It’s your average fast food Chinese place. Everything we got just tasted fried. Not much flavor. Based on the reviews I was hoping for a lot more.

Great food, fast delivery. Your typical Chinese takeout but above average. House Lo Mein, steamed dumplings, chicken with eggplant(made spicy), all very good. The only thing I didn’t care for was the chicken noodle soup, it really had no flavor. Buuuut I’m going to chalk that up as my bad… who orders chicken noodle soup from a Chinese restaurant? Lucky they’re so close by!

Solid delivery. My favorite in town. Great pork lo mein. Nice balance of noodles and pork. Fast service. Next day left overs where delicious. That’s just one of the ways I judge my Chinese. Update. I just took it from a four to a five. So good.

Ugh! Love Spring Garden! My favorite place for Chinese take out. The food always tastes so fresh and delicious and the staff is always so prompt and friendly. They never mess up my orders! Sometimes after a larger purchase, they throw in free almond cookies. YUM! Order today, you won’t be disappointed!

What can I say about Spring Garden… It’s a small establishment run by good, hard working people, where one can get a meal and a Coke for about 8 bucks. Hard to beat that. Fare is pretty much standard to what one finds in most Chinese take-out restaurants, but I’ll note that their pork fried rice is especially delicious!

Great place, always order take out from here and sometimes have it delivered. This is my favorite place in the Caldwell area, great wonton soup — the rest is pretty standard Chinese food but I like the way they do it. The store could use some updating.

This place used to be my favorite, not sure what happened. The dumplings come in a very thin wrapper, so you can see through it. Not my favorite. The sauce for the dumplings is great though. The general tsao’s was very sweet and had no crunch. The ribs were dry, but none were burned, so that was good. The egg roll had a lot of cabbage filler, not much pork– but my guess is these are purchased pre-made and just fried. Overall, a big let-down.

I read a previous review just now while i was preparing to write this, and was happy to see that my comment are clearly similar. I stopped here at 9pm on my way home, and was looking on both sides of the street to find a take-out chinese food place to take food home. The people were sincerely patient and personable with my making special requests, due to dietary restrictions I have. Not only were they tremendously accommodating, but they were extremely kind and helpful. I didn’t plan on writing a review, but when I got home and tasted the food — ‘WOW” I have eaten more Chinese food in the last 15 or so years than I could imagine, and just like the other review, I didn’t expect much also, but the Sesame Chicken was fantastic. Very tasty and and well beyond my expectations. I would compare this food to places in New York in China Town, and tell you I was really taken a-back, a-front, and a-side at how good it was. The egg roll(you would think — an egg roll is an egg roll) but it was crispy, fresh and not oily at all. The food EASILY compares to Chinese Food I have had at double and triple the price. The other dishes I brought for others here at home were equally noted to be really great. No question about it, I would go back, and even go out of my way to stop here again. FORSURE!

Stopped here for lunch one day because I was in the area. It’s a typical Chinese joint with usual fare, lunch specials, soup, etc., but with only one table and one booth. I ordered the lunch special of shrimp with broccoli spicy, brown rice, and hot and sour soup. I didn’t expect much but was pleasantly surprised. The shrimp were huge and they gave a good number of them, the sauce was tasty, and the brown rice decent. My complaints were: the hot and sour soup didn’t have much taste to it and there wasn’t much sauce to mix with the brown rice. These are small things that probably vary with each transaction, so no big deal. I paid under $ 6 for all that food and that was a steal. Lunch special includes: choice of pork fried, white, or brown rice; choice of soda or egg drop, hot and sour, or wonton soup. A group of people came in while I was eating and they all ordered the Szechuan Chicken spicy, so that might be the thing to try next time. A couple days later, I was at an event that ordered one party tray of the chicken with broccoli from this place and it was also quite good. I like how the broccoli stays crispy when they cook it. A solid four stars, and I would definitely return there(particularly for lunch)!

Spring Garden has consistently over the years had the best quality take out Chinese food in the Caldwell area and they also always give you generous portions to boot. They also have an excellent take out menu with lots of Hunan and Szechuan specialties to choose from.
