One thing that I have noticed is that almost every vintage audio repairman has an air of snobbishness about them but that being given, this guy managed to tick me off enough to post on Unilocal about my experience. His site is the number two Google search result when you type in «record player idler wheels» His site says that they over 4000+ of them in stock and when I inquired about them he offered very little information or help at all and even said in his email that he doesn’t sell them. What? You have more than 4000 of these parts in stock, you offer them for sale but you don’t sell them? He told me that I’d have to pull the whole motor and send it to him. I’m not a vintage audio restoration guru but, I’m no rube either and I’m capable of repairing this myself, that’s why I already know what specific part I need and contacted him to buy one from his selection of more than 4000. I guess the infinitesimally small niche market of vintage record player restoration is doing so well in this economy that he can afford to turn away business. This is what happens when you are stuck in the same era as the equipment you repair because bad customer service and business practices will not be hidden away in emails but instead, posted on Unilocal for everyone to read. My advice is to find another place to give your business to. ***ENDTRANSMISSIONNOTHINGFOLLOWS*** Why are you still reading? I said nothing follows!
