Hmmmm tried this for the first time and Dont think I will ever be back. Dont get me wrong though it wasn’t horrible. The pros– the portions were big and the food was hot, super hot. The con’s — the place looked like a dive, not to much charm or flow to the décor. The service was slow, we didn’t get drink refills once. Not once. I ordered sweet and sour chicken and it was soggy. I ate two pieces and didn’t need any more. The fried rice had what looked to be old meat. It wasn’t the best. $ 25 for two people with tap water to drink. Not to pricey but next time I’m hungry and pass yum yum I think I will head a block down and stop and McDonald’s :)

After looking over the reviews I wanted to try them out. The lady told me they don’t do deliveries. This was during the middle of the afternoon.

In town on business and heard portions were large and they were. Food was so hot as it was fresh cooked. Had the Yum lunch special and well worth the money. Don’t understand tea bags versus loose leaf tea but Shortfalls were no mustard sauces or sweet sauces on the tables and by the time server came around again it was to late. Food was good — place was clean enough and if service was better it would have gotten another star.

Excellent customer service. Super nice friendly and attentive. The food was a bit on the pricier side than what im used to but good. We had tonz of leftovers(it was only two of us). Which is good cuz i wont have to cook for a couple of days jeje… I’ve lived in calexico all my life and had never been. Its another good option to have because calexico is mostly limited to fast food.

This food was amazing and the customer service was even better we showed up almost closing time and the owner welcome to send in May great suggestions and provided prompt good service and good jokes. I will definitely come back when I’m in the Calexico area again. Try the salt-and-pepper shrimp and the Mongolian beef

Used to eat this in high school when they would deliver per-made trays with the favorites. Definitely a valley gem :)

So unauthentic I thought being it was close to the boarder it would be really good Chinese food but it was sick! Who puts carrots in fried rice? Why was the Kung Pao chicken gray & the sauce colorless? Again mostly carrots & celery two pieces of gray chicken max. Ice tea was powdered Nestea not even that was good. Seeing there was a catering van & delivery truck fooled me. The waitress was nice.

We ALWAYS stop here on our way in and out of Baja. The chow mein is so tasty and the house special fried rice is so good I got another batch to go! We also love the 10 plus individual combo meals that give us an appetizer, rice and a main course! Family run, quick service and a clean location. Our family will see you soon for more Yum Yum! –Bill, John, Heather and Jeannie.

Yum Yum Chinese food is a great place to grab Chinese food in Calexico. The service was fast and the food was tasty. I was relieved when I found out that the servers speak English and Spanish. My Spanish is pretty rusty, so it was refreshing to be able to speak to someone in complete sentences. We ordered the #3 family meal, which includes with BBQ Pork, eggs rolls, Beef & Broccoli, Sweet & Sour Chicken, and Pork Fried Rice. The shrimp was a lot smaller than I expected, but other than that I was impressed with the freshness and quality of the food.

Not for me. I had hoped differently. I mean I love Mex-Chinese food this was bland and to be the food tasted like left overs… Maybe because I came in almost before closing ?? Well just bring in your pink bottle of pepto for after.

This is a family operated establishment, the atmosphere is very nice, and the attention to the customers is outstanding. The food quantity and quality are also outstanding. There is wifi if you need it, and the owner is happy to engage you in conversation if you like. I highly recommend! I only eat two types of food when in the Imperial Valley, Chinese and Mexican. Some places are better than most, and this is one of them.

Christian doesn’t know what he’s talking about, I’m a Calexico native, and I love this place. I love the orange chicken, the mushroom chicken, the Mongolian beef. It’s all great food, always hot and tasty, I’ve never had anything bland or badly seasoned here.

Coming back from a week in San Felipe, we were all craving some Chinese food. Unilocaled. Out the closest area with best reviews coming into calexico, and Yum-Yum popped up. Had broccoli beef, orange chicken, and fried rice. Result, some of the best Chinese food I’ve had to date. Next time I’m in calexico, will be making a pit stop here.

Pretty decent for the area. The food was flavorful and portions were large. Nothing really ground shaking here. But you’ll leave content.

Had a chance to revisit Yum Yum and once again loved it. Asked about the negative reviews, and it appears this group had pre-ordered a preset meal. My experience was great. Even ordered something not in the menu and they accommodated. Great for large groups, plenty of parking, large portions. You’ll love it.

Good Cantonese style Chinese food. Family friendly, good service and fresh ingredients. Got to love a place that serves up chow main with jalapeños. Chinese food in the valley has developed a distinctive border flavor. I’ll order the same dishes in LA and its not the same. So its a treat to order up the #1 on the menu and go to town.

The owner went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our meal. When we asked for a vegetable he didn’t have, he produced a similar one which was scrumptious. The portions are very large and meat dishes are heavy on the meat. Ordering one dish for each diner sends you home with leftovers. Note that they recently moved so are several blocks closer to the border than listed in information sources.
