Duffy’s Motel North

Clean & quiet. I stayed here 2 nights for work. I have no complaints. I highly recommend this place. Great price. Customer service was great.

Duffys Motel. I was drawn there because I like the name of the place. Also I had a coupon from the travelers coupon mobile phone app, for 29.99 a night. The older gal at the desk didn’t know what to do with a coupon on a mobile phone. We had to get back in the car and drive over to the nearest convenience store to get the physical version of the coupon in a travelers magazine and bring it back to her and tear it out and sign it. That was a little bit bothersome. The room was spacious and nice and clean. The full size beds were ok but not many blankets which was ok cause the heater could cook you outta there. It was not a beautiful room, but it had microwave and mini fridge and an old-​style TV that worked just fine. I could not get the Internet to work. Our room was on the end of the building and perhaps was too far from the router. The bathroom was spacious and clean but very cold. I would recommend bringing a small ceramic heater to heat the bathroom separately. The heater for the room was at the other end and somehow that heat did not reach the bathroom. No hair dryer. Tiny thin towels. Also the water did not seem to be set at a very high temperature. It was sufficient to take a shower, but it was not a very hot shower. The shower head was kind of crazy and difficult to aim. check out time was 11 AM. No breakfast. The stern young gal who cleans the rooms beat on the door at five after 11 and told us to get out, or she was going to add another $ 10 onto our bill. I think that annoyed me more than the cool shower and cold bathroom. All in all I thought that the room was nice. You get what you pay for, and I hate paying a lot of money for a hotel room. This was the best $ 30 room I can remember in recent times.
