Eastern Buffet

My parents live in Calhoun and when I visit we almost always come here at least once. Calhoun is pretty much a dump of an area; there are no restaurants beyond Chinese, Mexican, and tons and tons of Fast Food garbage. So, this is by default one of very few options.
The staff here are all very sweet, before my parents moved to Calhoun my dad came down here on business and always came here out of convenience and lack of options. Back then, there were even fewer options in Calhoun, if you can imagine. Calhoun is pretty much a town that refuses to be built up so it just stays back in time and away from progression, which is seen in every negative way. As my dad says it’s like Mayberry RFD, which I think maybe the Calhoun-​ers would take as a compliment, but it’s not.
Back to the food, it’s hit for miss. We’ve come here many times over the years and sometimes it’s outstanding and sometimes the food looks like it’s been sitting for awhile. I’m sure it has to do with how busy they are and how much they restock the buffet.
We’ve gone to both Eastern Buffet and the Super Hibachi Buffet in Calhoun and they are both hit or miss. Both have super friendly employees, but it’s pretty much a toss up.

I absolutely love to eat here! This is one of the better Asian restaurants in the Atlanta metro area. The hibachi is one of the best. Hibachi is delicious, great sushi, egg custard is so good! Great prices! Also, service is great, and the lady at the register (the host) is very sweet and she is always there, so you’ll look forward to seeing her each visit. Love it.

For a standard asian buffet, this place is great. Good price, good food, good variety, attentive staff. The sushi and shrimp dishes are my favorite. The place is clean, a rarity for buffets in these parts! There’s homemade custard on the dessert bar.

This buffet is a lot nicer than most in the area. Very clean, good service and the food is kept hot. The hibachi grill is great. Very casual place to eat for lunch or dinner and you can watch tv on their big screen LCD if you like.

I went to Eastern Buffet with a friend. The service was good, but I think I’m over pan-​Asian buffets. I love sushi, but I’m a little disturbed by seeing it sit out for long period of time. There are other places in Calhoun serving better, less greasy Asian food.
