This is not some cookie-cutter chain pizza. Very good flavor and nice crust.

Had a party of 13 and called ahead. Everything was done on time and everyone was super friendly. Food was delicious and very affordable. I enjoyed it a lot. Great place!

It’s a small, local pizza/subs/other place. I banged a spoon on a pot(as the sign instructed me to do), ordered an italian sub(good), and ate it outside.

Great hidden gem in this rustic little town. The menu is quite extensive and the food is made from scratch with plenty of «TLC» thrown in. Every time I pass through this area I make this my go to stop whether I’m hungry or not, It’s that good. Remember when you order nothing is under a heat lamp, sometimes the internet goes out, or a coyote might steal your pizza when you get up from the patio to refill your drink. But it all just adds to the charm. So just kick back fight some of the birds for the grapes off the arbor on the patio while your waiting for your meal and do something we rarely get to do in our lives, relax and enjoy some good grubbin.

Amazing pizza! Always fresh made, so it’s a bit of a wait, but well worth it. Always looking for an excuse to go to Pioneer!

Love this place. Been here several times and decided it needed a review. Always yummy. Pastas, pizzas and salads. Does NOT happen very fast, but it is a small town and it is ALWAYS busy. Worth the time to sit and get to enjoy a meal.

The pizza was outstanding! You can tell they take pride in there food and it’s all homemade. We ordered a large pizza and the crust was crunchy and had just enough pull that you knew it was fresh. The sauce was tasty and had just the right amount of spices. There was enough cheese to where if you ordered extra cheese it might be too much. This is a small town, but the pizza was comparable to fancier places in Las Vegas without the hefty prices. The staff was extremely friendly and even though they close every night at 8:00, they let us order at 7:50 and eat it there. I can only count a handful of times when we went to a small town and walked away impressed by the food. You won’t regret going here.

I ordered and paid for a pizza waited 35 min. I asked how much longer it was going to be and they told me it had not been put in the oven yet and would be at least 45 more minutes. When I asked to have them refund my money since it was with a credit card they said they would have to call me. I will never try to eat there again! I am traveling to Las Vegas and I got a call 20 minutes later saying they could not refund my money until I came back with my card. Lost a full hour because of them!

Delicious fresh baked pizza. I was all little concerned passing through a small town with few options but this place was excellent.

One of my favorite things about the road trips my man and I go on is when we look for that hole in the wall mom & pop run place to eat. In Caliente, NV there isn’t a ton of options for places to eat or even a single fast food place in town. So for the small population that does live here they need a couple good places to rely on and Pioneer Pizza is one of them. It is in fact currently the only pizza place in town and for miles. Upon entering there were people in line ordering and people pulling up left and right out front for a order they had phoned in. This had me feeling good about the food being tasty. We looked over the menu and I couldn’t believe how reasonable the prices were! Every time we have eaten in Caliente I am impressed with the menu prices. Most of the appetizers are in the $ 2 range so if feels like *happy hour* all day every day! We couldn’t come to a pizza joint and not order pizza. I ordered us a large«½ Sausage & ½ Cheese Pizza». The pizza was made fresh from scratch and cost $ 15.75. The pizza was too yummy! The crust was just perfect. I also ordered the«Spicy Cheese Sticks». These are like mozzarella sticks but with cheddar inside and some spicy seasoning in the breading. I have never seen or tasted anything like this in my life(if anybody knows where I can find some in Vegas let me know!). One of my favorite things to order when I am in Caliente is a salad. They get the veggies from local gardens and the taste is just to fresh. They are also not stingy with what goes on the salad so you don’t just get 3 croutons and 1 cherry tomato. It is a nice fair amount of everything. I ordered the«Garden Salad» and couldn’t believe everything that came on it for only $ 3.50! It had fresh greens, tomatoes, celery, mushrooms, olives, onions, cucumbers, cauliflower, broccoli and carrots. It was such a nice day we ate at one of their outside tables. The seating inside is somewhat limited so if you have a large group you might want to call ahead. The cashier said the attached restaurant«Hansen’s» is currently being used as an extra dining room so you can call and let them know you are coming and if it isn’t being used they can get it ready for you. Our cashier/server was so genuinely nice. I recommend this place for sure. It isn’t fancy and not very big but absolutely laid back and delish. They also had a variety of sandwiches if pizza isn’t your thing.

We stopped here on a recommendation from friends as this place having the best pizza in the area. Not only were we treated well with a nice greeting upon entering, the service was stellar. The food was well worth waiting for, we had a salad and pizza and it was so good we ordered some to go. Our friends were telling the truth about this place being the best. Not only did several people come to eat in, but a lot of people call in for pick up. It was non stop and you would not see that if this place did not deliver with high quality, fresh ingredients and the highest of personal care put into every order. If you are in the area or passing through make it a point to stop here each and every time. It’s worth the time and the prices are very reasonable.

The pizza and salads here are awesome, the calzones are even better! I love to eat here. The only complaint I have is the price, being that it’s out in the middle of nowhere with no other pizza joints around they charge more than I’d like and there’s no $ 5 pizza. Just a tip: being that it’s run by a small crew, it’s best to call in about 45 minutes before you want to eat in order to have your pizza ready upon arrival. Also, the inside of the store is somewhat small, so if you plan on doing something with a large group you’ll probably want to take advantage of the outdoor seating.

For rural Nevada, this place is a gold mine(or a silver mine as the case may be). Try the especially tasty pesto pizza. The menu is fairly extensive and much healthier and more interesting than the french fries and hamburgers served elsewhere in Lincoln County. The bar next door(the Hideaway, which also serves food from Pioneer Pizza) has a relatively awesome beer collection for a town that’s at least 2 hours from a supermarket or liquor store. Note to urban hipsters: prepare to be scowled at if you discuss liberal politics. Prepare to be smiled at if you tip generously and compliment them on their menu and beer selection.
