We recently rented this house with two other couples for a Calistoga three-day getaway. The house was curiously old-fashioned with a bit of an odd floor plan, but charming, very comfortable, quiet and peaceful. Our bed was comfortable. The living room furniture was also comfortable, which is not always the case in vacation rental properties. The patio was spacious and well furnished for al fresco dining should one choose that option. We paid a very reasonable $ 160 per night per couple for a Tuesday — Thursday stay at the end of February. The house was fine for three couples and never felt crowded or like there was too much togetherness. The backyard is spacious and very pretty. There were two barbecue grills, one gas, one charcoal. The kitchen is very well equipped, small and a little difficult to use, but we made it work. The large living room was perfect for hanging out after a day of wine-tasting. We did not use the hot tub, but it is nicely situated in a small gazebo. It is Calistoga, after all, so don’t expect a glitzy modern hideaway. But all in all, the house was perfectly nice and was very good value for the money.

A group of us stayed here while we were out for my wedding in Calistoga. We loved it! We booked all 4 rooms. The house was adorable and the grounds were fantastic with the hottub. The kitchen was well equiped, and it was a nice stroll to get into downtown. Communication with the owners was difficult at best which is why i give this place the 4 star rating. Besides them not getting back to us via email, they also had a crazy policy where they do not accept credit cards which is not stated on their website and a friend of mine said they have in the past. If we are spending that amount of $$ we should be able to get some kind of perk by putting it on a card. If you don’t mind paying with a check or cash, this place is adorable and fit all of our needs.

So we booked a vacation home for the weekend. The vacation home had three rooms with attached restrooms The upside: The pretty garden and yard outside the home. The hot tub for fun. Lots of linens/pillows for each room. Well equipped kitchen-dining. The kitchen was rather small. A very beautiful green bathroom with separate shower cubicle. Warm living room. The downside: It was hot and the air conditioner oddly cooled only in the passageways. There was no vent in the rooms. The wooden floor was too creaky for my taste. Overall it was a good experience. We paid about $ 1300 plus security deposit for 2 nights. This place is close to many wineries and about 15 miles from nice restaurants in Downtown Napa/Yountville. There is a gas station, pizzeria, and small market very close to the vacation home. We booked at a very short notice and the manager was polite.
