Baymont Inn And Suites Calumet City

The baymont inn in calumet city, il needs to be CLOSED DOWN AND CONDEMED. It is DUSGUSTING THERE… rooms smell, bed have bed bugs i heard… my cuzzin stayed there her and her family of 9… and i went to visit them… NASTY, NASTY, NASTY… YUCK.

This place is one of the lesser hotels I’ve been in. I checked in early (1pm) because the hotel I had been staying at was sold out for the weekend so I couldn’t extend.
First of all, the room smelled of Pine-​sol and bleach. It was almost overpowering. I had to leave the hallway door open to air it out. Then, went to turn on the tv and the remote was for a different tv, so I had to keep getting up to change the channel or adjust the volume. The room they gave me was handicapped accessible room, so there was no shower per se, just a shower head sticking out of the wall, which meant when I showered, the water ran through the entire room. There were cigarette burns on the comforter, water stains on the chair and artwork on the wall. Surface mold on the wallpaper, black mold behind the wall paper that was peeling off the wall in the bathroom. And finally, cable wires running across the floor into the other rooms. I would never stay at this hotel ever again.
Finally, if you like breakfast, this establishment does not serve juice. They have cold orange drink and grape drink. It’s not juice. Also, you’ll have the option of stale bagels, some strange goop that I think is supposed to be oatmeal or maybe grits, or they have large 10 gal. vats of stale fruit loops or raisin bran.
Just for good measure, the neighborhood welcoming committee stole the spare tire that was underneath my work truck. Which left the lock in mechanism dragging on the ground as I pulled out of the lot this morning.
This hotel is a joke and I will be writing a letter of complaint to the management. Which, by the way, they never had a manager on duty. An absolute nightmare.

There is a constant smell of marijuana all over the grounds here. Is it legal in Illinois? I could smell it outside and in the main hallway. The hotel has beds. That’s all I can say about them. They took the tube TV out while I was away and put in a flat screen, but that doesn’t make up for the possible contact high you might get. UPDATE: The hotel staff finally found some air freshener and sprayed it for an hour. I guess they noticed…

Took 20 minutes to check in be aid the clerk was so slow. The elevator was broken. Pool was closed for maintenance and it was impossible to control the temperature in the rooms. Besides all that the room was clean
