Just stay away from the chips and you’ll be fine. The fish taco is nice. You don’t get very much for the price but that’s ok. My friends had the fried fish and they liked it. But the corn chips that are served are really bad. Which was half of my meal so it put a dampener on the enjoyment. The chips taste like mildewed corn-meal that’s been mashed together into chip form. It was strangely bad. However the rest of it was pretty down the middle. Good customer service, food was served pretty fast, nice seating.

We went there with my daughter and really enjoyed it. The catfish I had and the Cod Sandwich my husband had were very, very good. Sweet potato fries. YUM. The service was good and the cook personally checked with us to ensure we enjoyed our meal. My daughter really enjoyed the Catsup, the ice cream and the fact that the table had little built in cups for the vinegar(she is 3).

For any bad reviews below after reading them they all need to realize this is close to a fast food restaurant and fast food prices but food similar to Anthony’s taste and quality. Amazing large portions. Very fresh and great taste! Very impressed! We got the shrimp Diablo and it was excellent !! Clam chowder very homemade !! Tarter sauce excellent ! Everything homemade you can tell !!! The hostess/front desk gal everyone must be talking about that is so nice is probably Kenzie ! She is extremely sweet and doesn’t take anything personal !!! Nice job REDS fishhouse! We will be back

I come here for ice cream and to be honest I wouldn’t eat food here, after watching the young cooks with a general don’t give a care attitudes — and young(high-school cheerleader-type) cashiers in yoga pants. What the heck guys? Maybe it’s different now but it seems management hasn’t hired professional staff. No thank you.

This was my fourth time here and the staff is great and the food was really good. My only complaint is they changed the menu and took off my favorite dish, steamed Mussel and Clams.

I have eaten at Reds twice — about a month apart. Attentive staff both times. the first time it was obvious that everything was new. the second time it was clear that they were working very hard to make it the high quality experience you get at the collective. both times I ordered the fish and chips. the portions are enough for two people. the person who took our order(at the counter) also brought us the order and made sure all of our needs were met. one confusing aspect is the tip jar at the place where we order. this is confusing because that person is also our server so where and now do we determine how much to tip? do I throw some cash in the jar after I order for some reason? The servers should be tipped based on their service from beginning to end. So the tip should be given at the end of the dining experience. I tipped well because we had great service, but the process was awkward. fish and chips are great and the collective pub is next store. There is one owner for both places so you can bring food from one to the other. I’ll be eating at Reds in the future and I recommend the place to others.

My wife and I really liked this place. They are owned by the guys next door, Collective. So they delivered their food to us as well. Between the two of us, we ordered the Fried Pickle Chips to start… they were hit and delicious! Went great with our beer! We ordered a couple of local beers, the 6 and the 4(they made me order by number…) the beer was nice and cold. I ordered the Fried Oysters and my wife ordered the Fish and Chips. It was really good! I was a bit nervous at first to find out they owned another Collective in Woodinville, but it was just darn good food. The tartar sauce was tangy, homemade and I ordered cocktail sauce to go with my Fried Oysters. The sauces were made by someone who obviously cared what it tastes like. Not from a bottle. And the cole slaw was cold and crunchy and was a great compliment to the rich fried food. I became a fan of this place today! Nice job guys!

I don’t know if I was just really hungry or what, but the fish & chips(cod) we got was out of this world! The breading on the fish had dill in it which was actually a really nice addition. The fish was super tender and fresh. The fries were really big and on the soft side. Perfect in my opinion. Not too oily. The cole slaw was delicious. The tarter sauce was homemade. Even the lemon wedge for the fish was perfect– bursting with juice! The restaurant didn’t open until after noon today because they had to get someone come look at their refrigerator. Because of that the wait time for food was 20 minutes but we didn’t mind. I am definitely going to give their sweet potato waffle fries a try next time.

Had the clams and mussel appetizer today and it was just ok. Friend had the chowder and it was better due to at least some unique seasonings. We sat at the wood bench seats and the leg assembly was bad especially for someone who is not agile. Someone other that the person taking our order had to ring the beer separately due to the server being underage. Might try the fish(cod) next time if we decide to go back. Table was sticky and you had to get your own water. Over all not very impressed.

I’m starting with four stars because I haven’t actually tried their food. But I’m happy to have another restaurant on the island, like the looks of the menu, glad they have outside seating, glad they have a liquor license. The Lopez Island ice cream, which is what I had is excellent, the portions were large and my husband said the waffle cone was the best he had ever had! When we inquired we found out that they make them on-site.

We have been to Red’s three times. Initially, we found the food and service pretty good with the exception of the hush puppies being raw in the middle. On our second visit, the hush puppies were smaller and well done with good flavor. Our fish and chowder were delightful. On our third visit today, the hush puppies were bland, the slaw was dry and without flavor, the chowder fell way short(it resembled a corn chowder gone bad, at best), cod basket overly greasy not to mention the basket offers only one piece of fish! In the end an evening of heartburn for $ 40+…aaargh! We want to compliment the waitress, her kindness in the face of such a shortcoming was truly appreciated. She offered to address or complaint with the resolution to remove the hush puppies.

I’ve never left a bad review before, but my experience here was exceptionally bad. There’s not a lot of options for food on this island, but I think I would still avoid this place. The woman working the register when we first got there was really friendly, got us a high chair for our baby, gave us recommendations, etc… but when she left it started to go downhill for us. Her replacement was a girl who seemed pretty overwhelmed and not big on customer service(although, I think she was a teenager). My food order was somehow lost, so after waiting half an hour after my husband had already finished his meal I went to tell her and she honestly seemed irritated with me for bringing her the problem. We waited quite a bit longer for the food, and I’m glad I changed it to a to-go order because when I got home the garlic bread was soggy so i toasted it in my oven(all the food sat for quite awhile in the box before they finally bagged it up for me), and the pasta was bland so I put some parmesan cheese from my fridge on it. The bread smelled a bit like cigarette smoke coming out of the box and I’d compare the pasta to olive garden. I gave an extra star because for the most part my husband liked his catfish, though he thought the sauce tasted like it came out of a can. I don’t think I’d be leaving a bad review if I’d at least received an apology, and if the young girl working the front didn’t seem so darn irritated with me, especially when I was being reasonable and quiet about it all. We just got here from LA, where the restaurant business is quite a bit more competitive, and at the very least the manager would have given us a refund for that portion of the meal. I don’t exactly expect that from places out here… but yeah, an apology(the cook, not a teenager, was RIGHT there and could have also done this), a little better attitude from the cashier/waitress, and some plasticware and napkins for the to-go order would have been a sufficient bandage.

I really wanted to give this a great review. I even told myself they will have kinks because it was their soft opening but honestly, there were just too many kinks even for a soft opening. There were hardly any tables although I hear they are adding more. We had to wait a very long time to have a table cleaned so we could sit down. My daughter ordered a milk shake and it tasted like thick milk with a hint of peanut butter ice cream flavor. We could tell the girl making it had no idea what she was doing and winged it. There should’ve been a recipe with measurements of number of scoops, specific measurement of milk, etc. so she could nail it even with no experience. We waited an uncomfortable amount of time for our food. My daughter’s chicken tenders were burnt to almost black — even though the wait was long, they should not have served that food. My husband took it back and had them make it again — it was unacceptable and they should’ve cared enough to not serve it. Two of our meals came with cole slaw but they forgot to give it to us — we had to ask for it and once we got it, was disappointed. It had no taste, added salt, still no taste so left behind. My husband got the shrimp Bahn Mi sandwich — they served the sandwich closed with tails still on the shrimp! My husband found out when he bit on a tail! I had the clam strips — they were mediocre but the fries were limp and needed to be in the fryer longer. They may have rushed preparing our order because it took so long but a way to your customers heart is not serving under or over cooked food. An apology about the wait and properly prepared food would have gone way farther in customer service. On a positive note, the cashier cared, was friendly and working her tail off. The girl making the milkshake seemed to be lost and had no clue the urgency of the busy pace of the restaurant. If this place wants to be successful they need to hire more people to cover busy times, more training to make sure tables are cleared, recipes are followed and food is cooked appropriately.
