I recently moved to the area and this salon was right in my area. I was hesitant at first with a few of the comments on here, but I figured I would give it a shot. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by multiple hairstylists and assured someone would be right with me. 30 seconds later a young lady walked from the back and also greeted me and asked how she may assist me. I was unsure about getting color, but was comitted to getting a haircut for sure. She then gave me some material and hue charts to look at while I made up my mind about the color. I waited about 10 minutes and my stylist was awesome. We talked color and cuts … she was very well informed and helpful. Do to the damage of my hair, she suggested after my cut that I deep condition my hair and come back in so she can let me know if my hair was healthy enough. I will be back in 4 to 6 weeks and hope my hair is healthy enough for color. Great shop, well informed stylists and my new spot !!!

Regret not reading the one star reviews as they would have better prepared me for my experience. While I was getting my haircut, the customer that walked in was ignored by both workers – including the one sweeping. He left. While the two Citicuts employees were otherwise professional, the body language, side conversations, and manner of cutting my hair made me feel like I was bother more than a customer. Good material for a comedy skit though.

Moved to Camarillo recently and noticed this saloon was not only close to my home, but the only one within a reasonable distance. Unfortunatley though twice now I’ve come here 30 minutes before closing, walked in, was ignored for 5 minutes then told they were closed. I guess I’d be a little more understandable if there was just one stylist there to close up but not when there’s 2 or more. Besides, I’m a guy, my haircuts take 15 minutes tops. I’ve really wanted to make this place my new saloon but after this last run in, there is no way I’ll be back. Btw, as I’m sitting in my car writing this, 3 other people have walked in to experience the same thing.

My hair suffered various failures from other places, and needs a revamp ASAP. I was short on time and had to find something close. That is when I noticed Citicuts, and gave it a try. I am glad I did because Esmeralda is a wonder. She was very professional, evened my hair out, and made it as good as new.

So it’s 80 degrees with 84% humidity. I walk into Citicuts at 11 a.m. on a Sunday and it’s like a freaking sauna. «Ok» I think, «maybe the air is broken.» I’m the only customer in this paradise, and the chick talking on her cell phone tells me to sign in. Okaaay. So I’m sitting there watching one employee talk on her cell phone, and another one sweep. I ask if the air conditioner is broken, and the chick sweeping says no, they just don’t have it on. About five minutes later the one on her cell phone hangs up and asks me to sit in her styling chair. As I walk further into the place, I feel like I’m in a jungle. So I tell them it’s too hot, they should turn the air on and I left. Now maybe it’s the cheapass owner who refuses to turn on the air. Smart move! You lost yourself a customer who was going to get The Works. So now you’re out $ 40 and the employee is out a good tip (I tip around 25−30%). Freaking geniuses. From this day forward I will refer to your hellhole as Shitty Cuts.

Alma is my go to stylist. She is extremely meticulous and efficient.

I have been here several times and always request that Esmeralda cuts my hair. She is very friendly and efficient. She always cuts my hair just how I want it. Highly recommend!

I’ve had several haircuts here. Laura is my favorite. She takes her time to do it right. Always looks good.

Been getting my hair cut here for years. Professional, no fuss, friendly, in and out.

Absolutely the worst customer service I have encountered from any business. Uncalled for comments made by the manager (Esmerelda) to an 11 year old boy, in front of other children. She needs to learn to use her inside voice and a little common sense. The tragedy here is that Sandi Kimball, the owner, will not return calls and apparently isn’t concerned about the day to day customer interactions. I would caution anyone who allows their kids to go there to have an adult or, at least other friends, with them to ensure they only get a hair cut and do not leave with psychological damage.
