PROS: — Location! These apartments are centrally located from various grocery stores, fast food joints, outlet mall, highway off ramps(101 north AND south), banks, etc. In fact, you’re so close to these places that you don’t even need to take a car to get to these places! Basically, you got half of Camarillo’s stores within a mile radius! — Whenever something breaks in your apartment, the maintenance guys are on it! — If you get to know the neighbors, the neighbors aren’t bad. I’ve met some pretty wonderful people during my time at this apartment complex. — Susan, Susan, and SUSAN! She is the MOSTWONDERFUL weekday resident manager I have EVER had in the history of apartment managers! While you expect fake kindness and smiles from an apartment manager so that you can sign your lease, Susan GENUINELYCARES about the concerns of the residents even when you sign the lease! If only she could be manager of my new place. CONS: — The walls are thin. You can practically hear what goes on with almost all your neighbors that share walls and ceilings with you on how thin they are. If you are in a 2 bedroom and both individuals have their windows opened, you will be able to hear their conversations loud and clear, especially if the windows are open(the windows are designed where if you have the window opened halfway [they open out] sound will travel through each room quite nicely). — Some of the apartments are too dark. Depending on where your new apartment will be located, mine was unfortunately located in an area where there was barely any sunlight shining in my room. Also, the windows in the bedrooms were pretty tiny which did not allow for much sunlight. — Parking is a NIGHTMARE! If you’re not at the apartments by 5:00PM, do expect to park across the road in a residential neighborhood where the people in that neighborhood already despise you with such passion. — The utility shut offs(primarily water and electricity) get pretty old. Every once in a while the water shuts off which can get pretty irritating especially when you have to go out and buy bottled water for cooking and bathing(yes, I used bottled water to bathe myself during one of their water shut offs). Electricity shut offs usually means eat up what you can before the food rots. — No AC at my old apartment. Why do these apartments not have air conditioning? — No ceiling light fixtures in the bedrooms. Is this a Ventura County thing? I swear, a lot of places I’ve seen in the area seem to not have a ceiling light fixture. — I hope you like the sounds of crying and screaming children, especially if your apartment is faced towards the park, because a lot of families live in these apartment complexes and you’ll be hearing it all.

I lived here for a year. The apartments were modern and clean. There’s a small gym with a TV which I used several times a week — great if you’re into that sort of thing. The people working here — especially Susan during the week — were really helpful and pleasant to live with! Location is great too, really nice place to live. I guess the only thing to keep in mind is there is construction nearby and plenty of kids, so expect a little noise during the day but nothing terrible.
