Shanaye is friendly was able to accommodate me at a short notice. Took only 3 hrs to do box braids. Very happy will be coming back.

I moved out here from Colorado, and was looking for a trusted place I could get my hair done. I love to switch between natural hair and extensions. Needless to say, I found a new hair home. Shanaye has been my stylist since March (I’ve only lived in Cali since December of 2014) Every time I come here, the staff is very friendly. The customer service is amazing. Any questions or concerns, they always educate you on how you can maintain your hair. I’ve always seen people leave happy… I ALWAYS LEAVE HAPPY lol. They are well versed in multi cultural hair and actually listen to what you want and execute the best way possible to secure the integrity of the clients hair. I commute from Santa Barbara and don’t mind it at all because I know my hair is taken care of. Anyone who is looking for a good salon I def recommend here!

This place is clean and the people are nice however the hair quality and work Shanise did on me was horrible. My extensions came out 2 days after I had to go back in to fix them. After that they only lasted another 9 days I’m so tired of this that I haven’t called back. I took them completely out and I’m back to square one! I wish I could get my money back! What a waste of 300 dollars!!!

If you want faux dreads or braids look no further. I saw Neesha who is personable, great prices, and does a good job.(fast too) In the past I’ve consulted other salons about the faux dreads. They wanted to perm my hair, to create the look. That is not the correct way. Neesha does it correctly without harming your hair or causing permanent damage.

Go see Shawna, she is awesome! Takes her time and does a beautiful job. If you need a little tweek, she’s there for you. No complaints. Got a great cut with some beautiful purple highlights recently. She’s now my personal stylist ;)

From the couple of times we called to get quotes, and ask a few questions, shanaye was very professional. Very curtious the entire appointment. I Kinda of went in expecting a long wait, long breaks. Pleasantly surprised. She took exactly the time she said to braid my hair, gave very helpful tips on self maintenance, and very reasonable pricing if i chose to come in for braid maintenance in the salon. Will definitely recommend for braids, and i will be a returning customer.

My appointment with Shanaye was 5 days ago, I waited to post this review (my first) because I didn’t want to be emotional. My appointment was for LOC maintenance, wash, deep condition and palm roll of neck length dreadlocks.
I called in advance to confirm that Shanaye provided this service and she responded with confidence that she did. I travel a lot so I have experienced several locticians and their techniques… I know quality when I experience it and unfortunately that was not my experience with Shanaye.
Specifics: The deep conditioning consisted of patting conditioner on my hair then rinsing it right out. My LOCS are as frizzy as they were when I came in which is the MAIN reason for the appointment. The LOCS themselves are these ridiculous curly cues — if you’ve ever taken a loc of hair and twisted and twisted it until it coiled up tight on your scalp like a spring or a slinky — THAT’s what I got for a palm roll. These things were sticking up all over my head in every direction, I wanted to scream when I looked in the mirror. The LOCS were drenched in oil (wax?) that soaked through my night wrap onto my pillow — it has taken me days to get the grease out.
I cannot recommend this stylist for LOC maintenance. I have another appointment scheduled to undue this mess. It’s a total joke!

My mother went to this salon to get her locs retwisted and cleaned up. I will say, her and I have been spoiled by having our locs started and maintained by Damian Walter ((if you want to know what a quality loctician SHOULD be doing, please youtube this man)) so the bar for quality is high.
My mom called me almost immediately after leaving this salon and told me her hair was so greasy that she might just go home, wash and retwist it again herself! Also, Eco-​gel is being used here. People, your hair might hold a bit longer with it and you might ‘look good’ for a few days but let me tell you, the hair can’t breathe or move like it naturally wants to when this drying agent is used. We want to promote hair growth, not drown it is oils or dry it out with gels.
I don’t know why it’s so difficult to find a ‘hair studio’ with educated black hair dressers that know about black hair. We want long term, growth PROMOTING, moisturized hair. Hair that has integrity. She will not be returning to this salon.

Shanaye and Shanise saved the day! Both of them accommodated my mom at the last minute. I appreciate their efforts for making the appointment and executing a dynamic hairstyle that had all heads turn at my dad’s retirement party. Job well done and thank you very much.

From the first contact over the phone until now, I’ve been going to Neesha for my hair needs for over a year and I’ve always gotten exceptional results. I moved to Camarillo with the fear that I would not find a stylist to meet my needs. Neesha has always been consistent when it comes to my ever changing styles and I would recommend her to anyone who wants a great precision cut or extensions. Neesha is all about keeping your hair healthy only uses and recommends the best products for your hair.
My appointments begin on time. The atmosphere in the salon is always friendly and welcoming. I’ve gone from a long wavy weave to a short feathered bob weave, getting compliments on a daily basis. I leave looking AMAZING!

I got a hair weave by Neesha and she did such a great job! She has the best techniques and is so nice and welcoming. The salon is clean and well kept. I definitely recommend this salon and Neesha for anyone’s hair needs!
