Amazingly good & great service. Get their lunch special, it’s the best deal in town & it tastes great every time.

Fantastic Food! we drive from Ojai for this food. The owner mentioned that he is looking into opening a «Take-out» spot in Ojai. So excited!

Worst service! We waited an hour for take out before we left and ate somewhere else. Poorly ran. We were treated like an inconvenience.

Absolutely outstanding food! This is the real deal, the richness & depth of spices, fresh flavors & all well executed, everything you could want from Indian food. Cute little dining room, though we often order to go(grab a drink @ Mission Oaks Café while you wait!). The tandoori is out of this world, everything is delish, who knew you could find such skill & authenticity in Canarillo!

It has been a while i enjoyed Sri Lankan delicacies and Curry Leaf just made it worth the wait. Every dish i tasted this evening was perfect — Mango Curry was perfect in the sweet and sour combination, Fish fry had a fine sampling of onion, curry leaves and the fish of course, Chicken curry was hot for my south indian tongue, the traditional wheat paratha melted as i savoured each bite. I wish we had a similar team in Chicago to dish out the best Sri Lankan curries.

This is the best Indian food in the area. By far. You have to start with the garlic cauliflower. Every single table in the whole restaurant got it as a starter. Just do it. So good. I got the channa masala and my friend got tikka masala. Both were great. The little salad that comes with the lunch is fresh and tasty. And the naan… so good and a bunch of pieces. We will be back!

This restaurant has amazing Indian food. The prices are very reasonable and you definitely will not be disappointed with your dish selection. Before you order, ask for the owner — Sandy. He will recommend the best dish for you and your guests. That’s extremely important if you prefer your food spicy or not spicy. Atmosphere is nice, location is close to Vons so definitely drop by while shopping. You will enjoy your experience at the Curry Leaf.

The food and service was great. The paneer entrée was recommended(by who I think was the owner) and it was as great as promised. Naan was also well prepared. This is a smaller venue and intimate. Go here-the food is amazing.

So much flavor here at the curry leaf! The culture blend of this cuisine is happiness in your mouth! I didn’t realize that there are parts of India that have some Chinese flavor to them. I had an amazing cauliflower appetizer and Korma for lunch! My daughter is vegan and had many choices. She had the spinach dish. We were very full and satisfied. Our server was friendly too. This is a small place but worth the wait. Be patient it’s worth it!

The Curry Leaf made chicken tikka masala and basmati rice for a party I planned in Westlake Village. It was on-time and well-received by all the discerning guests. Cheryl One Fine Party

We waited here for 45 min for a to go order on a Wednesday evening. When I asked them to give me 2 green chilies with the food they said I’ll be charged for it. Kept insisting on ordering a salad if I wanted the chilies. The food was average at best. Seems like this place is the only Indian restaurant in town and the owner does not seem to have any customer service sense. I wish there is competition to understand the concept. Avoidable in my honest opinion. I have been to much better Indian joints … I am not even sure if the owner was from India …

Last night, I went with a party of 7 for my mom’s birthday. We arrived at 6:30 and stood there at the entrance waiting for a waiter to ask us how many are in our party. We get completely ignored by the servers for minutes. Finally, we approach an employee to put our name on the waiting list. I get that they were busy. We let it slide. In front of us was another group of 7. After waiting 20 minutes, about half the tables in the restaurant open up all within a few minute span. What was odd that none of the servers made any attempt to slide together any of the 6 open tables(all right next to each other) and seat the two large parties they had waiting awkwardly by the door and outside. After another 10 minutes, they put three of the small tables together and seat the other party of 7, with one chair at the head. We continued waiting, and waiting, and waiting. Another 10 minutes pass. At this point we started getting irritated. We then ask the servers if we can slide 2 of the 3 open tables together(all are large tables that seat 4, so 2 of them together can seat 7 pretty easily), just so we can sit down. They said no because WE would be too cramped. We said it’s really not an issue and we’ve been waiting 40 minutes, and besides, they just put a chair on the end of the table for the other group, and we wouldn’t mind doing that either. We would much prefer to sit down instead of having to stand by the door and crowd the rest of the restaurant. He refused to seat us, and gave us a nasty look. None of the staff ever made an attempt to keep us informed about what was going on. They completely ignored us and only communicated with us when we approached them to ask what was going on. We left. I have never been treated this poorly by a restaurant staff and will never go back.

I’ve been craving Indian food for the last week and my fiancé took me here for dinner tonight on our way to LA. I was pleasantly surprised upon walking into the restaurant as I was greeted with an aromatic smell of different spices. Tonight we ordered tandoori chicken, butter chicken, and tikka masala chicken. I was most excited for the tandoori chicken as that was what I had been craving all week. We each had a small serving of each dish with rice which was enough to keep of us full and still have enough for tomorrow’s lunch. I was shocked that by the end of the dinner, my favorite was not the tandoori chicken but the butter chicken. I was slightly disappointed that the tandoori chicken was not as flavorful as I expected it to be-but maybe it’s because I had high expectations that it would taste just like how it’s made at home. The tikka masala chicken was my least favorite out of all 3 dishes but it sure packed a lot of flavor. I have no words to say for the butter except that it was wonderfully made and I will definitely be ordering it again the next time we go. I can see now why we had to wait at least for 10 minutes before we got called in as this place serves amazing Indian food. We will definitely be coming back!

The best Indian food I’ve ever had! I’ve been to many Indian restaurants in SF valley and Ventura, and nothing else comes close. The best things here are the chicken tikka masala. Chicken lollipop, chicken 65, and the garlic naan is a must have. Parking is In big shopping center parking lot. One downside is have to walk through the kitchen to use the bathroom. The owner told me he has two more locations in Santa Barbara, but I’ve never been.

The Curry Leaf is a Camarillo gem tucked in the corner of Mission Oaks Plaza next to CVS Pharmacy. While quite small and usually crowded, it is crowded for a reason. The food and service is absolutely fabulous. I have been coming here for a number of years ever since the took over after the previous fish restaurant went out of business. The food here is always fresh and provides the taste that you would expect from an Indian restaurant. If you don’t want to dine in or are in a hurry, you can always order to go and then pick it up after it is ready. Either way, the food will always taste great and keep you coming back for more.

I love the food when I can get it. Opening hours are advertised as 11.30−3. Reality is that they close whenever they feel like it. Arrived once and was told the kitchen closes at 2.45. OK, have to get there by 2.45 Get there at 2.30CLOSED. So what time is closing time??? Food is great, just impossible to get sometimes. So I guess I’ll make believe closing time is 2… or 1… who knows.

I have read the favorable reviews of this Indian restaurant in Camarillo and have been longing to try it. Finally, had our chance on Friday, May 22 for dinner. It is a small restaurant and filled to capacity not too long after the later afternoon/early evening opening time. Tables are clean and topped with clean white cloths and paper sheets on top. We ordered naan(garlic and plain variety), chicken lollipops — chicken drumsticks with the meat pulled to one end and cooked as such, chicken bombay, chick marsala, and two orders of saffron rice. Food was good and flavorful. Please note that there was a 20 — 30 minute wait for the poultry food items as stated in the menus. Also, the items were ordered separately as opposed to a dinner combination. The food tasted good and was flavorful. Gave 4 stars — docked 1 star for the wait time. Will definitely come back again.

I understand why there were so many take-out orders being made on that Saturday night. The restaurant was full and we waited about 15 minutes for our party of 3. While we were waiting, there was a couple with a kid who walked in and persuaded one of the waiters to let them sit at the 2-person table while their kid could sit on the side. I thought that was a bit unfair. On top of the table cloths were paper table cloths to make clean up easier for the staff. I found it a bit bothersome that the corner of the paper was sticking out right in front of me. No worry, just fold it underneath and you’re good to go! On the menu it states to expect a wait for the food. We ordered the garlic cauliflower appetizer, garlic naan, paneer masala, tandoori fish, and chicken tikka masala. The garlic cauliflower was pretty good. If something has ‘garlic’ in the title I expect there to be a distinct garlic taste. However, this dish didn’t have that :(It was still good, though. Reminded us a lot of the orange chicken you get at Panda Express. The masalas were tasty and flavorful. great sauces to sop up with the garlic naan. The owner, I presume, seemed to know a lot of his customers. He greeted everyone and checked on the tables to make sure everything was okay. I overheard the owner rushing the guys so the environment felt a bit hectic at times with all the waiters rushing around.
