This separate side of shopping structure is more contemporary with shops like Neiman Last Call, Off 5th, etc. According to my phone’s GPS, The Promenade is located 0.4 miles from the main drag, seems less chaotic overall. I wouldn’t miss it because of the shops here. I think this wing is tailored to the fashionistas such as myself. :)

The outlet shops closest to Las Posas have the added benefit of some decent restaurants like Johnny Rocket, Panera, and Chipotles near the Cinema. Loads of clothing and shoe shops, like the large Forever 21, Vans, and Skechers stores stretch along in an arc with plenty of parking in this area which doesn’t feel as hemmed in as the original outlet stores which have inadequate parking on weekends and Christmas shopping mayhem time. My out of town frineds love shopping here, and I can usually find a good deal at Forever 21 or Charlotte Russe.

Another very fun trip to this part of the Camarillo Outlet complex. I sure made my MIL& wife happy with lots of great 70−90% off deals on Woman’s stuff. I came away with a limited edition $ 140 Light Blue Cut-to-Clear Annual Champagne glass from the special case in the Waterford store for myself. Over the decades, I have been to almost all of the Premium or other Outlet Store complexes in CA, Vegas, &HI. Huge: Gilroy, Desert Hills(near Palm Springs, & has Movado, Prada, Ralph), HI (Sak’s), Vegas(all kinds) Camarillo(Coach, Fossil), Great America Large: LA area Small to Medium: Pismo(Ralph Lauren), Napa(wine country cute & has Tumi) Brooks Brothers; Tracy(don’t bother), & I am sure that I am missing a few… Anyway, on this third trip here, we visited The Promenade(part) where there are some higher end stores, at this end of the Mega-multi-complex-complex, like Nieman Needless Markup(but great deals on cheaper non-leather purses) & Sak’s at Fifth(nice woman’s backpacks, but kind of a messy store). The neat & clean New Balance Sneaker store is here too, but they have only one top of the line USA made choice here. Since it takes really one day to do 1 – 2 parts of this Mega-complex, you need to either stay & do a marathon for 2 days(I prefer the Hyatt in Santa Barbara)…or visit here and concentrate on only one 1⁄3 of the complex, or just pick your fav stores. People are a mix of LA& Mid-CA types, with a greater mix of Asians. Both customers & staff are fairly polite & civil. Get: Women’s clothes on the cheap & speciality items(Top quality leather bags from Fossil or Coach, Higher end USA made Sneakers from NB, Top end limited edition glassware, good rain/ski wear from Northface, etc…). Stay: at nearby Hyatt’s north in Santa Barbara(by the beach), or down south in Thousand Oaks. Camarillo proper has crappy hotels just like near Gilroy & others. Parking: Around holidays, parking can be nuts at any outlet store. Shoppers are total animals at Gilroy’s. Smaller outlets can be a great side trip if you visit Pismo or Napa for Wine tasting…&/ or beaches. The complex food kind of stinks at all of them… so you have to go off site to get a proper meal(or a decent nearby bathroom). Eats: There is a Whole Foods Market with a decent deli just a few miles away from Camarillo in Oxnard. Lures Fish Market is a crowded overpriced nearby place that offers an attitude with not much better food than Red Lobster & such(but have good fresh Oysters). If you do your research & catch a decent sale, you will leave pretty happy with your choices. BEWARE…it is so not worth doing Black Friday here, nor anywhere else for that matter… it is far less aggravation to use the net & then return the crap latter that you do not want.

Coming from the Bay Area, my standard outlets are in Gilroy but these were a big treat as they have newer outlet stores such as Kate Spade, Tory Burch, Barney’s, etc. There is a ton of parking and more than 100+ stores. There are also a number of different types of restaurants if you need one as well. One of my favorite parts of the outlets is being able to get the AAA discount if you go to their kiosk. If you go, and show your AAA card they will give you a coupon book to use. Often, if you ask at stores they will honor this discount with or without the coupon book.

Great staff. Super helpful, employees are genuinely having fun and involving customers. Take the advise and try on the Half-Cabs, store favorite!

The Promenade is part of the Camarillo Outlets. It contains the Regal Cinema, Johnny Rockets, and a bunch of outlet shops such as Crocs, Gap, Disney, and DC Shoes. Every holiday and more there are large sales at every shop here, but with the sales come large crowds so make sure to get here at 10am when it opens. However, if you have a AAA card, make sure to go to information services in the Outlet and pick up a free AAA coupon booklet. The booklet contains discounts on most shops, including 50% discounts at certain stores like DC.

Review for: After-Thanksgiving Weekend Sale — Midnight Madness FYI, come early, lines can be really really long & parking can get to be pain in the butt =( There are some really great after Thanksgiving sales here, the best was where the store would have 50−60% off of ALL in store merchandise AND on top of that, 15– 20% off &PLUS, you could combine this with the VIP coupon book(which you can get from the Customer Service office– you have to have a AAA card /a printout from the VIP Club) discounts too. This combo of discounts made it SO worth while to come here after eating all that food to go walking around to work off all that food. =) You have to be patient to be able to withstand the crowds, lines, hunting & digging in order to get good deals… if you are a person that can’t stand any of these things then I suggest you just sit @ home & shop online =) They are part of Camarillo Outlets, they are just the other side of the Camarillo Outlets… Camarillo Outlets website: …
