I am a first time author and first time publisher. I co-created a children’s book called The Adventures of Andrew Price that I had pre-sold 500 copies of. I explored a number of options, domestic and international, to have it printed over the course of about one year. I chose U Build A book in the end because of the personal rapport I experienced with the owners over the phone. I found that Ann and Dennis really extended themselves to me every step of the way. I experienced them as quite supportive. Dennis has been a consistent cheerleader, and I was so happy to have the opportunity to meet him on a visit to Southern California after the first run had printed. The rest of the staff has been supportive as well. Steve in the art department worked closely with my partner and I to help us prepare the document, and Kathleen in the finance department was consistently very responsive to my inquiries. We did have some hiccups in our process, but this company really stands by their service and the books they print and they ensured that any and all problems we faced were solved to my satisfaction each and every time. I have already placed another order and will continue to choose this company as I move forward with the next book! This is my first time having a photo book printed and I am very happy with the results. I went on a vacation this summer with a few friends and wanted to surprise them with photo book of our vacation. A friend suggested U Build A Book because of their easy to use photo book software and quick turn-around time. It’s nice because they have several photo layout templates that make it easy to arrange photos in the book. They also have several cool borders and frames to add flare. The layout process took much less time than I anticipated because of the templates and quick photo upload. The books arrived this week, less than 2 weeks after I ordered them, and they look awesome! The printing quality is topnotch. The pictures look great and I can’t wait to surprise my friends with the books.

I’m so happy! I wanted to get a couple photobooks printed from my last vacation I went on and was having trouble finding a solution that was easy to use. After a painful experience with a website that was slow and tedious, I was recommended U Build a Book through a friend and decided to try it out. First off they have their own photobook software you download and use on your computer, so you don’t need to go through a super slow web browser tool that crashes every time you add a photo. From the different templates they provide I picked out a Lay-flat design good for coffee table viewing with friends and went to work. Very easy to compile photos and each page was fully customizable with borders, frames and different backgrounds based on my theme I selected. This was a cakewalk compared to the first company I chose. What surprised me most was the quality of the full-bleed pages I mixed in with the rest of the book. They printed straight and exactly as they looked in the software. Needless to say I was impressed when the books arrived a day after they printed, nicely packaged with some goodies to boot. Their website says they print just about everything book related. Convenient cause I already have the software to make another book from my next vacation in December.
