Not worth it. Server super friendly. Food was okay but very small portioned. 3 pieces of beef medallion cost $ 22!!! My kids had coconut chicken. 5 tiny pieces for $ 10! Really?! Won’t be back again. Only came here cuz Harvest was 20 minutes wait and our toddler can’t wait.

Waiter tips over ½ filled wine glass, picks it up with ¼ wine still in glass. Okay quick move, but ¼ of wine was on the table and he righted the glass with his finger entirely within the glass. Cleaned up the wine, but no offer for exchanging and replenishing the glass. The four of us looked at each other with astonishment. The waiter was obviously not fully present that night, but the chef/manager/owner(?) was there and was not aware what was going on in the restaurant. Someone should have stepped in to rescue the diners from this waiter, who was not a waiter, but apparently given that responsibility. Several other incidents with the waiter made it obvious that he was not fully present. The food was okay, but portion size was extremely small. Salmon was 4 – 5 oz before seeing the pan and was overcooked. I like the feel of the restaurant, open kitchen, the other staff seemed very comfortable with what they were doing — it was a very nice atmosphere. I can’t though, get past the«waiter», he didn’t seem to know what was going on and especially why someone else didn’t step in to make a change. Update: The review was for a visit in mid January 2013. Everything else is unfortunately accurate.

Awesome little place. Food is great, wine is great, atmosphere is very nice… She’s started having live music most Saturday evenings which is a treat for Camas.

My wife and I went to K’syrah this past weekend. It was an up and down experience. We ordered the coconut chicken as an appetizer for $ 10. We were brought 5 small pieces of chicken the size of a quarter. I love small bite appetizers which have great blasts of flavor. These were basic with no flavor or value of paying $ 10. For my main meal I ordered the steak medallion. My wife and I really liked the open kitchen concept and watching the cook in action. Unfortunately, we noticed they overcooked my steak. Not a big deal to me, no one is perfect. The chef and a cook helper got in a small argument. Took out another piece of steak and threw it on the George Foreman grill sitting on the counter. To me, I don’t pay $ 20 for a steak that is cooked on a George Foreman. The steak ended up being flavorless and dry. The side mashed potatoes and beans were great. My wife ordered the Seafood Linguini. The flavors were awesome! Great job on the pasta! The atmosphere and open kitchen setting is wonderful, but I don’t think that we’ll be back. We had high hopes K’sarah with all the other reviews on this website. We are new to the area and love to support local business, maybe in the future we’ll try it again.

Another perfect evening, thanks to Kelly and the incredible staff at K’syrah. The individual attention and amazing flair Kelly displays in the kitchen make you feel like an honored guest in her home rather than some shmoe off the street. Thank you Kelly, your business makes me proud to call Camas home!

I found out about K syrah on Unilocal,it had great reviews. I went with my teenage son on my birthday. They have a live jazz band that was very good. We both had the samon and we were happy with how it was prepared and how it tasted. They comped me a free desert for my birthday. We had a great relaxing time and will be back for sure.

Had our first meal at K’Syrah earlier today. I can add little to the praises mentioned on the posts above. Great place. Enjoy your meal! And, oh yeah, goin’ back tomorrow.

Ok Unilocalers. I have grown up in this little town and have come back to visit to find a BEAUTIFUL place I can enjoy up scale dining. Decently priced drinks. Amazing wine. And incredible food. Best part its in the cute downtown Camas area. The definition of romantic. This quaint yet classy location give you Portland quality food and drinks without having to cross the bridge. This is the only place I will go out to when I come home now. An ideal date night! Catch a movie at the historical Liberty theatre and wind up here. U will be pleasantly surprised and fully satisfies. This place gets me highest recommendation for all of Camas or Vancouver Washington. Best in town!

Love eating here. I trust that everything put into their food is wholesome and pure. The flavors in the food are wonderful and each time I ask to try a new wine with my meal, the staff is very serious in providing a great experience for me. I highly recommend their special wine dinners and the catering they provide. For lunch the quiche is always sensational and the hungarian mushroom soup… wow. For dinner, I always throw caution to the wind and try the special and have never been disappointed! It’s not as far to Camas from Vancouver as it is to Portland and I think people forget about Camas.

Strawberry almond salad and chicken potato asparagus salads are amazing! Perfect amount of toppings and dressing with DEEEElicious bread. Went back a couple of weeks later and had the quiche and enchiladas. The enchiladas are to DIE for! Great service adorable atmosphere and there is outdoor dining. Great selections of wines. See you again soon!

My son and I came here for a mother-son lunch one afternoon. It was freshly prepared, flavorful and nicely done. He had the trio salad(at 10 yo he loved it) and I had the chicken salad sandwich with a spinach salad. The bread was a bit dry for me — but I am über picky about bread for sandwiches — I ended up saving the carbs and just eating the insides. The salads were all excellent and my son especially loved his pasta salad. Not fast food and not a ton of tables so grab one and enjoy yourself and then nab a bottle of wine for later, or have them open one and take the rest home for later. Side note, I heard they have super yummy soups too!

My wife happily received a gift card to this shop for her birthday, so we stopped by to pick up a couple of bottles of wine. She had exactly what she wanted in mind and explained clearly to the staff what she was looking for, but one staff member, a particularly craggy, pretentious old hag, chose to argue with us and the rest of the staff and insist that this particular wine had never been carried there, despite the fact that my wife had bought this wine here previously and everyone else in the store knew exactly what we were talking about. I even punched up an image of the wine bottle on my phone to show them, and she still continued to argue, as though she were completely put off by the inconvenience of actually having to assist a customer. The other lady there, who was as delightful as the witch was sour, placed an order for my wife and promised that it would arrive the following week. Sadly, however, it didn’t and when my wife called to inquire, she was informed that it would be another week but to expect a call. Of course, another week passed without a call and so my wife stopped by to see what was going on. To her chagrin, the store was being staffed this day by the hag, who curtly told my wife that the wine wasn’t delivered and that there was nothing that she could do about it. She then pointed to a different wine and told my wife to try that instead. At this point my poor wife gave up and left instead of continuing to beat a dead horse. She is sadly so disgusted with K’Syrah and the troll who works there that she has not only decided never to return, but is going to give away her gift card to someone else and let that person deal with the frustration of trying to purchase anything from them. In a town such as Camas, where shops continually close because of lack of business, one would think that a business would be inclined to do all that they can to please the few customers they do get and inspire loyalty and repeat business. K’Syrah, however, seems to prefer hiring black-hearted dinosaurs who treat customers with contempt and annoyance and turn shopping into a trial. Sadly, after these repeatedly miserable experiences we will not be returning to K’Syrah and will instead be making our wine purchases at Trader Joe’s. We really do try to support small, local businesses but when we are treated so poorly as this, it becomes a fool’s errand and not at all worth our time. Good luck K’Syrah. Hopefully you either fire this evil old witch or some girl from Kansas lands a house on her, otherwise you likely won’t remain in business much longer.

Nicely decorated place, warm and dark with an excellent wine collection and top-chef worthy food. It looks to me like small plates are the only thing on the menu, but they serve dinner too. The cedar plank salmon is absolutely delicious!

Forgive me fellow Unilocalers, for I have Zinned. I have been frequenting this wonderful Bistro and Wine Shop for several years now and I have never taken the time to sing it’s praises in a review. For pentence, I shall open a bottle of mediocre wine, drink a glass of liquid inspiration and finish this long overdue review. K’Syrah is my favorite place to go for wine, gifts AND amazing food. I buy my wine from this shop because I always get great suggestions and recommendations on wines at every price point. If I am feeling cheap or budget conscious, Kelly will help me pick out the best«value» wines that even the pickiest connesouers would enjoy. If I want to purchase a special gift or splurge and endulge in the best friend money can buy, Kelly never disappoints with perfect selections. Besides wines and wine themed gifts, the food is exquisite. Kelly is a brilliant chef. Her food is always perfect. Gourmet, yet homey. Wine tasting /pairings and 3 course dinners are always on Friday nights. Lunch is throughout the week. The food is always fresh, healthy and deeply satisfying.

While pondering an appropriate thank you gift for a client it occurred to me that wine would be just the thing. In Camas that means K Syrah. Admittedly I’m a vino neophyte but fortunately for me(and my clients) Kelly was able to provide me with an excellent selection(I’m told). While there I was enticed by the aroma of fresh enchiladas beckoning me to stay for lunch. Succumbing to the temptation, I stayed for lunch; a meal that was all it had promised to be. Fresh ingredients, prepared just moments before my arrival, and oh so tasty. The atmosphere was pleasant and clean with a charming ambiance. Grab lunch and a bottle of wine, or the other way around. K Syrah will now be a regular stop on my lunch tour.
