I used to love this place but it has become so inconsistent. Today was the worst. The fish in our rolls tasted old and fishy. To the point I had to spit out my roll. Hope we don’t get sick because my stomach feels like I may. I will not be returning.

I was not all that impressed, and I’m wondering why all the really good reviews. First let me start off with the good stuff — the staff was really, really nice and very helpful, even though they were pretty busy! We really appreciated the effort! Now, the not-so-good: The Food. Let me be clear, it wasn’t «bad», but I tried many different things, as we had a large group of people and nothing stood out as delicious. The ramen was bland, and watery, noodles a mass of mush. The sushi was overall bland and flavorless, except for the nori, which overpowered any possibility of other flavor. The fried Veggie gyoza was pretty oily, and the salads were drowning in strong ginger dressing. Overall, very underwhelmed with the experience. Hoping to find a better place.

At this point, I’ve been to Mio probably 25 times. Always delicious and staff is perfect. Mio has been introduced to many of my friends and all have become repeat customers. Salmon lover and the sashimi and nigiri taste like butter(which to me is good) every time. Rolls all rock. Go here if you like sushi…

This is the best sushi restaurant in the Vancouver Camas area we have found. The staff is always friendly and remembers us when we come in. We’ve never had anything here we didn’t like! The best part is it’s an actual sushi bar. Not premade revolving sushi like every other sushi place we have walked into around here. We really love all the mountain themed rolls! The tuna tataki is delicious. It is definitely our go to sushi place!

Good sushi, good service and great mango tea! Only down side is that it’s a bit small. not too good for parties larger than 4.

Really good service and sushi! We ordered a bunch of random stuff and the bill came out to be almost $ 100! It’s mostly my fault, but be careful on what you order… everything is so good. We came in at 2:00 and they have an afternoon break from 2:30 — 5:00PM. They let someone in at 3:00, but after that they stopped letting people in.

Bottom Line: good non-traditional specialty sushi rolls at a reasonable cost. Great Happy Hour menu and value. I have to admit that when it comes to sushi, I prefer traditional Japanese restaurants which specialize in nigiri and sashimi. Mio Sushi is a restaurant chain which uses the economies of scale to produce a consistent product at a low cost. Their focus is more on specialty rolls, less on nigiri. We ate there for happy hour and ordered the tempura, chicken yakitori, 2 of the seaweed salads, California roll, spicy tuna roll and hamachi sashimi. The tempura and yakitori were well executed, I would rate them 4⁄5. The seaweed salads were also good, 4⁄5. I love seaweed. The rolls were OK. The rice is mushier than traditional sushi rice. Probably intentional because it works better for specialty rolls where the rice is on the outside(reverse rolled). It gives the roll a softer, mushier consistency which is OK but I don’t prefer. The spicy tuna roll was too spicy for my taste. I like spicy food but also want to be able to taste the tuna. They were both good rolls but not great, 3−4÷5. The hamachi sashimi tasted like it was frozen and was non-traditionally cut. I fish for tuna and yellowtail and cut my own sashimi so my expectations are high. Frozen fresh thawed is better than fresh too old but the texture is different than fresh. I would rate the hamachi sashimi 3⁄5. The service was great and the wait was not long. The restaurant is very clean. The décor is what many chain restaurants use which is unfortunate. Promotional pictures of their food. Mio Sushi goes another step with a wide screen monitor with a Mio Sushi infomercial. It unfortunately gives it more of a «fast food» feel than a real restaurant. We will eat here again but still in search of a traditional sushi bar in the PDX area. All that said, I have no reservations recommending because the value is very good and the service is great. Really nice people. Check it out.

Good sushi, decent selection of dishes. Got 6 sushi dishes between us and there wasn’t one we didn’t like. Place is a little small, better for groups of 2 – 4 and not a ton of seating, maybe enough for 20 – 30 patrons tops.

Food is pretty good, service is slower than a snail. Waited for an hour and 15 minutes for 4 rolls. With only 1 sushi chief on a Friday night doesn’t work.

Food tasted really good, I love it, we ordered couple rolls and soups everything was good. Not big place but looks nice, waitress was nice but not professional forget about spoons and chopsticks and one more thing there are no lights in bathroom.

Ate there last night and had such rude service by the gentleman server(owner?) who made us feel rushed and was very aggressive. Ordered the agedashi tofu on my child’s plate and it came with a unappealing plain fried tofu with no sauce. When asked the server about the sauce he told me to use«my» tempura sauce and pour it on my child’s tofu. What da? The sushi was ok, nothing to rave about. Won’t be returning there again… service sucked and food was just ok.

I am a sushi lover. This was great Sushi. Loved the layout of the restaurant and the vibe that it has. People are very friendly and it’s nice to see so many people in there for the lunch hour. Went with my colleagues and the consensus is that we will be back regularly. Love that you have the menu and the pictures that go along with it. Sometimes you just what to see the picture ok? It’s just easier and I don’t have to actually make a decision and read everything. So thank you Mio. Thank you very much.

Yum, I love Mio Sushi! I’ve been to the Salmon Creek location and this one is equally as good. My husband and I are very picky about sushi after having the best of the best back in San Francisco. We usually judge a place by it’s miso soup, and Mio’s is spot on. My husband thought they could include just a bit more seaweed and tofu cubes, but ultimately I was satisfied(I guess I ate them all). The rolls were all fantastic. Unfortunately I don’t remember the names of all of the ones we had, but I think this is the sort of place where everything is good. We especially love salmon sushi that is topped with a lemon sliver(which they have). We will most definitely be back!

Affordable, good options for rolls, sides and apps. You probably won’t walk away saying it was the best ever, but it is a solid choice when nearby and lacking the desire to travel. Not a conveyor which helps a lot!!! Try the Heart Attack if you like it hot!

Always delicious! I go here for lunch often and Jun always remembers my name and my order. I appreciate that. My favorite is the Mt. Fuji roll, its melt in your mouth amazing. It has baked salmon on top and it’s so yummy. Their nigiri is good too. I have had their sweet salmon and their tuna. YUM! The miso is good as well. The ramen is ok, not the best but ok if you are craving soup. Their bento boxed are decent too. Try: Mt. Fuji roll Mt. Rainer roll Double crunch roll Mio roll Sweet salmon nigiri

Surprise surprise ! So as we are pretty regular at this place but not as regular as my Tuesday moi sushi at killingsworth and greely, which has never let me down, they even know my order as I walk in. But tonight it was inexcusable, to completely screw up and then have no remorse over completely screwing up my Friday night out. When you order appetizers they are the first items out then the sushi then the main course. Right? Well instead the main course with no condiments and forget the appetizers and completely forgot the sushi but did not forget to have on the ticket. And what did they have to say? Oh we took the sushi off the ticket ! My wife said to me we will never go back but I’m torn because I love my Japanese food and it’s pretty slim picking in Clark county.

My man and I have never been treated so poorly at a restaurant. To begin with I will state that we have been here several times and enjoyed each visit up until this evening. We were greeted as always with smiles and then it went down hill. We requested to be sat outside, but were ignored for great leaps of time. Kimberly, Our server, Never asked if we wanted anything to drink and were automatically brought water. Finally when ordering our food she didn’t upsell or suggest a single item. Eventually a food runner brought out a plate and in a heavy accent stated what she had brought, but we couldn’t understand her. When we asked Kimberly(who finally filled our waters 10 minutes later) what we just ate, she said she didn’t know, and stated she couldn’t even remember what we had ordered. After 20 minutes the rest of the food came, when we only ordered 4 items and their store was less than 40% filled. Our food was average at best, however their Volcano plate(Which we order every time) tasted like the brown sauce was over scorched, and the presentation was very sloppy throughout. We made it through 2 of 8 pieces and after discussing it we decided to send it back and complain, which we never do at restaurants, Having worked in the industry most of my career I understand things happen and usually let it go. However our server seemed confused, unapologetic and rushed inside. Then out comes the manager/Shift leader. Who immediately puts her hands onto the table, leans over us in a aggressive, unprofessional manor. Then proceeds to lecture us that we are mistaken and the plate was fine and we just didn’t like the taste. Also that we have to notify them of the distaste immediately so that they can satisfy our stay. She finally stated she would remove the Volcano plate but was very condescending about it. Her entire demeanor was very dismissive and I have never been so disrespected. Had our server checked on us at some point in the meal we would’ve sent it back then. Poor service, Mediocre food, Unprofessional staff. Needless to say we will not return and will not be recommending to friends and family anymore.

Yaaa, I think I’m ruined for all other sushi places in this area. they were so nice when I went to do a to go order. there’s a special single seat table near the front especially for ordering to go. it took a total of 5 minutes to get my food(freshly made). granted, they weren’t very busy but you can tell they care about quality and customer care. Also, it was delicious. The rice was seasoned well, and the Texas roll I ordered was rolled beautifully– I struggle with chopsticks and still didn’t manage to mangle them while trying to eat!

I couldn’t settle on a place to eat, and since I’m new to town I decided to go for a drive and stop wherever looked good. I saw the sign for a sushi place and stopped in. This is a nice little sushi bar with a huge selection! I would recommend taking a look at the menu before you go. I was handed a regular menu and a laminated sheet with the specials and two more laminated sheets for ordering sushi on. The best part was that the descriptions of the rolls were right on the ordering sheet with pictures! I love when there are pics of the rolls! I had an orange blossom sake drink that was really yummy and the sushi came out quick and it was really delicious. I would have given a perfect rating, but the one roll I ordered had baked salmon on top and it came out to my table so fast that the first bite burned the roof of my mouth! That roll was amazing even with a blister forming. Just note that if you order a warm roll they will get it out to you really fast even if they are fairly busy. I will definitely be going back to try more items on the menu and plan to bring some friends next time!
