We desperately want to like this place. Good food at fairly reasonable prices. The beer selction is severly lacking. However the atmosphere is quite plesant and even more so when you can actually get a descent bar tender. Unfortunately more often than not, we get a disconnected, inattentive bar tender who cant even mix a martini let alone anything else. They roll their eyes at you and put on a general show of snobbery. Several times we were ignored all together. Guess hospitality doesnt apply to Indiana. On more than one occasion we witnessed them massivly over serving an older gentleman who was slobbering drunk and making a fool of himself. My guess is to milk him for tips. The place is crazy over crowded for what you get there and I’m not sure why they dont put more seating in. You’re better of going down the street to Coles. Better food and a friendly bartender.

One of the best small town restaurants I’ve ever been to! Great service! We ordered four entrees and each one was incredible, large portions, served hot, and delicious! This will be a regular stop when we’re in the area!

This is our single favorite restaurant and puts all other American and pub-style restaurants to absolute shame(like Applebee’s, Chili’s, Friday’s, Texas Roadhouse, and the like). I love supporting the small-town owners and we are so lucky to have such excellent food right here near Centerville. Tons of TVs, superb atmosphere, always nice and speedy service, and of course, the best traditional American food. I love everything on the menu and we have never had a bad meal there in like 20+ trips. LOVEIT!

No 9 Bar and Grill was amazing I was a first time customer from Arkansas going there with my Girlfriend and her family who is originally from Indiana And we were visiting her Grandparents who still live in Indiana so me and all her family went to No 9 Bar and Grill and they had liked it before when they lived in Indiana and I did too. I had my first ever friend pork tenderloin sandwich with fries a recommendation from My Girlfriend’s father and it was so amazing !! He really pointed towards the best thing on the menu it was so great and I really loved the atmosphere and just everything about it definitely a amazing place to see

Cozy atmosphere, good food and reasonable prices. Sirloin was a good cut of meat, and properly cooked. Smoked pork chop was everything I love about a smoked chop. Full bar available.

Service is prompt. Food is excellent and well priced! I’ve had their regular cheeseburger, onion straws, and I’ve tried the Cajun Shrimp Pasta. Nice atmosphere. It’s usually busy on the weekends, however the wait isn’t usually ore than 40 minutes.

Those who rant and rave about how wonderful this place is Must not get out much. This place is ok for a small town. Even though they charge big city prices.

I had the salmon with dill sauce which was ok. Fried haddock was fine /ordered by my wife. All portions were very generous and reasonably priced I enjoyed the sides of broccoli with cheese sprinkled on it sweet potato, and salad which was served quickly but especially the onion straws.

Started with fried pickles and onion straws. Best pickles ever. Wr had the No. 9 and classic cheese. Very large portions. We couldn’t eat it all. Enjoyed the environment. We will be back.

I have never had an unsatisfactory experience at No. 9 Grill! The food is delicious and always how I order it. The portions are large and the cost is resonable. The wait staff is always pleasant and accommodating. I have met the chef and sous chef and they are very dedicated to making the food the best quality it can be. I love this place!

My first visit to No.9 Grill. This is a clean, roomy restaurant and I was quite surprised with the appetizers to choose from. We had fried pickles and potato skins for starters. A halibut fish sandwich with cheese and tarter. Great Mac and Cheese! Raspberry Tea was fresh. Could not find anything wrong. The waitress checked on us several times. This is worth the drive if you’re passing by on I-70, go south on route 1 to Cambridge City. Highly recommended.

The No.9 grill just continues to improve. We have visited this establishment once a week, on average, and it gets better and better. Lunch specials are not advertised so you have to ask what it is for the day. What’s special about the special is its typically an item that’s not on the menu. Dinner has always been good. I recommend their sirloin steak or salmon dinner. Yum yum! Great food, great prices, great atmosphere… not to mention great bartenders! This local highly recommends the No.9 grill in Cambridge City, Indiana.

Very good. Hubby had the Philly and it was fresh and delish. I had the fish sandwich and soup, amazing! Just wish there was bread or rolls.

We drive over to Cambridge after visiting the Wayne County fair. First time. We’ll come back. The atmosphere is nice with wood and exposed brick. Not too many beers on tap, no IPA for me tonight. But the service was quick. Smoked pork chop was good. GF’s chicken strips were good. The sides are a bit institutional if you know what I mean. Mac n cheese was bland and cole slaw was swimming. Go for the onion straws. Not a huge menu, but covers the bases. Nice place for a small town.

Cute place. Food was mediocre at best. I had the salmon and had zero flavor. Steamed broccoli was mush and has been steamed and reheated in the microwave. Hubby had burger. Was a frozen type patty vs a nice fresh patty. Waitress never asked us «how the food was«. I have a gluten allergy and she had no clue what gluten was.

Other than the hostess playing with her hair the entire time and it is long. Ugh. And why is it sometimes you get bread and other times you don’t. Hmmmm

Stopped for gas on the interstate but only options were fast food. Found this place on Unilocal and definitely worth the 3 minute detour. Town is very cute, would be fun to antique shop here. Casual dress is fine. Kids had on tshirt and sweats from sports and they were fine. Staff wears jeans and Tshirts. Don’t let the sports bar notation throw you off if you have kids. It is a normal restaurant seating and no smoking. Had loaded waffle potatoes with cheddar cheese, green onions, bacon and sour cream. Just as good as the ones at home on Texas! Son had Philly cheese steak sandwich. Said it was really good. Hubbie ordered breaded tenderloin sandwich, daughter and I split one. You have to eat half the meat before you can even begin the sandwich portion, it is that big! All of us are stuffed and none of us finished our meals. Definitely would stop here again. Very satisfied!

The town is just a little bigger than the one I grew up in rural SE Ohio. Among nondescript antique shops is this really nice hometown family restaurant with brick walls and high ceilings that opened November ’12. Our party of five ordered the BBQ chicken salad, garden salad, coleslaw, haddock, potato skins, Philly steak and salmon. I kept giving haddock samples away and should have ordered more. We were very pleased with the menu, service and atmosphere. Very Impressive for small town
