Been visiting here off & on for five years. The app tells me I’ve visited b. good 55 times(and that’s not including all the times I forgot to use the thing). Service here has been spotty. Sometimes I get cordial cashiers & chefs, sometimes I don’t. I ask for fries, no bread, no chipotle purée on West Side and it gets messed up frequently. Service isn’t as consistent as the Burlington location(or when there was the Newbury St location). This Dunster location seems to have a penchant for hiring ghetto-*NON*-fabulous employees. Folks who lean on counters, stare at their phones, hit on customers, disregard dirty tables, neglect depleted toiletries.

This place is great for a quick burger. Try to go early or late for lunch as it gets quite busy. I always seem to get my order within 5 minutes, but I’ve seen people wait for 15 or more(maybe I’m just lucky). Order ahead using their app! Their burgers are standard and delicious. Nothing mind blowing but gets the job done. Also their ingredients are locally sourced and pretty fresh. The pickles are great! Skip the sweet potato fries; they are often lukewarm. Though they are oven roasted which I like. Overall this place is a great, healthy lunch. I don’t think I’d come for dinner. I look forward to trying their salads in the future.

As a burger fanatic, I always look for great value and try to find the best one of each price category. With a medium price, b. good caught my attention with its brand, centered around fresh and local ingredients. I tried two burgers there, and even the classic one not only looked fresh, it tasted fresh. This place tells you exactly where each ingredient comes from and features a special seasonal ingredient and recipe in the burger, bowl and salad menus. A great burger must not only have ingredients whose tastes are individually recognisable but a proper balance of ingredients in order to optimise the tasting experience. If you don’t know what I mean, go to b. good and they will perfectly demonstrate it. Although a bit expensive, the nice choice of extras and add-ons, such as the avocado, bacon and cheddar are perfect to customise your experience to your taste. Everything is home-made here, so I recommend getting the combo with a drink and hand-cut, nicely seasoned fries and accompany those with their homemade Mayo and ketchup. Fills up your belly with fresh ingredients and happiness!

The Harvest kale salad was surprisingly good! I didn’t expect much from this chain, but after a rant from a bGood superfan, I decided to give it a try. While seemingly a bit pricey for the food volume, this is a quick, healthy option that outperforms the similarly priced Panera Bread. I recommend asking for the dressing on the side to avoid drenched leaves.

Every b. good experience leaves my stomach nourished, heart warmed, and has some kind of added surprise. This location has probably the fastest service out of any b. good location I’ve been to and is always immaculately clean — a huge plus for any proper food establishment. I always bring out-of-town visitors to grab a bite at b. good because they’ll get local ingredients, keep their wallets happy, and exceptional customer service. We always leave b. good with laughs and that good olé’ feeling of satisfaction. While you can always count on b. good having your favorite, most crave-worthy items on menu(wholesome burgers, baked fries, grain bowls, smoothies, MILKSHAKES… the goodness without the grease), they’ll also have something you’re *not* expecting due to their seasonal add-ins. Today my grain bowl had these funkadelic(in a good way) mushrooms that were likely a fresh farm ingredient they got in and decided to add to compatible meals. I’ve never seen them before, but diggity dang… they brought that meal to an even tastier level. Whether seasonal smoothies, sides(mac-n-cheese style baked cauliflower being my absolute favorite surprise-side), or burger add-ons, b. good holds true to their mission of providing customers with healthy, local, and interesting food options. Above all, the b. good mission keeps me coming back for more. Their community engagement projects, customer service mentality(the most incredible freebies I’ve ever experienced from a food establishment), donations to community-based food projects, and momentum in leading the local food movement all make this a safe haven for the foodies and do-gooders of the Boston land. P. S. They are growing their own mint in the window/light boxes at their Cambridge location… talk about fresh!

I really love this place. They have the most amazing chocolate shakes, and if you sign up to be on their mailing list, they will occasionally send you freebies(I’ve gotten over a dozen free shakes from them over the past couple of years). I really like their philosophy of farm to table and supporting local farmers. However, that does lead to their prices being on the more expensive side — usually a burger is around $ 8 – 9 and the patty itself tends to be smaller than some of their competitors in the area like Tasty Burger and Shake Shack. They make up for it by using fresh and unusual ingredients like avocado and caramelized onions. Their salads are also good(although pricey) — I usually get the local apple and bacon quinoa salad which comes with slices of green apple, crunchy bacon pieces, kale and quinoa, and slices of avocado. Overall, B. good does a great job of building their brand and differentiating themselves from other burger joints in the area.

Bgood’s grain and veggie bowls are the best vegetarian food you can get. The spicy avocado is my favorite. A++++

Great healthy options! Love the kale quinoa bowls with avocado and grilled chicken, with just the right amount of sauce to add some pizzaz! Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a healthy and delicious but quick meal! Also the staff are really nice!

Pros: –A healthy fast reasonably priced option in Harvard Square! –A free meal if you get the app! –The grain bowls are much different than anything else you’ll get in the area and there aren’t many low cost($ 8) salads around town either. Cons: The prices are steep for some items considering the amount of food(small grain bowl is almost $ 10 and $ 2 more for meat or tofu). However, because it has healthy, locally sourced options that’s not shocking. This is not the place for you if you need large portions, and is obviously better for lunch than dinner due to the size. I wish the grain bowls would at least include the protein for $ 10.

Quick and casual eatery serving up quality, healthy, and locally-sourced food. Eager to branch out from our usual casual eateries, we stopped by B Good on the way to the airport and then another day for a quick dinner. I had their power bowl the first time, and loved all the vegetables and vegetarian protein, and especially that it was fresh and flavorful. The second time I had the spicy avocado and lime bowl, which was delightfully hot and creamy thanks to the chipotle purée and queso fresco. The service is usually pretty quick — considering they’re making everything fresh. It is a bit more expensive than other casual eateries, but if you want something healthier and tastier than normal, than it’s worth it. I consider the options pretty filling, but if you’re starving you may want a side item. Overall, a great option if your short on time but want something that tastes good and does you good.

Solid place for a bite around the square, healthier than any other burger joint but not stand-out. Among their burgers, I like the Adopted Luke — you can sub the beef with a turkey patty and add lettuce/tomatoes, which I did. Flavorful with the caramelized onions/mushrooms and not very greasy. Get the sweet potato fries, which taste very natural and have a nice crunch. The kale and quinoa bowls are also pretty good and filling.

Burgers($ 7) were solid and had a really nice flavor profile. I ordered the jalapeño slaw burger and it came slathered with some delicious black pepper sauce. However, they didn’t ask how I would like it cooked, and the patty ended up being well done. I prefer my burgers medium, but hey. I actually really enjoyed their fries($ 3). I saw other reviewers were very disappointed, but I thought they were less greasy and more natural-tasting. They had a flakey kind of crunchiness about them, almost like they were baked? They also had sweet potato fries that were a bit more expensive than the normal fries. I liked that everything tasted natural and healthy. They also have a varied assortment of lemonade(Rosemary lemonade, strawberry-berry lemonade) that I didn’t try, but I like how they are more home-grown and less conventional than other burger joints. This was essentially hipster fast food. Oh, and they grow their own mint above the windows/entrance!

I’ve been a fan of the burgers here, but had a spinach and mint smoothie for the first time today, and it was very good. Pleasant outdoor seating at this location. Even though it’s a chain burger place, the quality of the food improves the experience so much that the less-than-glamorous ambiance isn’t of concern — perhaps, even on a date.

A bougie burger place that generally delivers. I like the locally-sourced, healthy angle, and the company also works hard to recognize and reward their customers — you’ll get exclusive deals and such on your birthday and sometimes when they introduce new seasonal ingredients. In my experience, the food has always been high-quality; I’m inclined to believe the unfortunate reviews below are due to flukes. I’d say: give it a try!

I’ve had dinner here twice, the first time the Sesame Sockeye Salmon salad and then the Toasted Almond and Ginger Kale bowl with organic quinoa. I would definitely recommend the salmon salad, which smelled and tasted amazing. They did take a while to make it though, probably because the salmon was freshly grilled. I didn’t like the kale bowl as much, only because it had a pretty foreign flavor to it. It might have been the mint. The toasted almonds were really yummy though, nice and crunchy. The enoki mushrooms were pretty good too. Will be eating here more this summer since it is pretty affordable. Stay tuned for a more thorough reviews.

Here’s the thing. Their smoothies are amazing. Their salads are great but overpriced. Everything else ranges from mediocre to appalling. Today I got q mediocre veggie burger. Included in the veggie burger was a piece of plastic … And I got sweet potato fries which tasted like someone microwaved old frozen fries. They were raw and soggy. I threw them all away immediately. What a waste of money. I tried the regular fries last week and they were equally horrifically — I thought it must be a fluke because how could they really sell these? But nay. They do. Does anyone actually like soggy cold«fries»?!

2.75 stars I stopped in once for a caesar salad with grilled chicken & it was good enough to justify a second visit. This time I ordered their Southwestern Chicken salad, & had I tried this first, I wouldn’t have given them a second look. Overcooked, tough chicken & too much of one ingredient(black beans) & not enough of another(tomatoes.) And, I didn’t know the toasted corn would be so tough. With one item barely passing & another failing to impress, if b. Good were a student, he’d be getting a D on his report card.

Food: 4 Stars Service: 3 Stars Great lunch spot with locally sourced ingredients to make as healthy a burger as possible. I find it really cool that they have posters up showing which farms they get their ingredients from! They have a decent selection of burgers, sandwiches and sides. It’s a nice place to grab a quick lunch and they do have patio seating when the weather is nice. I find the lines can sometimes take a while to get through and the only complaint I have is that the burgers are a little on the small side.

As an outsider, Harvard Square can be overwhelming. There’s an endless number of local restaurants that aren’t familiar names to outsiders. Rather than scroll through the hundreds of listings on Unilocal I stopped and talked to a few Harvard students, asking them where they’d go for a normal priced, simple meal in the area. One of them pointed us to B. Good, explaining that they are a local company who gets most of their food from local farmers, rather than serving frozen foods like many chains do. We took the advice and weren’t disappointed. The burger I ordered and the chicken sandwich my dad had tasted much better than anything a national chain could produce. Both tasted fresh, like they were just cooked when ordered and came packed with fresh toppings, which goes a long way. The fries(regular and sweet potato) were good, too. The food here is better than average, comes out quick and is affordable.

Favorite lunch spot of mine! I love the adopted Luke burger best but their kale+quinoa salads are hearty and healthy. You can choose either a burger, turkey, or veggie patty or grilled chicken followed by a style. Cousin Oliver is up there on my favorites as is the chipotle one if I’m in the mood for a bit of spice. They lose a star because their fries are sub par and the waiting time can be really too long. But there’s a line for a reason! This place caters to everyone! Plus, there are other sides apart from fries. Namely steamed veggies which I highly recommend! They have a lovely selection of drinks. Their milkshakes taste of childhood(but could stand to be a wee bit thicker!) plus they have a variety of Maine root sodas. Root beers, birch beers, the works! There are some seasonal and permanent smoothies plus their lemonade and tea varieties. My favorite has to be the rosemary lemonade but the beet ginger lemonade is tasty too! It’s a great place with a surprising amount of variety in food options with a local spin. One of my favorite local Boston chains and I’m certainly happy they’re in Harvard Square!
