I got hooked on their coffee when I was at smuggs for the week. Now I’m completely addicted! By far one of the best coffees that I have ever had. Thankfully it’s available mail order

For such a small state, Vermont certainly has its fair share of independent coffee roasters. And so far, in my book, this is the best of the best. Carefully sourced and expertly roasted in small batches, Brown and Jenkins extracts incredible flavor and punch from their beans. If you’re lucky, you’ll happen to stop in when they’re roasting and be treated to aromas you won’t forget any time soon. In addition to retail space for coffee, there’s also a sit-down café here. Small coffee is $ 1. Large coffee is $ 2. Iced-coffee is $ 1.50. Their iced-coffee is absolutely the best anywhere — they freeze a few ounces of coffee at the bottom of the cup, thereby eliminating the need for ice cubes. In addition to getting more coffee for your money, you also get a more a delicious brew with no unwanted ice melt dilution. And while I’m not normally a fan of flavored coffees, Brown & Jenkins gets them just right. They’re subtle, taste natural and cleverly complement the roast bean flavor rather than overpowering it. This is in stark contrast to some other roasters from the Green Mountain State, whose flavoreds often leave you feeling like you just chugged a cup of chemical syrup. Oh, and did I mention they also have maple-glazed donuts? If you happen to be in the area and feel like a cup of joe, you really must stop in to see what all the fuss is about.

Absolutely the best coffee around. You won’t want GMC after any of their flavors. Very nice staff and they will grind to your specifications. Blog Grog is my personal favorite.

We stopped here for some coffee and so glad we did. The selection of coffees are unreal. Try the Black Ice if you like really dark roasts. Great coffee and great prices.

Brown & Jenkins Trading Company is a must stop if you are in the area. A $ 1 for a cup of quality coffee?! You can’t beat the price! The staff is very friendly and explained their roasting process and answered all of our questions about their coffee and the local area. They have a huge selection of coffee and the ones we sampled were amazing(the light and medium roast). Highly recommend!

We stumbled upon B&J on a scenic road trip what a find! Where else can you get one of the best cups of coffee for $ 1?The owner is expert on coffee and can tell you about all the beans in the store, the roasting process, the blends, etc. If you’re interested, she will willingly provide tips on local attractions too to make your road trip special. Don’t forget to try the baked goods too. They’re all from local bakers. Yummy!

How is it that I live 10 minutes down the road and have never stopped in here before? Made the stop recently based on all the chatter I had seen on Facebook and was quite glad I did — their iced coconut rum flavored coffee is insane! Sure beats the stuff at the gas station! I also brought home a pound of whole bean coffee, which has been a hit as well. Prices are very reasonable for coffee products and beans and the woman working the counter was awesomely friendly. My one suggestion is that the setup for iced coffee is a little confusing — if it was in a fridge by the door, ice was in the freezer part. Then I have to go to a table on the other side of the room for sugar and cream. Too many steps when all I want is coffee — I suggest moving the fridge to help simplify the process. Didn’t see liquid sugar but that would be a bonus as well! Very minor gripe for a great business — glad to have you around!

They roast it in the building and ship it all over the country. The coffeeshop inside is really as a service to the locals. It’s serve-yourself and they trust you to just come in, drop money in the jar($ 1 per cup as I recall), and go or sit as your heart desires. They also have wi-fi, which is spotty but it’s better than messing around with dialup. The service is great, always happy to make small-talk and tell you about the different roasts they sell in the warehouse-like area beside sitting area. Their roasts are delicious too. I got some after spending so much time there using their wi-fi a year ago.

Very friendly service in a historic wood building overlooking the pretty valley and near grazing cows. Didn’t try coffee as I already some-so I just grabbed a cold drink.
