I work across the street from this Dunkin Donuts. I’m here at least 2 or 3 times a day to get coffee. Location. it can’t be beat. On Cambridge Street, almost in the heart of Inman Square. And its the only Dunkin Donuts around(well compared to other areas that have 2,3,4,5DD’s in 2 block radius!). Its also inside a Shell station so I can get my coffee, a donut, and some Combo’s all in one trip. Whoever thought of putting a Dunks inside this Shell was a genius. But because of it’s location and being the only one for several blocks, AND that Boston runs on Dunkin. it’s often busy and the line for Dunks alone stretch around the aisles of the store. But the staff do a fine job of keeping the line moving when it’s busy. The staff are great. If you’re a regular at a Dunkin Donuts, you know you get treated well. And this place is no excuse. All the daytime/weekday staff know me by face and my order. Its great. Not only to just me, because I’m a regular, but to all the other patrons. As far as the food. its standard Dunkins fare. Coffee.Donuts.Bagels.Sandwiches… I’ve had it all and its always good(as good as Dunks can get). I do, however find. as I do with all Dunks, that the donuts tend to get a little hard by middle of the afternoon(can’t DD do more than 2 change-overs a day?). BUT I’m typically there for coffee only, and its typical DD Coffee made the way I like it. I’m sure I’ll be back… at least twice tomorrow!

OK, so this is the closest dunkin donuts to my house, and it also just happens to be inside a gas station with a substantial mini-mart and an ATM. PS. They have free air for your tires, and since my car has an attitude problem, and can’t retain air pressure in two tires, I am a frequent visitor. So let’s just say, that all of those annoying errands can be done in this one little convenient spot. The problems are the staff behind the counter are borderline inept and somewhat rude. Now, I do rock a faux hawk, and I also tend to wear men’s clothing… but I certainly do NOT look like a man. But somehow, I get Sir every freakin time I walk in there, until i open my mouth to talk and smile. Then I get the obligatory«oh sorry» and then they sheepishly take my order. Let’s keep in mind I go there at least 4 times a week for the last year. You would think that by now they would have figured out my gender. I order the same thing every time iced coffee with skim milk and no sugar, and while they mostly always get it right, whenever I am with my roommate they screw up royally. She always asks for some crazy flavor with three splenda or 2 equal, who knows… they either mess up the flavor, pretend to not know what she is asking for even though she points to it on the menu, or they put way TOOO much flavor in or no sugar, anyways, you get the point. They are also pretty damn slow. But, for some reason I go back. Perhaps I am a glutton for punishment, or perhaps I am just lazy and want to fill my gas, my tires, my caffeine and nicotine fix all in one place that is less than 2 blocks from my apt. Either way, if you can avoid this dunks, do it.
