Hey it’s good in a pinch if you need something convenient to campus.

My last few trips into this DD haven’t been as great as the ones previously. In fact, at one point the girl put in my bagel incorrectly(I wanted the light bagel, not the regular :(), thereby making me late for work. So while it’s a servicable place to get breakfast and coffee, it’s not my favorite DD.

I stood in line for 30 minutes 2PM the other day. Apparently there was a large group of hungry construction workers ahead of me in line, which is annoying, but not DD’s fault. Still, there were only 2 people working and I am an impatient person. I normally wouldn’t have waited, but there is a lack of affordable food in the Kendall area, and I was having a serious bagel jones. Yay for multigrain bagels BTW. DD’s is stepping it up. Although the pizzas are weird. Minus two stars for the wait. Plus one star for the SUPERNICE employee who apologized profusely for the wait. Damn, I forgot I was in Boston there for a minute! Stop confusing me!

A decent Dunkin, the staff is friendly and the coffee is up to snuff. OK in my book.

I’m going to go against my past policy of not reviewing giant conglomorate chains that span the country and the world to review this location. That’s how much love I have for it. Each morning there is a line out the door for coffee — no shock there, this is Boston, it’s 9:00 am, and it’s a Dunkin’ Donuts. Fine. I get it. The thing that makes this Dunkin’ so special is it’s ability to MOVE the line quickly and efficiently, with minimal screw-ups on orders. Thanks, guys, for not making me wait 80 years for a cup of liquid energy. My boss sends her regards as well. Also great is the much looked over Baskin Robbins portion. Ice cream and coffee!!! Hiyo Heaven! Seriously, I love Baskin Robbins for one thing and one thing only — their rainbow sherbet. Orange, raspberry, and pineapple swirls of sherbet-y goodness are flecked with ice chips to ensure the sherbet is kept less milky and more fruity. Get a scoop on a sugar cone(way better than it sounds)… or do what I do and take away a pre-packed quart for your office. Just make sure you leave a little note with it in the communal freezer letting your co-workers know you’ll kill them if they so much as sniff your frozen heaven.
