Good fresh bagel and good hot coffee. Will definitely return. Service a little dry but not offensive.

When I’m heading towards the green line or Kendall from Cambridge St and want some quick breakfast, I stop by this shop. I usually get the Tuna Melt on an everything bagel. It comes with tuna, tomato, cheese, and avocado, and it’s just delicious! After I eat the first half, I’m just so glad that there’s a second half! The service is pretty fast too, and there is ample seating since the place is pretty large and very few people eat in.

The ‘everything bagel’ + espresso + fresh orange juice was the perfect way to start the day.

I am in love with this place! Why haven’t I gone here for lunch the past two years that I’ve been working at the mall?! It is so much better than eating food court food all the time. The first time I came here I tried the Cleveland Circle bagel. I don’t think they have it anymore. From what I remembered, they had egg, avocado, tomatoes, and cream cheese. It was perfect! They should definitely bring it back if they took it off. As of right now, I am OBSESSED with their smoked salmon bagels! They give you a nice thick layer of cream cheese complemented with a nice thick layer of lox. I could not have asked for a better sandwich. This is my go-to spot when I have 30 minutes to spare before work. They also have a lot of seating available. From tables to couches, you will always feel comfortable. They have outlets too so it makes for a perfect study place(Panera gets a bit too loud). There is a lot of window seatings, which I personally love. I highly recommend this spot for a quick lunch!

I come to this Finagle for a post-dentist coffee and bagel every six months. It’s nothing special, just your typical bagel chain with decent pastries, OK breakfast sandwiches and terrible coffee. The staff is pretty indifferent, and the service tends to be pretty average. One of my breakfast chain pet peeves is when you order a bagel toasted with cream cheese/jam/peanut butter and all the food servers do is give you packets after toasting your bagel. Really? You can’t take the extra 20 seconds and actually MAKE it? Fine, I’ll assemble YOUR food myself. Finagle is conveniently located to both Lechmere and my dentist, so I’ll be back. If you have better, more personable options in your own neighborhood, I encourage you to check those out instead!

I’ve gotten a couple different types of bagel sandwiches here for lunch and holy crap, the people that work here have no idea how to create a functioning sandwich. Hands down the sloppiest looking things you’ll ever see, and not in a good way. The cheese melts completely out of the sandwich, they overdo it on the dressing so that the bagel gets soggy and mushy, and barely toast the bread. Props for using cool ingredients but they really need to hire someone who can make a sandwich that doesn’t end up splattered all over the paper wrapping.

There are not a lot of options right here in this area to compete when it comes to breakfast. I prefer The Sweet Touch just up the street but have had a couple of meetings and meals here. It’s right across the street from the Lechmere T stop and gets a lot of foot traffic as a result.(The nearby Cambridgeside Galleria Mall attracts a vast number of people who trek over on the ever screeching Green Line.) It’s usually clean, not always, totally lacking in atmosphere, and not vegan friendly, but if you crave carbs and need a little pick me up before shopping at the mall, this place is going to embrace you, feed you and let you go in a hasty, impersonal manner. I’m actually glad it is there. It’s better than having another nail salon which seem to be really popular on Cambridge Street. I don’t do nails so much, but I do bagels.

I had low expectations going in because Finagle-a-Bagel has never REALLY impressed me. I have Bagel World near me so that fulfills any emergency carb overload I may need. But this place is a couple blocks away from my office, and we thought it’d be worth a walk over for lunch. I will say the setup and the service was a pleasant surprise, the pastries looked fresh, coffee looked good. The sandwich bar had a lot of options. I got a pretty good turkey sandwich with cranberry spread on thick wheat bread. I only gave it 3 stars because the turkey sandwich was good, but nothing crazy spectacular and I also feel like it’s just a little overpriced. If I’m going to spend $ 7 – 8 on a turkey sandwich it needs to bring a lot more to the table. Still an overall good experience though!

Nevet thought id be giving 5 stars to a chain bagel shop but this store… let me just tell you l. 1-service. Fast and really nice. 2-Place. Super clean. 3-Coffee. Actually really great. 4– Bagel. Light and airy not a heavy brick that sits in your gut untik lunch. 5– Cream cheese. Light cream cheese with chives!!! Go here if you’re near lechmere.

Stopped in again the other day. I tried the new maple Berkshire sandwich. I was a bit wary but it was delicious. I recommend the maple spread. My friend got the Phoenix Press — no complaints. Hazelnut iced coffee always manages to hit the spot. Nice prices and a really great place to sit and just relax.

Delicious bagel selection! If you don’t live near a non-chain bakery like Kupel’s, Finagle is the place to go!

Awesome french vanilla iced coffee. I believe it is a better price/quality than Starbucks and Dunkin. The other items are fairly pricey though.

Stopped here for breakfast/lunch with a group before heading to Fenway. So glad we went to Finagle instead of a Dunkin’s or something similar — Asiago bagel sandwich was great! They also had a selection or muffins and scones — I picked up a chocolate croissant for later that was excellent. Not busy at all for 11:30 on a sunday, when all the diners are packed. Wait time was a bit long. I wish Finagle existed outside Boston, since I visit so rarely!

This is a decent place for lunch if you work in the area. The food is pretty good but I have a few gripes: — They close promptly at 6 on the weekdays, which is unfortunate if you’re running late and want to grab dinner. — The set-up is a little weird. Sometimes long lines can get out of control and you can’t open the door. — They have run out of fruit on multiple occasions. — The wait time is really inconsistent — sometimes I’ll order one thing with no one in the store and it will take 15 minutes, other times I’ll order multiple things on a crowded day and it will take 5 minutes. Despite all these things, the food(and convenience) is what wins me over and keeps me coming back. They have some pretty good salads and sandwiches(I’m particularly a fan of the Sabbaba salad) and things seem to be fairly fresh. A better option than much of what the food court down the street provides.

This location makes a good ham, egg, and chesse on a bagel. Coffee is better than average for me. I really like several of the muffin flavors and they are a good size and fresh. The service is quick and it’s in a good location. $ 5 – 6 will get you a pretty good to-go breakfast here.

morning is the busy coffee time, right? so maybe have someone standing at the register — this routinely is not the case. The whole vibe of this place bums me out.

I’ve been waiting for years to see what they’d stick in this location once the building construction was complete, and while I’m not a fan of Finagle itself, the service here has been so far above what I’m used to that I can’t give any less than 4 stars. I come in here at least once a week now for an afternoon coffee break, and I’m always greeted with a smile as soon as I walk in the door. The person at the front counter has always been extremely helpful and never screws up my order(it’s only coffee and pastries, but you’d be amazed how hard that is for some people). As soon as I hand over my credit card, they make my coffee and bag my danish before the payment is even processed, and helpfully point out that the cream and sugar is located in the far back. Last but not least, the $ 1 medium coffee(this includes iced coffee!!) with any purchase is pretty much the best deal anywhere. A chocolate croissant and medium iced coffee for $ 3.14 blows ABP and DDs out of the water.

Dammit. I was really hoping to be first review on this, especially since the place opened literally across the street from my office. I guess I’ll just have to settle for the silver medal. Come to Finagle-A-Bagel while you still can, ladies and gentlemen, because it’s not going to last long. I give it 6 months. Why? It’s not because of the food. The clam chowder is better than ABP’s across the way at the Cambridgeside Galleria(according to me, anyway; FAB seems to use more clams… and more salt). It’s not because of ambience or because, the space is pleasant and sunny and convenient for those commuters who are catching a ride as Susan does from the Lechmere T stop. However, it does face some imposing obstacles, especially considering its proximity to a much larger and diverse food court just steps away. The food selection is modest compared to ABP, and the prices aren’t anything to write home about. A small soup and a bagelwich cost $ 12; they threw in a free cookie, but that doesn’t help me. FAB seems to be angling for some of the East Cambridge office lunch crowd, but it doesn’t have any kind of reasonable soup-and-half-sandwich deal. Going up against a number of established lunchtime incumbents, I just don’t see it hanging on very long without any kind of compelling and distinct advantage. Like soup flavors that I can’t make at home. Or bagel flavors that don’t duplicate ABP. I’ll probably eat lunch there 2 days a week because of how close it is to my office and because FAB is, after all, a Boston-area company. Let’s hope I’m wrong about the 6-month thing.

The location is perfect. For months, I’ve been saying a convenience store or some deli type of place needs to open up across the street from the Lechmere station. There’s really no place to just jot across to grab a coffee or a quick snack before you head on your never ending ride(it is the green line, after all) on the T. I’ve never been a fan of Finagle-A-Bagel but was still happy one was opening up(it also helps when I feel super ultra lazy and don’t even want to cross the street). And the stuff here is just the same kind of average as every other location. They’re still suffering opening growing pains and don’t have everything the menu says. But there are a couple of things that will never be solved after it’s been around a few weeks. First off, the layout is really weird. When you get a coffee, you should be able to visibly see where they keep the milk and sugar. You can’t here. It’s around the corner from the coffee stand TOTALLY hidden by the beam. There’s no way to even know that’s where the coffee condiments lay. Second off, the food quality is just so-so. But that’s just due more to it being a Finagle-A-Bagel.
