It’s some of the best curry I’ve ever had. For fast food it’s great. I order and get it in minutes. I always order the pork katsu curry. It’s always spectacular. The meat is nice and crispy and the pork is always tender. The curry is super flavorful. It is everything I could want in fast made food. If you like curry you should try it out.

It’s like the chain fast food version of Japanese curry rice. It really is what you paid for. The cashier and the pick-up area are connected but it looks like they are two restaurants, which could be come off as confusing to newcomers. I usually order medium-sized katsu(pork) curry rice. The amount of food fills me up. Not like it will leave me stuffed or starved. The curry tastes like the normal Japanese curry, which is not really spicy to me. The breading of the pork is crispy. But the pork isn’t too satisfying thick though. But again, you get what you paid for. As it’s located inside a grocery store, I wouldn’t consider this a fine-dining. But if you like Japanese curry and are looking for lunch, this is definitely a good place to fill your stomach up.

Service is horrifyingly bad. Not the person running the cash register but the man behind the counter actually serving the food. Not only do they not read the directions written on the receipt but he also had an extremely bad attitude when several customers tried to explain why their order was incorrect. I heard him blame one of the customers saying it was their fault their order was wrong(??). It’s such a shame because the food isn’t bad at all and I was so excited that an actual Japanese chain opened up in Boston but damn… service needs to be fixed or else they’ll continue losing their customers.

The pick-up ordering system is pretty dismal. But the curry is awesome enough to tolerate it. They charged $ 3 more for ordering there on the spot, but I tried to save money by doing EAT24/EATSTREET(there was likely a promo at the time). Do it only if you have time to kill and groceries that won’t spoil if you’re thinking of shopping at H-Mart. The time I waited it easily went over the 20 mins estimated waiting time. They didn’t even start putting together my order when I bugged them about it 25 minutes after placing my order online. Ordering there still takes awhile, but the wait is under 25 mins vs the 30+ you have when doing pick-up. That said, their curry is delicious, which is why I order here as often as I do(I’m currently the Duke, apparently). My buddy who worked in Sapporo loves this chain. Their pork katsu is normally what I get to go, and they *used* to make it so it stays in pretty good shape and not too terribly soggy by the time you get it home. The sauce was nicely separated from the rest of the food. Nowadays, the way they package it –with sauce all over the katsu and under– it gets things real soggy, real fast. Ask for the sauce on the side. The cutlet for the katsu is not as panko-breaded, which I feel was one of the changes in the past year, along with their prices, which had gone up, I believe. The sauce is amazing, though. If possible, just buy loads of the sauce and make your own curry for a fraction of the price.

When you’re craving something savoury this is the place to go. Curry by all means is the best comfort food you can find. My two friends and I got the World Champion Curry plate. I thought it was $ 25 but they bumped it up to $ 30…easier to split! Katsu was crispy, there was plenty of it too! I think they should have been a tad more generous with the shrimp tempura but regardless to say my taste buds were met. I wouldn’t go here on a daily since the curry is pretty overwhelming, but if you’re with a group of friends, go for it! This plate is fun to share and can feed about 4 – 6 people depending on how much you eat. Will come again if I’m craving badly.

A solid katsu curry place! I haven’t been able to find a restaurant that has the crispiest(but not in a bad, dry way) pork and rich curry, so kudos to Go! Go! Curry. It’s in a food court right in front of H mart, and the price is pretty comparable to other Japanese curry places. The small side of cabbage salad that’s included cuts the richness of the rice and meat, but I wish it had a little light dressing on it or something… also, you can tell it’s just taken from a package of coleslaw cabbage from the way it’s cut and how it has red cabbage and carrots… nothing like the thinly shredded cabbage shown in the food displays. I recommend if people are in the area and looking for a place to eat! No frills: you order at the counter and wait until they call your number.

Curry is not bad, but katsu pork is really thin and basically a flat piece of meat. Only difference between small and medium is more rice and curry sauce, so it’s worth it to just stick to the small

Its really a world champion curry… LOL…The quantity is definitely prefect for four girls I think. The fried pork is good and the price is also reasonable, but the curry is a little dry.

So from the cashiers’ mouth the only difference between the small-x large katsu curry is the amount of rice they give you. Seems a bit unfair to have a dollar between each size up, so because of this I ended up ordering the home run curry. The curry and katsu were not bad, but the sausage and shrimp were on point. If I’m really hungry before grocery shopping I’ll definitely be going to go go curry instead of Sapporo ramen.

Was hungry before grocery shopping so decided to try this place. Got the home run curry which comes with sausage, shrimp katsu, choice of pork or chicken katsu, egg, cabbage and rice. Sausage and shrimp were really good. Pork katsu was ok, curry not the best. Was gonna get the extra large katsu but the cashier told us the only difference among all the sizes is the amount of rice, not the size of the katsu which is a little ridiculous. But glad she told us before we ordered it. Tl;dr — curry eh, katsu ok. Not the best place if you want good katsu but will suffice if you’re hungry at Hmart.

It’s certainly convenient that this is in H-Mart, but I wouldn’t bother with it again. The pork katsu was cooked well(nice and crispy), but I just thought everything was kind of «meh» overall for the price. Tasted cheap overall.

There are multiple sizes of curry. I personally got the Home Run Curry which was just the right portion. In terms of presentation, it just about looks perfect as it does in the displays. Everything is neatly arranged on the plate and it looks great. The curry sauce is quite rich, not watery nor too dense. There’s just enough sauce, not too much that it’s overwhelming nor too little.

Really wanted to «like» this place. Was in a rush and hungry but wanted to try something new in the area instead of Chipotle so why not? Ordered a large and the thought of paying $ 13 for a meal was a lot. Food was nothing spectacular and although i was full and all, I probably wouldn’t come back. Also, I find it weird that you order from the Ramen place and just pick up at the Curry spot.

This is definitely a good curry spot in the greater Boston area, AND it’s inside an H-Mart. The prices are a little more expensive than curry that I’m used to, but it’s worth it. WHATTOGET: + Grand Slam: 2 sausages, 1 pork and 1 chicken katsu, 1 shrimp tempura, 1 egg, and side salad. For $ 16, this combo is best split between two people. You get to try most of their offerings, and the katsu and shrimp tempura were slightly heavy in batter but really good and had the perfect crunch. The meat wasn’t overcooked or dry, and the curry was not too salty. I really enjoyed the variety on this combo, and never got sick of the pork or chicken katsu because there were so many other things to eat on the plate.

So the trouble is that I lived in Japan for a few years and fell in love with Japanese curry, especially with chicken or pork katsu. So my expectations are really high. I heard a rumor this was a lot like my favorite chain in Japan so had to stop in. Unfortunately it wasn’t very good. It tasted like the curry I’d get on roadtrips when stopping at a highway rest areas, which is to say it was kinda boring and the curry sauce was too thick and heavy. The chicken was just meh, and there wasn’t really enough of it, not proportional to the rice. The ordering system is confusing, they send you down to a different counter to order. It seems like they could make it something so great, but instead just did the basic minimum.

What’d you expect from Grocery Food Court Restaurants, right? This is not a Mitsuwa, sadly. You order your curry at the Sapporo Ramen side & you pick up your curry on the Go! Go! Curry side. Strange, but just deal with it. There’s no real need to order anything larger than a small unless you plan on sharing a curry or your stomach is just very accommodating. The portions are very filling, but the food itself is worse than those instant Vermont Curry boxes on the other side of the grocery store in aisle I don’t remember. I’m a huge fan of Japanese curry, in fact it’s my favorite kind of curry. GGC was enjoyable, but«meh. I’ve experienced better» sums it up because I should’ve just gone home & made my own. I ordered the small shrimp curry, which was very filling. I’d imagine anything larger would be good for sharing, in which case you’d get a nice bang for your buck. $ 8.75 for a small shrimp curry that doesn’t even come with an egg or pickled veggies or just ANY vegetables in your curry is just obnoxious. There aren’t any vegetables in the sauce, rather, there are floating bits & pieces of pork. The cabbage they give you the curry with is just plain old cabbage. So, pretty much $ 11ish for rice + sauce + two pieces of fried shrimp + cabbage + extra egg. What a waste of money. I should’ve just bought a pastry or cheap sushi roll. While I ate the whole thing because I was really hungry, all I could think of was, «ugh why did I do this to myself? It’s not even good, but I refuse to waste food.» None of the things on my plate tasted fresh. Even the cabbage tasted like old refrigerator. The sauce wasn’t bad, but oh my gosh, where are them veggies?! Just buy a packet of those instant curries, get a bowl of rice to go, & pour your packet over the rice, heat it in the microwave, & enjoy. It’s better than what GGC offers. Also, the cashiers are often in a constant state of(–_-) face or they’re texting their friends. No smiles, no great customer service or anything, just(–_-). Sleepiness? Boredom? Whatevs? Avoiding that whole right side of H Mart next time; learned my lesson. tl;dr overpriced mediocre curry. Vegetarians/vegans & strict pescetarians should avoid all curries other than the vegetarian one because there are chunks of pork in the sauce. Vegetables in the curry are non-existent & normal curry toppings like pickled ginger & what not are extra.

Tried the home run curry which came with a pork cutlet(chicken is also an option), shrimp tempura, cabbage, egg, sausage and rice drenched in their curry. Nothing particularly special about it, nothing particularly wrong about it. The curry itself had a nice flavor and the cutlet was good too although it could have used less breading. It was $ 12.50 though which is kind of pricey but it is a rather large portion so if you eat it ad two meals not that bad.

Had it two times already — both take out, to avoid trying to fight for a table. I think this is best done SHARED(get the«Large» for two), or perhaps the Champion plate for 3(am dying to try that it looks extremely worth it amongst more people. Huge generous helping of Pork Katsu, not soggy, not over fried, just the right amount of breading, and very tender. Rice was splattered with thick fragrant curry and a good portion of cabbage too. Definitely going back to try the Champion curry! Particularly the sausages and shrimp tempura are something I’m excited to try. Service is polite and very importantly, efficient. Queue numbers are a fantastic way to do things and even at busy hours I haven’t found mysel having to wait insanely long.

I dont think this place lives up to its accolades. We ordered the world champ. It came in a medieval silver platter with a couple of forks. It was a huge plate of rice and 2 types of katsu – i think chicken and pork… maybe it was the same? idk, they looked slightly different, but tasted the same with the same texture. anyways… It also came with a couple of shrimp tempura, sausages and boiled eggs. everything was just okay, didn’t think it was anything particularly special. The meat was a bit on the dry side and the sauce was passable for food court stuff. Not a real big fan… but this place was better than its next door neighbor, Sapporo.
