I took an elderly woman back here to correct her taxes a few years ago and the guy we sat down with was a nasty piece of work. Do not go here.

Although the people we’ve used here for the past two years were basically competent, they were no more than that, and not *nearly* worth the cost. You can do much better for the price.

Come here for your taxes. Ask for Joel Gould. He was wonderful — patient, friendly, knowledgeable, and went out of his way in his spare time to figure out a side issue that he was in no way required to help me with. For someone who gets itchy with anxiety when her taxes get complicated, this was a surprisingly calm, stressless experience.

I came here about 4 years ago after my taxes were all screwed up due to being a contract consultant. I went back and forth with papers/​letters/​forms from the IRS and decided to come here to get it straightened out.
I took off work to fix this and had to come TWICE. They also took an inordinately long time each time I was there, even though I had all the papers and forms they needed. The office itself was shabby and the people did not seem to want to help their customers. I even heard them talk badly about some other person in front of me. Okay, so maybe you hate your job but don’t make it so obvious. It was much more expensive than I had been led to believe when I made the appointment.
Please, please, please save your money for an accountant with a private practice. I am sure they can do a better job and the customer service will be eons better.
