I’ve been here a couple of times and it’s always been a very pleasant experience. The food is great, healthy, with fresh products and a few very good vegetarian options(I particularly recommend the 21st century tofu dish). The atmosphere is nice(however it gets a bit noisy on weekends), the personnel is professional and accommodating. The dishes tend to be a bit expensive, but it’s worth going to this place for a date or a particular occasion!

if this is the best brunch in boston, we are not doing so well in the brunch category. The food is good, not great, the selection was paltry in my opinion(where is the lunch protein choices?), a couple of lunch salads, some mushy fish dish, no interesting egg dishes(there was eggs benedict but it looked like it was topped with knorr’s powder sauce). I am happy to pay $ 50 per person for a good meal but this is not a good value for $ 50/head. Coffee is great, though, but I can get that quality from anyplace which carries Kahve brand.

This place is amazing for desserts and loved the big space and the service. The size is unusual for Cambridge and Harvard Square. Really good place for kids, big tables, noisy, enough space. The two desserts we got were delicious: pineapple upside down cake with dulce de leche ice cream and the pie of the day with vanilla ice cream. Both great. We will be back!

I’ve eaten here before, but WOW have they gone downhill. I went on a Saturday, and there was no brunch. Understandable, but what they were serving was below mediocre, in fact the crab soup was downright terrible; and the best items were average at best. I don’t think I’d take a chance going back, too many better options around, sadly.

Hmm what to say, there are so many great reviews for this place, and I get it, but I guess I just came on the wrong night? We were a group of 5 coming here for dinner, and I’d say the overall the experience was alright. The ambiance and décor was pleasant, the service was decent, but the food just wasn’t anything special. My friends got the salmon and steak entrees, which were both a little dry according to them. I got the vegetarian tofu entrée, which was a little disappointing– the tofu was stiff and rather bland, complemented by a salsa which was an attempt at asian fusion but fell short… Maybe we just ordered the wrong things, but from what we got, it wasn’t anything worth the price. Better luck next time I guess :/

No one tells you that this is the place to see and be seen among the Cambridge who’s who. Expect to see Drew Faust strolling out casually. Get the mashed potatoes. The meal is very filling and the atmosphere, in spite of its elite clientele, is surprisingly unpretentious. The colder and darker it is outside the more comforting this place and your meal feels inside. It’s a real upperscale comfort foody place. I would take anyone here from a job candidate I was trying to recruit to a kid celebrating a report card.

Had two meals here while staying at the Charles Hotel – I was somewhat of a captive audience. If grading the breakfast only, the result would be 1 star. Screwing up the Basics. Example: Bacon, even after being ordered«extra crispy» it was clearly the same bacon one might find under a heat lamp at a low-rent buffet: limp, greasy, bordering on slimy. Mind you, this isn’t a low-rent joint. Dinner redeemed the score to an overall 3 stars. Decent service, esp at dinner.

Closing from 11a-12p to switch menus is ridiculous and does not reflect opening hours.

This is a great place for a business meal and I am kind of a regular. We also come here periodically for the Christmas buffet dinner, which is great(no goose, sadly). At the last buffet we reserved for 6 people and expected to pay for 6 but they didn’t charge for our 2-year-old. I do wish that they would stretch their American-only policy to allow for Prosecco instead of the California sparkling wine that they do serve. Some other reviews complain that this place is overpriced and/or under-serviced. Sometimes they do seem to be a few waiters short, but labor is crazy expensive in Boston and Cambridge. Would you want to pay even more to have someone poised with a water pitcher next to your table? As for the price… look at the real estate consumed by this restaurant. Most of what you’re buying is the table, not the food. Try to get extra warm cranberry walnut bread(available at nearly every meal) and consume it with butter. Consider that one extra course! These are some of the only true hospitality professionals in Harvard Square.

I tried Red Flannel Hash, poached egg and Salmon egg Benedict. Can’t emphasis how delicious the orders are. Pineapple juice was not fresh as stated in the menu! I like the ambiance. Without reservation, we found a table for too and it was quite busy. The waitress was fast and responsive to any inquiries regarding the type of oil chef is using in the kitchen or the source of meet they are using. I was craving the bread pudding; unfortunately they don’t serve desserts during breakfast time !! I absolutely recommend this place :)

I love farm to table restaurants and I love the ’ country esque’ feeling so the second I arrived at this restaurant in the Charles hotel, I adored it. We sat at the bar for a bit and had a glass of Red Ziin. I felt like I was in a cute farmhouse in Vermon and I knew I would be eating delicious homemade food. When we arrived at 4:30, the place was empty but by 6pm, it was packed. Luckily we had a reservation for 6:30, otherwise we never would have gotten a table! I started off with another glass of wine, Pinot Gris this time, they have a fairly large wine by the glass menu, and they do 6oz pours and 9oz pours. They brought us over some delicious bread to start. Their homemade bread with cranberries and nuts was fantastic, I think I ate 6 pieces. I asked for olive oil on the side and more bread, I couldn’t stop eating it! For starters we ordered 3 different local cheeses which came with come fruit crisp crackers, blueberry preserves and dried fruit. The pieces of cheese were rather small(or so I thought), but they were tasty nonetheless. For dinner I ordered their Autumn hake special, which was outstanding. Small piece of hake fish over a potato pancake in a light sauce with radicchio on top. Very light and tasty. For desert my cousin ordered the brownie sundae, which was tasty, brownie with vanilla and chocolate ice cream and marshmallow topping. Overall synopsis: very cute, makes you feel like you’re in the countryside. Food is tasty and homemade. It does get super packed and loud(then again it was a Friday evening). I would highly recommend it though!

As a chef you think it’s cool to try food and try it all. When my girlfriend took me to Henrietta’s tables I was nothing like oh here we go again we walked in and sat out side it was summer the place was busy it was sunny hot and full of people so we looked at the menu we did three courses we both had a caprese salad which was the best I have ever had next for entrée we had duck two ways and wow that was good perfectly cooked apricot sauce and we got two sides mashed and Brussels which also was amazing for desert we had smores Sunday and I had the chocolate bread pudding with caramelized bananas both were great in been back multiple times trying at least half the menu and all I can say each time is how amazing it is. Keep up the amazing food here I’m a fan and will be back a lot more with my friends and family!

This is a review of breakfast at Henrietta’s Table. I can’t speak to their other meals. I came here once for a weekday breakfast and was thrilled. I was sat quickly, the service was prompt, and the cream chipped beef on buttermilk biscuits was a really fantastic dish. I came back for Sunday breakfast(served before 10:30– not the brunch) and had such a miserable experience that I felt compelled to leave a negative review. I ordered the cream chipped beef on buttermilk biscuits, which I was excited to have again and share with my sister, who had heard my rave reviews. When our food came, I was handed cream chipped beef on an English muffin. Biscuits and gravy is nothing like gravy on a freaking English muffin. The restaurant ran out of biscuits, and while I understand that this happens, they didn’t inform me, didn’t give me an opportunity to choose something else, didn’t warn me, and so all of our food arrived and I had to send back my dish and be foodless. Finally, someone else came to take my order and said, oh yea no more biscuits. Thanks, you should have told me 20 minutes ago so I didn’t get my hopes up, not tried to pass it off like English muffins would be fine. At this point everyone else was half finished with their meal. I got the smoked salmon because I knew it would be fast. For the next 15 minutes, our waiter didn’t come by. No apology for the issue or delay, and also no coffee refills or water. We had to waive him down to get any attention. In terms of food: The salmon was very tender and of good quality. The bagel was over toasted. The red flannel hash was almost inedibly greasy. The French toast was really excellent. Also, they don’t take Sunday reservations, and won’t seat you until your whole party has arrived. That’s fine, but they also won’t let you write your name down, which is senseless. As such there are crowds of people standing in line with half ready parties, others who arrive and get caught in the traffic and not seated in order, and others who barge to the front with their half full parties and somehow still get seated. As such, if you arrive 5 minutes before your party, you’re in a weird line limbo where you have to wait, standing, and hope your party arrives before you reach the front. Overall, the service sucks, they make food substitutions without telling you, and they don’t have any notion of catering to customers or apologizing for their mistakes. As much as I love the food quality, I’m very disinclined from coming back.

If you’re going to splurge, come here for the 55 – 60 $ Sunday brunch. Reservations recommended. This is for premeditated food comas only. Your day and productivity will be f*cked after this experience. Full spectrum — terrines, cold cuts, chess, pates on lock. Prime proteins range from sliced sirloin to sword fish. About 6 – 7 desserts along with your standard brunch fare — chicken and waffles, eggs Benedict, etc. You might need to starve yourself midweek prior to maximize all the gluttony.

This is one of those overpriced, is that a celebrity sitting over there restaurant in Harvard square. I went for brunch and the servers were nice but they forgot parts of our order and it seemed like they wanted us out of there. I didn’t order much food, so I was good in bouncing. If you like overpriced is that Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian or Brad Pitt over there places, this is the place for you. I am sure I thought I saw Matt Damon there(kidding).(Or not.)

Food: 4 stars Service: 3 stars Came here for dinner on a Wednesday night and it was super busy! They seemed to be understaffed with only 2 waiters who could get your order for the entire place. Therefore, service was pretty slow and we felt somewhat ignored. I don’t blame them, I just think they were understaffed. Pre meal bread — came quickly and there was some variety to it and it was good! It wasn’t the best bread ever, but it did help with the wait time and they are generous with it. App — House Smoked Pastrami Salmon: 3 stars, pretty good but nothing mind blowing. The lemon-y sauce they had on it is a nice acidic twist. Did not regret getting it, but don’t plan on ordering it again Entre — Duck breast — 4.5 stars, SOSOGOOD cooked to perfection. would get again and again and again. Not 5 stars because I don’t go to bed thinking about it or anything Dessert — chocolate banana bread pudding: 5 stars MUSTGET even if you’re stuffed! It comes with carmelized bananas which is good in general, but I swear these bananas are extraordinary The place is a bit pricey, but I think the food is worth it

The desserts were delicious, the entrees and starters plain, and the service bordering on bad. Prices average for the area. Ambience fun casual on the inside. Came here during with 4 friends after getting a reservation, seated immediately. Apps: I ordered the corn and maine rock crab soup. It was broth-based and somewhat underwhelming. The crab was certainly featured but could have used some more spice and/or richer broth. My companions ordered the seasonal salad specials and thought they were fair. Entrees: Two folks got the vegetable chili and stated it was good with a hearty helping. The 21st century tofu received a fair review from one person. I ordered the duck which was cooked very well, simple breasts with a very large portion — enough to take home. The leg was particularly well done. Overall, I felt similar about the general approach, with it being minimalistic like the soup, where it lacked a certain flair or specialness. It’s minimalistic cooking that makes you dislike the approach – too in-between – either make it more raw and rustic or jazz it up. Sides: All the sides were very large portions, FYI. We each ordered a side and had plenty from each one to take home. They were simple steamed or baked sides with fair flavor. Dessert: The desserts were the real standouts. The bread pudding was immaculate. Hearty, large portion, and beautiful appearance. The chocolate brownie sundae was anything but generic or predictable with an appropriate pairing of Taza chocolate unlike a lot of places that force it or relish using it but pair it poorly with other flavors. Drinks: We had a few single glasses of wine from a very decent wine selection. I was happy with the array of both choice glasses and inexpensive nice finds that do not usually grace the menus around Cambridge/Boston for under $ 15. Service: Our waiter seemed a bit of a dud. He constantly was coming around and giving us the«Oh yeah, that thing you ordered a while ago, I’ll be right back» look. He didn’t have many tables and just seemed distracted constantly or not as around as the other servers. The other servers and tables in our vicinity seemed to have much better attention so I wouldn’t say this is a good generalization. Ambience: Rustic fun casual on the inside. There were people who looked like they came from the theatre and others the beach without anyone looking out of place. Luckily there was a fun vibe on the inside that helped mute the plain dishes and slow, distracted server. Returning: I’d go back for Sunday Brunch and to eat outside. I’m not eager to return for regular dinner again.

I think I’ve found my new regular date night place! Ordinarily I’d avoid anywhere that boasts that it’s organic and locally grown, but Henrietta’s has changed my mind. We totally gorged ourselves on cheeses from the day’s selection, with cocktails. I had the rhubarb fizz, which was splendid! I really enjoyed the tartness of it. My husband had a spectacular piece of salmon, and I had the duck. Both were incredible. We were so happy. Or at least we thought we were. Then came dessert. All I can say is yum! I had the maple cheesecake which was entirely amazing. My husband had the pavlova. We were so amazed at the fact that there was pavlova on the menu. At little bit of a let down, as the shell was a little flat, but otherwise stunning. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our evening, and will be back for sure!

If Henrietta’s Table wasn’t so good, I probably would never find myself in Harvard Square. But this gem in the Charles Hotel in Harvard Square is one of my go-to restaurants. Their menu changes all the time, so it’s always a pleasant surprise to find new dishes that I like. Henrietta’s Table prides itself in providing delicious sustainable farm to table meals. And boy, do they deliver. The food is fresh, tasty, and comforting. Walking into the restaurant, I was a bit taken aback by the casual environment. I fully expected a place like this to be a lot more stuffy. But the server made me and my party feel extremely comfortable. I especially liked the Yard Sale(combo) that they have on Sun-Thurs. You can get any three courses for $ 37 or any two courses for $ 32. It even comes with one side. Given that a) I like to eat a lot and b) I usually like to try a bunch of different dishes, it’s the perfect option. My favorite is the duck breast, confit leg entrée. The leg meat falls right off the bone and the breast is not at all dry. Paired with the berry and port wine reduction, it makes every bite mouthwatering.

I absolutely loved Henrietta’s Table! I was visiting Cambridge, MA for work and my coworkers chose to dine at Henrietta’s Table after hearing such wonderful things about this quaint restaurant! I ordered the Henrietta’s Yard Sale — Three Course, which was such a great deal! An appetizer, main course, side dish, and dessert all for $ 37! I chose the New England Salt Cod Cake, House Maple Smoked and Grilled Free Range Duck Breast & Confit Leg, the Butternut Squash, and the Native Baked Stuffed Apple served with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream! Oh my… Everything tasted amazing and the duck was cooked to perfection! The meat on the confit leg literally fell off the bone and let’s not forget the impeccable service we all received from our waiters! Also, the ambiance and décor of the restaurant was so charming and cute! I highly recommend Henrietta’s Table, especially if you are visiting from out of town! Would love to come back again really soon!
