A grossly under-utilized park for its size and convenient location, Hoyt Field could admittedly use a face lift. This park consists of: — Baseball field — Infant/Toddler play area — Older kid play area — Tennis Court(2) — Basketball Court(2) — Water feature(maybe) Unfortunately, the play areas are covered in sand rather than the nice cushy material and some of the equipment is rusty and doesn’t look so shiny and new, but of the times I’ve been to this public space, I’ve never actually seen kids use any of the play areas… only the tennis, basketball, and baseball spaces are used. What’s up with that, Cantabs? I like this park because it’s right next to Basta Pasta, there’s parking, it’s huge, and there are big-girl swings! So much potential!
