This is one of those hidden gems that you wished you knew about sooner. Lemlem’s Gallery is beautiful, unpretentious, layered, humorous, cultured, and delicious. So much is packed into a tiny space, yet it doesn’t seem crowded or overpowering. Sales staff is helpful and non-intrusive, and it’s not necessary to spend a lot of money to get a unique piece. When I have a gift to buy and I am at a loss for ideas, this is where I go. Jewelry, artwork, fabrics, sculpture, this is a wonderful spot.

This is a wonderful gift shop and carries a lot of upscale items I used to sell and purchase at Whippoorwill Gallery in Boston, plus some of the most beautiful jewelry you have ever seen especially by «Echo of the Dreamer». Exotic clothing, handbags, scarves and candles from Votivo are just some of the wonderful items here. Harvard Square has lots of unusual shops but this is one of the best and the owner is a charming lady who really cares helping you find just the perfect gift. I used to work at the Museum Company store at Logan and her customer service is just like ours used to be. If I had the funds I used to have I would buy out the store!

Holy Cow! This shop is such a charming surprize! I’ve walked by Lemlem’s dozens of times on the way to work… but just kept walking as I’ve spent(wasted) way too much time browsing in other shops that were un-inspired and well, cheezy. I walked in and WOW… the place is just packed with amazing stuff. Even though the space is quite small… rather than feel cramped, it felt exotic and warm. The prices ranged from really quite reasonable(you don’t want cheap, right) to higher end. One necklace caught my eye… but it was too short(for my fat neck) but without sounding like a hungry sales person the charming woman(the owner?) behind the counter told me that she knew the artist and surely could get it made longer. I’m confused about another posting that only offered four stars… this shop ROCKS and will be on my list of favorite shops. Five stars from me!

My five stars is equally about the owner of this gallery as it is about the wonderful wares inside. She is soo charming and helpful and never intrusive. She seems genuinely glad that you just stopped in even if you don’t buy. For such a small shop, I generally feel awkward just looking around… This is the kind of store that Harvard Square needs more of…

I had a feeling that the wares in Lemlem’s Gallery would be just right to find a gift for my mom, and it did not disappoint. It’s the ideal Cambridge Ladies store – elegant and earthy stuff for the middle-aged liberal woman who has attended the Christmas Revels more years than many people reading this have been alive. But I don’t want to sideline the personable Lemlem and her charming gallery so offhandedly. Yes, there are many scarves(one of which is about to adorn my mom!) and boxy jackets in bold colors, but there is also a lovely assortment of art, jewelry and housewares which caught this 31-year-old’s eye. It’s not a place for deals, but what you get is of good quality and pleasing to look at. Lemlem is a lovely woman, too. She has mastered the subtle art of becoming invisible when you want to silently browse in her relatively small space, and becoming engaging if you need help, input, or just a chat. The website link doesn’t seem to be working so here are the hours: Mon — Sat 10am — 6pm Sun 1pm — 5pm The store is next to Charlie’s Kitchen and across from the Charles Hotel(I think Lemlem’s is aiming for patrons of the latter establishment).
