My friend and I traveled to Cambridge for the Heart of the Chesapeake bike ride and had an unfortunate run in with a tree at our campground. Our bikes were pretty mangled so we were hoping there would be someone from a bike store at the ride. Luckily, Matt from On the River was there and saved the day. We did not make the ride(we’re going to ride the course tomorrow) but he was able to fix our bikes, gave us a great price, and gave a route to Layton’s Chance winery so the day wasn’t a total waste. Great service, great shop, excellent people! Thanks, Matt!

This shop is great! I showed up in Cambridge from DC and had left my bike shoes. I showed up at this shop at 8:30 am a half hour before they opened and they came to the door to great me. They unlocked the doors and listened to my issue. Immediately they sprang I to action offering me loaner shoes and changed out my pedals. They charged me almost nothing for this and were very kind. The. They offered to give me a ride to catch up with my riding group because we were doing 112 miles. They even broke out the maps and helped me find my group. I highly recommend them and hope everyone gets a chance to check them out! John Matlock

I rented a road bike from this small bike store and rental outfit and had excellent service and a very good value bike. On returning the bike I was additionally impressed with the range of used bikes for sale, including some really interesting and vintage pieces. Worth a visit if you’re looking for a second-hand bicycle or want to rent.
