Came for pizza tonight– 1hr and 15 min wait. AND the two pizzas didn’t even come out at the same time. White pizza wasn’t what they described on the menu either had mushrooms and no scallions or parsley Pizza was good– worth the wait or price? No.

I called asking about a cake for our wedding and I couldn’t be happier with the customer service at Round House. Through the call we discovered that the Round House I had intended to call was in a completely different state but despite my mistake the café answered my questions about wedding cakes and they were supremely helpful. Thank you so much for your help.

A really great breakfast spot! I had eggs with toasted baguette and roasted potatoes and it was yummy! The baguette was freshly made whole wheat and it was the right combination of chewy and tender. My friend had the breakfast crêpe with ham and cheese and he loved it. Service was great, the setting is lovely, and much of the food is local. My latte was delicious, but the brewed coffee was a little weak and nothing special.

This was my first time in. I really liked the feel of the place, friendly and casual. There was an emphasis on local produce and bakers which I appreciated. The food took longer than I’d expected, but it was really good when it came. Very friendly staff.

The Round House is a real boon for sleepy Main Street, a comfortable, old-time locale for a hearty and delicious meal or a quaint setting to sip an espresso while reading a dog-eared book, perhaps from a library. I love the food and the setting here. The place is an old bank, and the intact vault door which constitutes a large portion of the front wall is a fun aesthetic and historical curiosity. All of the baked goods, especially the breads, that confront you on arrival look too good to be true, and based on our limited experience they most certainly are. Round House operates a wholesale baking operation in town, clearly the source of massive amounts of goodness. They also manage to include fresh fruits and vegetables from their garden in most of their dishes. We had a black bean and a salmon burger on their fantastic bread, along with the very light and tasty omelette that came with a spectacular seeded baguette. It was rather difficult to keep our hands off the scones and muffins, but somehow we did. I have high hopes that Round House will thrive despite being in an area with an inconsistent amount of foot traffic, but I am confident the word will get out. They’ve already decided to extend their operating hours, which is a very good sign. Who says top notch café fare and ambiance can’t be had in a small, upstate New York hamlet that undoubtedly harbors more cows than people?

I enjoy stopping in at independent cafes, especially cafes which up serve good coffee! Located in the Village of Cambridge, the Round House Bakery Café opened for business in April 2013 in the former Bean Heads Coffee House, a 19th century brick building. The atmosphere here is casual and relaxed. The place is order at the counter with self serve table seating, plus there is also outdoor table seating with umbrellas along the sidewalk out front. This café serves breakfast and lunch offering fresh baked goods & pastries, breakfast crepes, breakfast sundaes(granola, fresh fruit, yogurt), made to order sandwiches, salmon burgers, organic black bean burgers, salads, homemade chili, plus coffee drinks, tea, smoothies, and cold drinks. The ingredients in the food comes from local suppliers and farms. Several flavors of fresh brewed hot coffee from Vermont Coffee Company(self serve carafes) are offered here. Daily specials and music events at the café can be found on their FB page. I stopped in here for a light snack recently on a hot sunny day. I picked up grabbing a Large Iced Coffee with a Chocolate Chip Cookie and a Ginger Cookie to munch on. I almost went for a cheddar corn muffin over the cookies. The service here was prompt. The iced coffee was very refreshing and had a robust bold flavor. The fresh baked cookies were soft with a light dry texture inside and not too sweet. The choc chip cookie had lots of chocolate chips. This was a great place to stop for a break, check my FB, and chillax from driving through the country!
