My family & I are huge Curious George fans & had to check this spot out on our recent Boston trip. As you can imagine they have everything Curious George related. I picked up a «Curious George Goes to Harvard» t-shirt for me & my son picked out some books he didn’t already have along with a stuffed George. They have other toys & books too for children of all ages but it’s really heavy on Curious George obviously. There’s so much to browse & kids will love it. And they offer a coupon for $ 10 off a $ 40 purchase if you check in with your Unilocal!app.

So I admit I don’t have kids but I used my niece & nephew as an excuse to go in here. First how cool is it that this is the ONLY Curious George store ever! That is enough to check it out but the nostalgia is really the draw. Get transformed into a book with Curious George and the man with the yellow hat! Cute toys surround the store, tons of books all over and beautiful wall art that jumped right off the pages. There is also a great $ 10 off $ 40 check in great for gifts since the stuff in there can get pricey.

This store used be something special under the previous owners! Not anymore. The new owners are unoriginal and have ruined the store. Very«commercialized», not what the author would have wanted:(

Everything Curious George under one roof — from toys to books to clothing. Visiting Harvard Square on a business trip, I was beckoned in to pick up souvenirs for my grand-kids. The variety of sizes for t-shirts was very limited… each pattern seemed to have only one or two size options — it almost looked like they were closeouts and not being replenished. Obviously the prices were«tourist trap» level but they are the«Worlds only Curious George store!!» so I plunked down $ 50 bucks for one 4T shirt and a 12 mo. onesie — because that’s what grandmas do!

I WISH I was a little kid so I could enjoy this store properly. Wait, who am I kidding. I DO! Such a quaint little place for parents to take their kids. It’s a tad on the smaller side, but there a section blocked off for kids to sit down and play/read. And the staff ALWAYS has a smile on their face(okay… ONE time I came, the cashier didn’t. But just that one time). They often have summer events on weekends. Definitely worth a visit if you have a youngin with you!

So much cute stuff in here. Pricey too. I’m 22 and I wanted to buy every other thing. This would be a great place to treat a child to if you’re willing to burn some $$$. They have much more than Curious George themed merchandise, so even if your child isn’t aware of who Curious George is, first of all you’re a bad parent, and second, they could definitely still find something they love in the store anyway.

If you’re a big fan of Curious George and you’re in Harvard Squre, then you have to visit this store. It’s not a cheap place to shop, but they have a great selection of toys and books for young children.

Oh my goodness, how adorable!!! I literally came here for 5 minutes as the time on my meter was running out. I wanted to check it out as I always pass by and now that I’m pregnant I was eager to just step inside. I found book cover onesies for babies(hello, Make Way for Ducklings and Le Petite Prince!!), adorable baby items, really fun and educational toys and book(omg So many books!!!) and a lot of stuffed animals and plastic animal toys for the little ones. The front door has the cutest decals and many little ones were trying to get a photo at the front door. I will definitely be back before my little one is born!

A cute little toy store with a Curious George theme. Has a lot of the little toys and nic knacks you’d expect in a small independent toy store. Bonus points for having a nice little nook built in for children to hide away and read. The location here is absolutely their strength, right in the heart of Harvard Square. If you have kids and are walking around the Square, you will no doubt want to check this store out.

I changed my review to 3 stars after reading Adam’s response. I appreciate his update on the pricing change that they have made and am looking forward to stopping by to give the store another try.

This is an updated review based on a very positive experience I had at Curious George in Harvard square a few weeks ago! I was looking for a gift for my friend’s son who was turning 2. The staff was extremely attentive and helpful. The selection of gifts and toys is excellent and goes way beyond just Curious George. I left the store only spending $ 25 and got two really great gifts. I am really happy I gave this place another chance, the new management improved my experience greatly.

An adorable store in Harvard Store. It was fun of not only Curious George things but also many fun toys and books. A child’s paradise!

My nephews love Curious George, so I felt obligated to come into the store every time I’m in town, this is probably my fourth time in the store. I have purchased some Curious George dolls and sticker books for them when they were three and two years old. There are typically a lot of kids and their parents in here. There’s even a little bench to sit on. I was reading a Dr. Seuss book yesterday and a little girl walked by and said, «I’ve read it before, it’s a really good book.» I thought that was the best! It actually was my first time reading«Oh the places you’ll go!» :) I bet the next time I’m in town, I’ll find myself wandering back into this little cute store where monkeys and imaginations run wild!

If you are looking for Curious George stuff — well — you found it! They also have tons of kids toys and education items that don’t have anything to do with CG as well. A fun stop when you are in town and a great place to take a kid.

I stumbled across this place while wandering the area. They have a really good selection of merchandise — from t-shirts to stuffed animals to books and other knick-knacks. Prices are on the steeper end, but I’d say it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re bored and in the area.

Kicking this review up to a 5 — after coming in multiple times and having the staff answer my questions about whether they had specific Curious George items and non-Curious George books in stock(without looking at a computer), it’s clear they know their stuff. Woo!

Super Cute store! I was imagining there would be more George things there, but it still had a ton. Different size & type Georges, books, growth charts, games, dishware, birthday supplies, wrapping paper, clothing, stickers, coloring books, water paint books, games, toys, cards and more. Definitely fun place to bring your little one, especially if he’s into George. Parking is sparse, try the lot across from the Border and then just walk down the alley.

A great store if you like George and have little ones. This place is just too darn cute for it’s own good! I’ve seen George books and toys at other stores but they can’t hold a candle to this place. Books, toys, clothing. you name it. Just oozed with adorable. If I had a little one I would’ve lost my mind in here but as I don’t it was a cute walk down the childhood path.

We just visited this store today while waiting for our Harvard campus tour, and we(grandparents, uncle, parents and 2.5 year old) all loved it! We happen to stumble upon story time, so that was cute for my son to participate in. The wide variety of books, toys and knick knacks made this a fun shopping experience. The store was also clean and cutely decorated. The store employees also stored away our stroller as we walked in, which made maneuvering through the store much easier(especially when several other strollers were already back there). The store is also conveniently located right in Harvard Square. It was a great stop to give my son something to do.

According to their website, this is THEONLY Curious George store in the world. The world’s most adorable, furry monkey friend, George, gets its own store? And it’s located right in the heart of Harvard Square. Anyway, if you are a fan of Curious George, looking for Curious George books or cute Curious George clothes(adult Ts and baby clothes), or you simply just want to step into the world’s only Curious George store, then you should definitely hop on the red line T and make your way to Harvard Sq.
