Allow me to identify myself as an Asian American young aspiring female who was raised in the 870. I recently sent myself on a spontaneous flight to my hometown in which I call Camden, Arkansas so I just had to visit Cardinal Café during my trip. On a side note, you would not find as many Asians in Camden as you would in a bigger city elsewhere. Having said that, as I entered the restaurant, there were multiple stops and stares, which made me feel a bit uncomfortable. However, the service was indescribable. There were a couple of occupied tables so I was expecting to wait a bit longer for my biscuits topped with hot gravy and a few pieces of bacon but surprising to say, the wait was literally less than five minutes. This southern meal that I have not had in years filled me up immediately and definitely made me feel at home again. The service was outstanding. You can never go wrong with southern hospitality no matter where you are or where you are coming from.
