So so so good! So easy to find and inexpensive. The tacos were fresh and delicious and there was nothing bad about it. The atmosphere was fun and I enjoyed my time there. I enjoy eating tacos and Mexican food and have been to quite a few places, but this restaurant is one of the greatest and yummiest! Love it and will definitely return.

I am a big fan of tacos, so when I heard about this place I had to check it out. The food was amazing reminded me of places around my area with cultural cuisines. The food was inexpensive, which is great for a college student. I ordered the chicken tacos with everything on it and if i must say I will definitely go back again. Everyone was very friendly, I highly recommend this place for tacos lovers, like me.

Five years later still five stars. It appears that the neighborhood has also taken somewhat of a positive curve. Cops were out on federal which was pleasant for an outsider to see visiting to what many consider this city to be considered hell on earth but 10⁄10 no issues. Two thumbs. Lady told me my poncho burro was 11.75, menu said 8.75 and I even showed her in which case she pleaded insufficient understanding to the point and identify method of denoting the price. Well ok, since I preferred not to have them deliberately mess up my food(which they probably wouldn’t have but who knows) I just paid her«adjusted» figure of 10.17, ultimately not a big deal. No points shaved, she can thank the gentleman cooking the grub. The chicken is just absolutely perfect, tender slow roasted, bone free and delicious. I can’t say I know when I’ll be back again but I know when I go back again where I want to go.

Great, Authentic, Inexpensive Mexican food! Location not the greatest… but sometimes«hole in the walls» are the best

I want to give it 5-stars.but the location in itself-its 4-stars! My coworker, who’s married to Mexican, knows a thing or two comes to Mexican food. raved about this spot, they make other things, but best thing make-chicken tacos, with sour cream, Mexican cheese. Let’s just say-It was The Bomb Diggitey!!! I only had one, wow, was it GREAT.!! Shredded chicken with tomato, onions, on grill flat top, it was HEAVEN! There’s a bar with all the condiments, sauces, mild to spicy! Only hesitatation-it is in Camden, felt like needed to carry a concealed weapon, as some sketchy people stand outside. Return factor: Yes, with my coworker !! LOL

A hole in the wall mom and pops place that looks a bit scary but is soo good that it’s worth coming to Camden with a high chance of getting jacked for everything u got for amazing authentic Mexican … I’ll risk my wallet for some chicken tacos. So I guess I’m loco for taco loco

i agree. very borderline best thing ever eaten. i had the goat barbacoa burritos. and, maybe it’s because i havent eaten mexican food since I moved here 7 mos ago, but this crazy burrito was AMAZING. im obsessed with goat meat! and this goat burrito was goat-y without being gamey. also, the salsa bar rocked. salsa bars are amazing. oh ALSO, it was hands down the best tortilla ive ever put in my mouth. like warm and flour-y.(i dont like corn tortillas — awkward.) also, El Taco Loco is in Camden!!! sooooo fun! take a trip to Camden and economically stimulate them plz. d-sastre.

El Taco Loco was the first restaurant I’ve tried of the many Mexican places on Federal in Camden. It was just, err, average. Maybe below average. I ordered goat tacos, chorizo tacos, steak tacos, and a couple of tamales. First, the tacos. The meat tasted dry and lifeless almost across the board; the chef obviously didn’t start with great materials, and he didn’t have the flare to compensate on the grill. It’s great when you find good barbecue goat tacos in this area, but these certainly weren’t that good. Second, the tamales. I ordered tamales wrapped in corn, but they only had the ones wrapped in something else, some huge leaf. They came out all wet inside. They felt stew-like instead of steamed, like I like them. The salsa bar was uninspiring. Nothing looked or tasted terribly fresh, and the choices wouldn’t blow anyone away. Imagine the Mexican equivalent of ketchup and mustard. And, they didn’t have agua de horchata.
