Fiesta Americana

This place has great food at a great price! Real authentic Mexican cuisine here. No Chi-chi’s fake mexican garbage served at Fiesta Americana. Homemade tortillas and salsa arrive as soon as you sit down. Chips are served with refried beans and sour cream drizzled over top and they keep coming out with more! There is so much food here. There are many things I am unfamiliar with here but the waitstaff tries very hard to explain things to you. They have cactus and seafood dishes and all the traditional authentic mexican dishes. They make their food to order and were wonderful accomodating my cilantro allergies. They do not have alcohol here but you can bring in a bottle of whatever. even tequila. They will give you the mix and salt for margaritas! The pork tacos pastore (pork with red sauce) had pineapples in it and came in a fresh soft flour tortilla! I wish I had ordered more than 1. The tacos are $ 2.50 a piece. They have 5 or 6 varieties. The food overall is good but some dishes like the chicken flautas were missing a little flavor. The price is right and it is worth checking out especially if you want to be adventurous and try some real Mexican food. Two apps and 3 huge meals came to $ 40.00!!! We had lots of leftovers!!! The décor is a little scary. The place has bright red and green walls and it was a little dirty but I have seen worse. The service is excellent. Very friendly and happy to serve us! One of the waitresses (not ours) came over to chat with us. I ordered several different things and she asked which one I liked the best and if we had been here before. She was surprised «we» (non mexicans) came to eat there. I have been there 3 times and told her I would put out a «Yelp» to let EVERYONE know that Fiesta Americana has REAL Mexican food and is worth checking out!!!
