came for dinner before a concert. Tried the pork sandwich which was good but I was expected more pulled pork rather than sliced. It was tasty though. I wish it would’ve come with fries or sweet potato fries instead of a lame bag of chips! My mom had the crab cakes which were strangely spicy and mostly filler. She wasn’t thrilled and wouldn’t try them again. The star of the table was the crab and artichoke dip served in a humongous bread bowl. Soooo so good! Filled with crab and the sourdough bread was wonderful. If I were to return I would just get apps.

Revised: I wrote a review yesterday based on experience with one bartender(Amanda-blonde) who was unprofessional, rude and not very well trained. Sadly she has worked there a while. I’m revising today because I had time to sleep on it and her actions don’t reflect the establishment in whole. This place has one of the best views in the tri-state area. The ambience is pretty good and the people that go there add to the vibe. Mainly a college crowd but with local neighborhood folks mixed in. The food is what you would expect from a pub. Nothing great and nothing bad. The wings are the best on the menu with spiced fries coming in second. Not much of a dinner selection but it’s a pub. Prices are reasonable if not cheap if you catch a special. Hey have free parking and music from a juke box with plenty of small flat screens. Now the bad. Cleanliness isn’t their strength which makes me wonder about the kitchen. Experienced many times the bar being dirty and being served on dirty bar. Same with pub tables and outside tables. Glass and silver wear may have spots or lipstick. Which leads to the service. Don’t expect good service. Actually you’ll probably get attitude with your drink. If you are okay or indifferent with bad service, you’ll like it here. Not all the staff are like the majority are. There are a couple really good bartenders and waitresses. They say«a few bad apples.» Never a thank you, how’s your meal? If there is a crowd or concert the service gets worst. Ownership should take note that this is a consistent complaint in Unilocal and google reviews. This place would be awesome if they fixed this problem. I’ll rate them on the curve and give 3 stars for ambience, view of city and free parking. Everything else needs some improvement.

Fantastic gem in this area of the city. This place is exactly what you’re looking for! And you’ll certainly feel relaxed after a day of work in the city. The crowd is mixed… Business men/women, attorneys, hospital workers and other professionals. They have a nice full bar, with just about anything that you’d want to drink. And the size of the bar is huge as well as the table/dining area. Also the food. It’s okay but pretty great for«bar food». This isn’t fancy sit down eating, but a nice casual cozy place. The menu is pretty diverse and there are items you’d be surprised to see. One issue I’ve noticed is the bartenders. Inattentive, not really paying attention. Kind of slow. Even on a slow night.

This bar has some pros and cons to it. Let’s begin! Pros: One of the only bars in Camden. Cheap beers Cons: Everything else. Considering that The Victor manages to keep this place clean in a city that resembles the movie Mad Max is nice. But the bartenders and staff are incredibly inattentive and the food is abysmal. If you’re in a rush don’t come here, by the time someone takes your order you’ll have waited at least a half hour. Drinks take ages to come out as well, unless you’re sitting directly at the bar. Overall this place is what someone could call an upscale cesspool.

Nice spot if you’re in the Area. Plenty of seats at the bar. Has large dining area. Wings are great.

Went for New Years. Music sucked. Boring atmosphere. Calamari was literally the worst I’ve ever had.

The Victor Pub is a casual oasis in the food desert of Camden. Try the spinach and artichoke dip! Far and away the best thing on the menu. Rich and creamy, served in a cut-out breadbowl. Other highlights on the appetizer menu includes the wings and the spicy fries. The paninis are also excellent. Try the veggie, which has a nice sauteed spinach rabe on nicely pressed bread, with a hint of oil and vinegar. Copious amounts of melted cheese. Pro-tip: Tuesday’s are trivia with DJ Lou, who is the man. One of the better trivias I’ve been to. They also have great deals all the time, particularly after 8 or 9($ 1 tacos, half off beers etc). The tv’s are a little small for sports, but they frequently are playing whatever game is on. They frequently attract a good crowd, but are so spacious that it never feels crowded. Great place to drink before or after a concert at the Susquehanna, game with the riversharks, or a day at the aquarium.

Not really impressed with the food or service. It wasn’t very busy and it took the bartender 10 minutes to come up to us.

The Victor is a good hangout/meeting place before or after a Riversharks baseball game, waterfront mega-concert, or a visit to the Adventure Aquarium. It is located in the historic Victor Building near the waterfront in Camden. This was the world-famous RCA Victor’s HQs for years. The iconic stained glass image of the dog Nipper listening to an old victrola is still preserved in the tower of this building. At ground level is the Victor Pub which is prob not a destination in and of itself. No matter — it works fine for when you are in Camden. There is outside seating as well as a spacious indoor dining and bar. The interior has a cool industrial look to it. The Victor Pub is a boom and bust scene … before a concert it’s bursting at the seams and straining to accommodate everyone which is understandable; other times it’s much quieter. Service can be mixed — my waitress wasn’t particularly friendly but everyone else sure was and more than made up for her in making sure I was well taken care of. My favorite item here are the mini Panzarotti balls. These are awesome — five stars for the Panzarotti balls. Add hot sauce and you have a total treat. But one tip — Be careful eating them — they can squirt across the bar when you bite into them… for real!

Tap only review. We walked in here only to use a functional bathroom before we drove to our hotel. After a show this is not the worst place to wait out the cluster f that is leaving the parkimg lots at Susquehanna Bank Center. I have literally waited almost two hours to leave the parking lots at Susquehanna… had this place been here then it would have been amazing. Nice addition to the area. My g/f had a Blue Moon I had a Double IPA from a Cleveland microbrewery and both were $ 4.50 which felt like a amazing deal considering where we were. Bar had a familiar feel too like a place we stopped after a Steeler’s game which added to it’s appeal.

Picked up a sandwich and a salad. Got home to find all the spinach in the salad is old and wilted and the sandwich is cold. Save your money.

The food was basically inedible. Please save yourself the money and go somewhere else. I am turning green just thinking about it. In fact, the table next to us thought the same thing and left 7 dishes there untouched and just walked out. It also smelled, the tables were beyond sticky, and the bathroom had one stall out of three that was barely usable. The waitress took over ten minutes to bring us drinks, and forgot the kids orders. Hope this helps! I am surprised this place got decent reviews before mine. I would have never gone there. It needs a bar rescue ASAP!

I might be biased because my boyfriend went to law school at Rutgers and thus the bartenders here know him and are always giving us a nice deal. I actually like the food I’ve had — spicy fries were delicious and the crab and artichoke dip is also tasty. Its great in the summertime to sit out on their deck and look at the Philly skyline. They also have lots of deals during the week from what I remember. I like it here because the area is large and open, the food does its job, and its a great place to stop by for pre-gaming before any type of event in Camden.

This place needs a Bar Rescue + new ownership. I’ve lived in The Victor Lofts which is connected to the Pub for almost 3 years. You would think the Pub has a built in customer base and yet it stays empty most of the time. The staff is very friendly but they clearly lack good leadership. It’s not uncommon to have 1 bartender + 1 waitress busting their asses while the owners are posted up in their usual spots eating and drinking. They only speak to people they choose to. It’s more than awkward. I stick to ordering 1 – 2 items and because I live in the bldg I used to order frequently. Because of the inconsistency and rudeness of the owners I’m completely over it. As a business owner I understand how frustrating ownership can be but I’ve spent way too much $$$ and I’m done

This isn’t a bar for the whiney suburban yuppie or the pretentious, faux urbanite snooty hipster; this is a bar for the gritty, genuine urban dweller who wants a low-key place to drink with friends, that’s also pleasing to the eyes and has a laxed atmosphere. Decent alcohol selection(though it should be noted I’m not picky with my alcohol), Awesome prices, great food(bay fries are the best). Patio has a great scenic view of Penn’s Landing/Center City, Philadelphia. Bar tenders can sometimes take awhile to get to you, but they make an effort. Has a diverse crowd, locals, college students,(even state and local senators every once in awhile!) I love grabbing a few drinks here with friends, or stopping there on the PATCO to grab some good food before I head into philly. Favorite local bar.

Couldn’t ask for a better waitress and service. The chicken cheese steak was cooked to perfection with grilled onions and a perfectly chard role. Accompanied by hers potato chips. The Philly cheesesteak was packed with meat and grilled onions and American cheese but was just too too salty. The Littleneck steamers were outstanding! The broth was the perfect combination of garlic, butter, lemon, scallions, bacon and parsley. Just fantastic! The location is perfect on the east bank of the Delaware. Love this place. There is plenty of parking and lots of great hospitality.

Came here a couple times when I was living nearby and/or visiting the waterfront attractions. The food is edible at best, stick to beer because the mixed cocktails taste like cheap rubbing alcohol and use the worse quality of mixers. I had my fiancé’s goddaughter and she ordered a kids pizza meal. The pizza was layered with the worse sauce and topped with the weirdest looking mozzarella on a long soggy roll. She was unable to eat it and shared food with the other kids. With little competition I can see why improvement is not on the top of their list. On the upside great beer specials per the advertising. If you just want to drink beer and relax this may not be a bad option as there aren’t many others if any around.

Dear downtown Camden, please one day give me a place to go for dinner that is not Victor’s Pub. Though it’s food is tolerable, and though their liquor works as well as anyone’s, its cavernous space is always awkwardly empty, and it’s service is consistently lacking. You have such potential, with storefronts on Market and Cooper Streets just waiting for real restaurants and cafes. In the meantime, we’re stuck with only the Victor on the waterfront, the view of Philadelphia reminding us that it is possible to have great restaurants in the blocks by your waterfront. Someday, Camden. Someday.

The Victor can get away with just about anything, since it’s one of the few places in the area with a liquor license that stays open past 4pm. It takes a while for a waitress to pay any attention. Having been here several times, I’ve only had Good service once. Generally, the staff is lackluster. Not sure if the turnover is fast, but the waitresses don’t seem to be informed of what’s on special, on tap, etc. As for food, you probably don’t need to be told to stay away from the fried calamari, but just in case: do not waste $ 8 on chewy flour-y tasting batter. Stick to fries and chips. I honestly haven’t tried entrees here, though. A dj comes in to play an odd assortment of music once a week. The jukebox offers a stale helping of pop, alt, and classic rock options. It is what it is, but it could be better.

Table sticky. Panini soggy… Drink(ice)(nothing but ice). No one here service as if it was mobbed. On a positive you would be seated immediately !?!
