The food was great and the wine was superb! We bought 3 bottles of wine. I really enjoyed the white Zinfandel. And the price was very good at only $ 18 a bottle!

Good food, great atmosphere. Shared a pizza with my wife. Perfect for the two of us. Could have been better service. One person in the party got a baked potato. They brought it to her and she had to ask for butter and sour cream. They brought her two small fake butters. A place like this should serve real butter.

Excellent fine dining in our sweet little town. They are accommodating to those of us with gluten intolerance which is very appreciated.

Not your typical winery with vineyards nearby. It is more a restaurant with a large selection of wines. They have tastings of 3 on the house. The food is very good and the menu is diversified. Seevice was spectacular however the wine and food made up for it.

What a great winery/restaurant! Wine tasting begins with 3 on the house, then you can try 3 more for only $ 8. Not only do they have incredible white and red wines, but they also have delicious fruit wines, perfect for summers on the lake! On the food side, the Italian nachos are absolutely divine and the owners are very friendly and personable. Such a great experience. I can’t wait to go back next time I am in town!

Excellent service, Very clean and comfortable atmosphere, Delicious Sicilian Pizza(given the three complementary tastings each: my husband preferred the Cab Syrah Zin and Latin Grande and I preferred the Aussie Blanc and Bella Bianco. The Black Diamond Dessert Wine is exceptional!

Stopped by here today during our Ozark Winery Tour! This was our first stop and I’m sure glad it was! It’s not your typical vision for a winery… it’s found right off the main road in this golden building. There are no nearby vineyards or anything for Golden Rock Winery… it is just the restaurant inside where they also have some large vats where they make their own wine. Restaurant definitely looks like a nice place to hold a banquet or to have a meal, but unfortunately, we didn’t have a chance to eat anything. You get 3 complimentary wine tastings which is great because they have a large selection of wines to choose from. By far the most favorite wine I had here was the White Zinfandel… delicious! I also tried the Orchard Mist which is a green apple Gewurtzraminer, something that would go great with apple pie. I also tried the Peach Mist as well… you definitely need to be a peach lover to enjoy this drink!!! I’m not a huge red wine fan, but my bf tried the California Syrah and that almost converted me to red wines… so tasty! If you want more wine tastings, you can also go for the wine flights as well. We went for the 33oz wine flights for $ 8, but if you’re wanting more you could always go for the 36oz wine flights for $ 16. I would definitely come back here to sample some more wines and try a meal here next time! Pros: — nice, romantic area for a dinner and some wine — complimentary wine tastings — easy access, right off the main road of Camdenton Cons: — I only wish that we were able to have more complimentary wine tastings Why I gave it a 4… Great start to our Ozark winery tours. Got to start off with 3 complimentary wine tastings and some wine flights to start off our day! I just wish they had vineyards nearby that you could take a stroll through. Overall, I would definitely like to come back here, especially in the spring!

Took wife and kids here Saturday night. Special was Prime Rib dinner. Live music going. Wine tasting flowing. All around great night. Staff very knowledgable of what they sell. Had to box half the meal up bc desert was too tempting. We live close by and can’t wait to go back. I recommend Cran Chi wine.

This is one of our favorite places to go in Camdenton. The owners are so nice and treat you like a friend when you’re there. The wine is fantastic! And the chicken pesto pizza is to die for — I recommend ordering some extra pesto sauce on the side for dipping. I wish they had a lake view, but the friendly service, wine, and good food make up for the lack if scenery!

My parents came to visit from NY and wanted to see what Missouri had to offer. Osage Beach is about a two hour drive from here so we decided to stop for lunch. Golden Rock Winery had what seemed to be the most well rounded menu(my wife is vegan so we need to know certain things before we’ll even consider a restaurant) and we all like wine and breweries and figured it would be a nice place to go for lunch. First off– This is just the winery. For some reason I thought it’d be near a vineyard(my wife apparently didn’t) but I’m just dumb sometimes and make bad connections. We later found out that the grapes are from all over the place but they do make the wines on site. We showed up at around noon’ish on a Saturday and there was one other table being served. I now realize this was Memorial Day weekend. Not sure if that helps or not. Our server got us started off fine and seemed very knowledgeable. The menu, however, was very long and had a lot of stuff on it. I ordered a BBQ cheeseburger. It tasted fine. Lettuce and tomato did not seem fresh at all. My wife ordered a vegetarian pizza. The veggies were all canned and nothing tasted fresh. My dad ordered a chicken club(Tuscan?) that had the same veggie issues and the chicken was very dry. My mom got a chicken wrap from the daily specials and seemed to enjoy it. Since my wife could barely eat her pizza, we all offered our french fries which she would normally love. She did like the regular waffle fries but the sweet potato fries seemed a little off. I really wanted to like this place. The atmosphere was great and the people working that bar and our server were very polite and knew a lot. The only redeeming factor for was was that each entrée came with three free tastings of their wines and they didn’t mind if we sampled each other’s choice. We ended up buying a couple bottles since the wine was actually very nice. If they could just get the food on the same level as everything else, we would definitely go back.

What a great pace to meet up with friends for good eats and great wine! I had a great night with the girls and enjoyed sharing a bottle of their own version of a White Zin! Fabulous!

I came here with my cousins on vacation. We hit three wineries that day. This was the third one we came to and it was by far my favorite. I don’t drink a lot of alcohol since it really flushes me, but wine is okay. That being said, I’m not a character from Sideways and this review is from a person who likes fruity and white wines, not dry or red wines. You can taste three complimentary wines and then you pay a little extra if you want to try more. I tried five or six and liked all but one of them. But the ones I liked, I loved! I tried the fruit wines: Black Satin(blackberry merlot), Red Satin(black cherry pinot noir), White Satin(strawberry riesling), Orchard Mist(green apple gewurtzraminer), Peach Mist(peach chardonnay) and Wild Zin(pomegranate white zinfandel). The only one I didn’t like was the Wild Zin(pomegranate) but it’s not like I hated it. The bartender was relaxed and friendly, pretty easy to engage. My cousin is pretty serious about wine, and she tried the Orchard Mist and said it was delicious. It was sweet but it didn’t taste like I was drinking a liquefied Jolly Rancher, which can happen sometimes with alcoholic beverages with fruity/novelty flavors. They have a sweet deal where you can buy six mini bottles for $ 36(so $ 6 apiece, and each of the mini-bottles equates to two or three glasses, depending on how much you pour). I bought two of the Red Satin, two of the Orchard Mist, one Peach Mist and one Black Satin. In retrospect, I wish I had bought more! It was so reasonably priced and they were so fun to share with friends when I got back to Atlanta. I hope to get back to Lake of the Ozarks soon and buy more! And next time, I’ll buy at least one full bottle of each of the ones I liked. The atmosphere was a little bit meh, but I was having such a good time with my cousins that I didn’t really think about it. We weren’t there to eat. We were there to drink wine and the staff was attentive and helpful. I let them know that I was new to wine as of that day and they did a great job of starting me off with drinks that wouldn’t blow out my palette with bitterness/dryness.

Me wife and I went here for dinner tonight. We had a great time sitting and eating at the bar and talking to the owners who were very friendly. The food was good and fairly priced. I enjoyed the cheese platter and was surprised at how much came with it. For a small town establishment it was very good and had a warm inviting environment. We will be back again.

We only stopped by for a wine tasting — and it was delicious. Three tastings of any variety are complimentary, and you can pay to sample a larger flight. This place imports all of the grapes, so the wines aren’t of the typical MO varietal. Golden Rock has a semi-formal, darkened setting, which is really not what I go for when I’m chillin’ out around the Ozarks.

We love this new restaurant and so do our neighbors. The atmosphere is lovely… I do not see how Sabrina S. claims it is dark and gloomy. The owners totally remodeled the inside and added many fine decorative pieces as well as a beautiful fire place. I highly recommend their tilapia and Saturday night prime rib special. We also have had wonderful pizzas too. The owners are such a friendly couple and are always there to make sure things are going well. Sabrina S. try it one more time!

Finally made it to Golden Rock winery after hearing friends say it was good. I did not like this place. The wine was ok, the food average. The inside was dark and gloomy. The menu was uninspired with salads, burgers, sandwiches, pizzas and pastas made with cream sauces. I had a salad with a berry balsamic dressing highly recommended by the server, and it was bland. The chicked pesto pizza was tasteless and devoid of seasoning with huge globs of cheese plopped down on it. My husband had the barbecue chicken pizza which was perhaps slightly better, but that’s not saying much. Needless to say, I am not going back.
