The only reason I’m giving one star is because the MA’s at the front worked very hard to make sure I was going to be seen. My appointment was scheduled for 1pm and I arrived at 12:30 because I assumed there would be paperwork to complete since I was a new patient. A few minutes after arriving I was told that I could not be seen due to my insurance. Although it was a stressful wait, one of the MA’s called their billing dept and made sure everything was taken care of. I wish I would have gotten her name, she was the one with dark hair. Very kind and professional. Once that was taken care of I was put in a room where I waited almost an hour and a half to see Dr Rangi. When she came in she seemed rushed and irritated. She had a terrible bedside manner and left me feeling completely discouraged about the care I was going to receive. She was condescending at times and I finally just gave up trying to explain what I have been going through. I waited two months to see her and now I will be searching for someone else. I have never left a doctors office feeling as discouraged as I did when I left Dr Rangi’s office.

My first appointment was great. We were taken in almost as soon as we arrived and waited a very sort time. We met Dr. Rangi and she seemed very experienced and answerred all our questions. She recommended blood test and other exams. Very though. The second visit was quite a bit different. We had an appointment but received a call and were asked if we could come in on the day of the phone call. We agreed but found that was a big mistake. We waited a total of one hour to see the doctor. I think they must have double or tripled booked. I couldn’t understnad why we received that call to come in and wait an hour jusst to see her. The third appointment and our most recent was not much better. We waited an hour on that visit as well. I was very disappoointed and we were almost ready to leave when she came into the office. In that time frame she received a personal call. It didn’t last long but it was very disconcerting. The information she gave regarding my treatment was unsatisfactory. Her recommendation to me was to pay $ 1,000 out of my pocket for an osteoporous medication(a yearly shot). She told me to check with the pharmacy to see if it would actually cost $ 1,000 and they confirmed the cost and said that they didn’t handle that medication and that they returned the perscription to her office. There are other alternatives but none of the ones she recommended seem resonable. I waited for a call from her office and decided that I would give her office a call today since I hadn’t heard from her. I left a message. A few hours later I called again and was told that she was out of the office and would return next week sometime and would then call and make another recommendation in regards to my medication. I’m probably givng her a low rating because I do not like to wait for anyone over 15 minutes and for her to stick us in a room is not to my liking. She might be a very good doctor but she should have a little more respect for her patients and not make them wait an excessive amount of time. Also, she should have alternatives to medications that are a little more realistic to the patients pocket book.
