Some othe«fancier» donuts never seem to be fresh. Seems ok if you stay with the simple glazed stuff.

I absolutely love this place! The pastries are so cheap! The donuts are only $ 0.80 and they are so delicious! Very light and fluffy! Definitely better than any Safeway donuts I have ever had. I will definitely be back there! I know my friends love when I go there too because they are in for a yummy treat!

Holy mama I had a glazed donut this morning and it was like making sweet love by the fireplace with the soft sounds of Marvin Gaye in the back and I feel like I’m the hottest woman alive… I actually have no idea what that would feel like BUT when I ate that donut I imagined that’s what it would feel like! Go get one and tell me I’m wrong NOREGRETS!

Amazing donuts, always fresh! The apple fritters are the best I have ever tasted. My personal favorite is the Tiger Tail and my husbands is the Chocolate Butterfly. Warning, they are no longer Cameron Park’s best kept secret so they run out quickly and when they are gone, you’ll have to wait until tomorrow for more.

Went into this donut shop as it is near our house as my 2 year old wanted donuts as did I. Just as quickly as I entered into the shop my daughter ran out the door as an empty display case with two trays sat three quarters of the way empty with crumbs and a selection that appeared to have been heavily sorted through. I agree with Donna R. What type of donut shop does not carry donuts or have them in stock in the morning hours? Made my way to Raleys down the street and had to settle. Needless to say we will not be returning here ever again.

i really don’t understand what all the fuss is about. sure the donuts are good, but they are NOT the best in the area. and don’t even get me started on the horrible service! WHY would i want to give my hard earned money to a place that has terrible service and their product is only moderately good? I WOULDNT! won’t be going back.

Great product no question. Lost a star for rude lady that works there I think she is the owner. Lost another star for being out of about everything at 11 am. Lost the 3 rd star because last time we went at about noon and they were already closed for the day several hours early. Sorry but I don’t understand if you are selling out make more. It’s not that hard 2 other people came and left at the same time as me they left with nothing I needed up with a muffin.

The mrs wanted an apple fritter. She is very set in her ways. Bakers Dozen is her favorite. I decided to have some fun and do a Pepsi Challenge. One fritter from there and one from Heavenly. Heavenly’s was moist, buttery and perfect and won the challenge.

You gotta get up early if you want to get some Heavenly Donuts because they will run out! There have been times we have gone and the choices have been slim pickings so we learned. Glazed donuts are just what’s the word — «heavenly»!

What a joke. Went in on a Sunday and he literally had 4 donuts left that looked like the had been sitting there for three days, with literally 10 empty racks. Wtf? What kind of a donut shop doesn’t have donuts on a Sunday? There is nothing heavenly about this donut shop!

I hope you like chocolate donuts, because it seems to be their specialty. Maybe I just went at an odd hour(8am on Friday) because all they had was plain chocolate, chocolate sprinkles, old fashioned chocolate, chocolate bars, double chocolate, and more chocolate. I didn’t mind I guess, I’m a chocolate fan, but I was buying donuts for a group of people so it would have been nice to get some more variety. The donuts themselves were great, tasted exactly like donuts should, nothing out of this world but definitely good quality. I would go back despite the attitude that I got from the owner who argued with me about how many donuts are in a dozen. Glancing over other Unilocal reviews, that seems to be a common theme here. I did make off with some maples as well and they were really maple-y if that’s a word and pretty sweet. The old-fashioned donuts are my favorite. This is a great hole-in-the-wall place though and if you’re ever in the area looking for a non-chain donut stop(but still okay with paying regular chain prices) then come on in. I hear the backtalk is on the house.

Yummy doughnuts that melt in your mouth. Worker behind the counter wasn’t very friendly.

Unlike some other reviewers, I’ve always had great service here. The people behind the counter always have a smile on their face and joke with my kids as they try to make up their minds. It’s close, inexpensive and the donuts really are amazing. They’ve never had that heavy, greasy feel that I’ve gotten from other donuts. The blueberry is delicious, as are the maple bars. Even the cake donuts are moist and tender. Definitely our favorite weekend(and sometimes on the way to school) treats.

Probably the best donuts in western El Dorado County. Fresh, nicely done — and a great selection! Your waste line can pay a high price with donuts… so if you are going to indulge you want the best bang per inch — and this place delivers! When I need a donut — this is where I go!

Awesome Donuts, but really poor service. The lady behind the counter seems to be bored and doesn’t really want to help you. The donuts on the other hand are the priced reasonably and are the best in the County. One of our favorite items are the Ham and Cheese Croissants. Seriously delicious. 5 stars for the donuts 1 star for the service

Four stars for the donuts, and the prices are awesome. Negative 3 stars for the service. The lady behind the counter was talking on the phone in a different language, via bluetooth headseat, while helping the customers, including myself. I found it extremely rude. Sucks its the only place around.

Since this place is now my local donut shop, I decided to give it a try. A nice little shop located right off the freeway, in a great stopover location when you’re on your way to Tahoe. It’s a quaint little store with enough seating for 15 at the most. I was greeted with a smile by the nice man … that’s weird. I don’t think I’ve ever been greeted with a smile at a donut shop before. Hmm maybe it’s because I was a fellow Asian(we’re pretty token here in Cameron Park). The apple fritter was calling my name«eat me! eat meeee!» no no no — I will not! You’re half the size of my head. I settled for three donuts: Chocolate glazed — dry and mediocre taste. Keep in mind it was 2pm, not fresh anymore. Chocolate glazed with nuts — oh snap they used chocolate dough for this one! I wasn’t expecting that. It felt like I was eating a chocolate cake … this one may be my PMS remedy. Blueberr y — now that’s a damn good donut. I can’t wait to try the rest of the donuts but for fear that I could easily go on a ravenous PMS binge here, I’ll be riding my bike instead of my car on the way over here. I figure I’ll break even in calories by the time I reach my house going uphill.

A donut is not a donut is not a donut. If you want to taste the true potential of what a donut can be, all that it ever was and at the same time the perfection in its old-fashioned, glazed, frittered, sprinkled simplicity, please go here. Right off of the Cambridge exit in Cameron Park, it’s a perfect morning stop on your way up to the mountains. Take extra. A dozen including an apple fritter was an incredible $ 8. Also, the service has greatly improved over the years. The donut lady on Saturday was all smiles. So, go on. Give the gift of the pink box today. Its power is strong and cannot be denied.
