McCorkle’s Eatery & Pub

The pork chops were amazing as was the broccoli cheese soup, which had generous chunks of chicken. Cold beer. Super fast service and pleasant waitstaff. If I lived local, I’d be a regular here.

I was tired and hungry after a long day in the car. The desk clerk said it was the best place in town so I gave it a try. I looks a little shabby on the outside and definitely down home on the inside. Nothing fancy. The Bar (smoking) side was busy. I ate on the non– smoking side. Most of the customers seemed local. Several family groups were eating on my side. The service was prompt and friendly. The server recommended the tenderloin sandwich. It was large, juicy and crispy served with fries. I took ½ the sandwich and most of the fries home in a box. Large portions. Several other things on the extensive menu looked good but will have to wait for the next trip. Good value for the money.

The unpleasant and unclean stench in combination with food on the floor in the nearly-​empty restaurant nearly turned our family away before we could even sit down. While I didn’t have high expectations for such a small town pub, the service and food still managed to disappoint me. The waitress couldn’t keep up with the two tables that she was servicing, and only checked up on us to bring us our check. If the service was better, it would have had a better experience.

Mccorkles is a great place for lunch/​dinner and or drinks! I always loved the fried barfoods (the chicken strips & tenderloin are awesome) but now that I am dieting the grilled chicken and salmon steak are new favs. The staff is wonderful and call us by name, its the ONLY place I can walk into and order «the usual». Jason makes a world class Long Island Iced Tea and I love their draft beer. The whole town pops in for St. Pats day, I recommend Mccorkles to anyone.

McCorkle’s is the proverbial downtown bar and grill with the essential pool table, long backlit bar, compliment of viewable-​from-​anywhere televisions to the monstrous flat screen TV. The menu is complete from short order to full entrée meals with salad bar. The drink menu is extensive and a large selection of beer choices, draft or bottled is available. Wine is available but selection is limited, as far as we could tell. A family area is available separate from the bar. We enjoy the bar atmosphere but to have a quiet conversation, one might select the family area for less of the bar and grill atmosphere. We never miss a chance to have a beer, merlot, hot beef, and tenderloin from McCorkle’s.

SPIDER-​MAN HAS DRANK BEER AT THIS BAR. Yes you read that right many years ago when this Eatery and Pub first opened up Spidey (Tobey Maguire) came on down from filming a movie north of town to have a drink.
It’s a great restaurant in town that serves real food that’s not processed. You can tell it doesn’t come out of a bag from the store. Great spot for lunch, drinks, and dinner.
It’s also a great spot now for private parties through reservations in the banquet room. I’ve seen bachelor parties, wedding celebrations, Christmas parties, business meetings, or simply birthdays in the room.
It’s supposed to be a great friendly atmosphere. If it’s not ask for Debby and tell her and she will change it quick and make it that way.

Food is good but the service is horrible. Waited a very long time & 2 tables that got there over 10 min after we had been waiting, got their food before us. For the service we should have gotten a discount because the food is pricey.

Always a great place to stop in. Great atmosphere and salads are wonderful. Wait staff prompt and courteous.

Co-​workers and I met here to eat one evening after working and it was just what we needed. Nothing too fancy or over the top, but it was like being at home. The food was good and mine was really good. The prices were right and the service was really good. I have no complaints about the food, but the tea was a tad bit too watery. Had a lot to choose from on the menu and they even have coupons! Can’t go wrong with that. I will visit them when I’m in Cameron again.

Good local spot. Tenderloins are very good — both the dinner and the sandwich. can’t go wrong with anything on the sandwich menu.

I wouldn’t recommend it to someone. The service is awful. Excuse me but the waitress was so rude. I pulled out my ID and handed it to her and told her I want a water and I’ll want a drink but let me think of what I want. I asked her if she had a drink menu she is like NO and was like really rude about it, and huffed off to get my water. She came back 15 minutes later (mind they have a total of 3 tables in there) so not busy. And she came and gave me that asked if I knew what I wanted so I told her I what I wanted, she didn’t even try to upsell the place to ask if I want top shelf vodka, um whoa what the hell. So she is huffing and puffing off to make my drink, and I had to run to catch her and tell her I’d like top shelf vodka. The drink was awful, ridiculously awful. My mom got a tenderloin that was freezing when it came out. My salad was gross, the lettuce was brown. The waitress never even asked us how our food was. She was just awful, I didn’t tip her. I honestly didn’t wanna pay for our meal it wasn’t satisfying at all. In fact we left half way through, and ate somewhere else. I will never go back .
Also for what we paid I shouldn’t have to sit in a booth that is duct taped, and smells. The bottles were all sticky, I mean shouldn’t a waitress cleant hose?
