San Onofre Dog Park

Had a great time here! It was safe and secure, had plenty of tennis balls and toys, fresh water and nice people!

My dog loves it here, but there are rarely other dogs here. I have heard that people usually bring their dogs here around 5−6pm after they get off work. There isn’t a specified area for large dogs and small dogs, so all dogs play in the same area. It’s not the best dog park we’ve been to, but it gets the job done!

My dogs love it and it’s close to home for those living in the San Onofre housing area! I wish more people used the park — often we don’t see other dogs for weeks at a time! No one has a regular schedule for coming here. So, make a friend and plan park time! It’s clean and most people pick up after their dogs. The fountain is working now — it was broken for a while (update: it’s leaking again and is muddy around the fountain — also likely due to the rain from the past few weeks). Trees provide shade and there are a few benches available. There isn’t a separation for small or large dogs, but most who come here are friendly.
