Alright. Been going to the Metolius River for about 7 years. The river is a work of natural Art. Always a pleasure to hike along the river, take pics and enjoy the scenery. But what would any amazing place like this be without a local store. Not just any store, but a totally outback, in-the-woods summer vacation type store with all the nostalgia and aspects of that summer family stop. It’s basically like a store in a movie. A must stop place for anyone traveling across the Hwy 22 to or from Sisters. It’s only about 6 miles off the path. Pick up some snack, a shirt, hat or sweater, some fly fishing gear and drinks. This place has got you covered and it’s just cool. I’m pretty sure you can even rent bikes there. They even have salads, sandwiches and fresher foods too. I took my dad here for the first time and he said«Is this some kind of time warp!, I’m pretty sure we are in Northern California.» Lol, he said it reminds him of camp stores in California. Anyhow, it’s a great place to stroll into. Have fun!

This place has everything. It’s a store, fly shop, deli and coffee shop, post office, and gas station all in one. It’s also a community resource, gathering place, and information center that is the hub of Camp Sherman. Three day summer weekends include BBQ’s, bands, and farmer’s markets. The service and hospitality is top-notch, warm, friendly, and above and beyond the call of duty helpful. Even though it’s a one stop-light town, The Store has almost everything selection-wise from eclectic, to organic, to super-healthy, to classy, and also the not so healthy if you choose as well. Many people eat their meals at the deli there because the food is restaurant quality. Just remember, the sandwiches and lettuce wraps are huge, so you better have an appetite, or someone to share it with.

Perfect spot for a quick bite, all fly gear and advice, gas/propane, ice, groceries, swag, and more. Makes camping/fishing the Met much easier for the city folk.

BEST little well stocked historic store you would ever hope to find in one of the most beautiful places on earth!!! Love this store! Been going to it much of my life! Best candy & coffees ever as well as rustic nic nacs and rustic clothing! Great for the fly fisherman!

This store is a great place to stop on your way through the Cascades on Hwy 20. The sandwiches are awesome! They have a great selection of supplies and the customer service feels like it is owner operated. Last time I visited, I got my usual sandwich and some jerky from the counter jar. I always make a trip to this store to eat lunch and admire the Metolious. Great place!!!

Where do I even begin? I visited the Camp Sherman store expecting the typical camping center fair: marshmallows, chocolate, hot dogs, bottled water, and maybe, just maybe some instant coffee packets. And then I was blown away. — Espresso machine and coffee bar — Sparkling Water — Micro Brew Beers(Sold by the bottle) — A fully stocked wine rack — Assorted flavors of hummus — Cheeses of every sort — Yogurts and fresh fruit — Fresh Donuts and daily-baked pastries and muffins — Deli Sandwiches(And PB&J) — The New York Times(Yes, the newspaper) — To die for chocolates — Columbia Hiking Gear — Fully stocked fly shop — DVD Rentals — Free WiFi Internet(around the store) I could go on(this store has items that not even my local grocer in Redding, CA offers – a population of 100k+), but the point is: attention to detail is everything here. From the fresh cut flowers placed around the store, to the wonderful staff(thank you: Alex, Mitch, Steve, Amy, Mark, Harry, and of course, Kathy and Roger and Lauren), to placing reading glasses on the counter for those who forget their own. I met a couple who lives in Sisters and drives up to the Camp Sherman store several days a week just to spend the day. If I weren’t 6 hours away, I would be doing the same. This is the right store, with the right people, in the right location. I could not be happier to be a part of the wonderful environment they’ve created along the Metolius River.

This is a great little store and the fact that they have a fly shop in the back is awesome. There isn’t always someone there who knows about the flies/river, but they have a good fly selection not to mention reels, rods, packs, leaders and tippets. On our recent trip I’d go there every morning with my daughter for coffee. If you are staying around Camp Sherman, this little store will be an important part of your visit.

I went here for a bbq a couple weeks ago! They had food, live music, and a whole bunch of people! The music wasn’t quite my style, but they were amusing… I checked out the store and they have everrrrything! It’s amazing and almost overwhelming! I’ve stayed in one of the houses in that area too, and they are adorable! I love this place!

Got some advice on the river & trout. Bought a few flies, and we were on our way(ended up getting totally skunked though!) :(Oh well. ***** My friend went to the«store» portion of this establishment & grabbed a homemade granola bar(I hear they make scones on the weekends as well, but they go fast).
