I concur with everything James Q said in his review. We were on the other end, being the buyers, and Rolf just saved us a HUGE amount. All we had to do was show the sellers his thorough report and they immediately conceded. Most importantly, Rolf kept our family safe by pointing out major hazards. This inspector is thorough, knowledgeable, professional and very kind and patient. (I was a very annoying customer.) He communicated with me well beyond our contract and referred commendable specialists for termite and septic inspections. Rolf understands these areas but also affiliates with certified specialists when need be. Rolf Klink at Statewide Inspection Consultants sets the gold standard for home inspection services in the Orange County, NY area. I contacted Statewide for a pre-​sale inspection late last summer as we were about to put our home up for sale in a very poor seller’s market. Rolf responded promptly and conducted a thorough inspection of our property. He was very professional in his inspection and very knowledgeable in all major home systems (electrical, plumbing, heating, roofing, drainage, etc) as well as home construction in general. He also took the time to patiently answer all of my questions both at the time of the inspection and afterwards.
We received a full inspection report with photographs within days. After taking care of issues and repairs indicated in the report, we left a hard copy on our kitchen counter as realtors and prospective buyers toured our home as well as a link to the full online report for any interested party to peruse at their leisure.
Bottom line… the house sold in a matter of weeks in a very poor market. The buyers did not do their own home inspection, only a couple of supplementary tests.
