I live close by so have come here several times and found the customer service to be abysmal. The majority of times their lottery machine is broken and the guy working always seems annoyed when you ask to buy a lottery ticket. I’ve also bought hard alcohol and beer here. Again, the guy doesn’t seem to enjoy his job, never gives eye contact, and never says thank you. One time he had to get off his cell phone to ring me up, which really seemed to put him out. I’ll take my business elsewhere as he doesn’t seem to appreciate customers. Even the 7 – 11 around the corner is nicer.

I live super close to this liquor store, so my friends and I are always popping in. Yes, their prices are high and you have to spend $ 10 to use a credit card, but the guy that runs this is super chill and they are always well stocked. Also, their location is prime — they are located right across from Rotten Robbie(the cheapest gas in Campbell, woooo!) off Hamilton. If you want some alcohol, snacks or soda in a hurry, this is the spot to go.

I liked this liquor store until today despite higher prices– the store is two blocks from my house and it’s terribly convenient. In fact, this is the third time in the last nine days that I’ve purchased from this store. I went in to buy a bottle of tequila. When I got to the car I realized that the cap was cracked and the ring seal around the neck was partially broken. I went right back and asked for a new bottle. The owner, Tony, wouldn’t give me a new one. He said he couldn’t be sure I didn’t drop it or try and open it. I asked him, «What good would it do me to buy this, go outside, partially open it, and then come back in to get a new one?» I mean, I was trying to get home and drink, right? He passively denied me and, instead of doing his customer a favor, asked me–«Could you do me a favor and take just it?» I’ll do myself a favor and find another place to go.

How can they justify the prices? Most decent 6 packs are $ 8.99! Then they will offer one or two«on special» for 8.49 which comes out to $ 9.55 out the door. But there is a minimal price of $ 10 to use visa so you end up having to buy something else. These other 6 packs are 6.99 or at most 7.99 at other places(Sierra Nevada, eye of the hawk, Newcastle, etc). This is just a run of the mill place selling a commodity, not sure why they think they can charge so much. $ 10 for a 6 pack?!

This is a classic liquor store. I’ve been coming here since I turned 21. They always have what I’m in the mood for at a reasonable price. Some liquor stores get really trashy and filthy over time. But not this one. They show pride in their store and that’s why I try to buy here when I can. They are good people.

Meh. meh meh meh… this place is overpriced and the service is slow. it’s conveniently located but closes pretty early. i really try to support the mom and pop’s in my area but this place is really nothing special. they did let me park my car overnight in their lot when my battery died which was pretty cool of them. overall garden city is garden variety. i do dig their old school sign though.
