I wanted to give him 1 star for the way he treated my husband, but the work he did on my teeth was fine, and the receptionist was absolutely great… it’s not her fault the guy’s a jerk. My husband’s teeth aren’t in that good shape, and so when Dr. Pham looked at them, he said the only thing he would be willing to do was to pull them. He referred him to a periodontist, who recommended a $ 2500 procedure to start with, followed by another $ 1500 or so. As we didn’t have insurance, just one of those«discount plans»(these were the discounted rates), we couldn’t afford it, and didn’t return. About three weeks ago, my husband broke a tooth. Our new insurance didn’t kick in, so he had to wait for a few weeks before we could do anything. As soon as we could, I called Dr. Pham(who had previously said the only thing he would do would be to pull his teeth) and setup an appointment to get the broken tooth pulled. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly, and set up an appointment. About half an hour later, she called back, though, and said that the dentist wouldn’t do it, and my husband would have to find another dentist. The reason? He didn’t follow the prescribed treatment(for the periodontist), which we couldn’t afford. It makes me wonder if he gets a cut from the periodontist, eh? So now my husband has to go find a new dentist, go to the initial checkup appointment, and then go a second time before this tooth can be dealt with. Go to this dentist if you have perfect teeth that only need cleanings. I have to give him that, my teeth felt very clean, and the receptionist was sweet.
