UYE: Yelpers Unite for Sports Eats Drinks at The Luxury Box

Props to lovely Cat V. for throwing this super fun shindig! Teal and gold both on the big screens, along with some tasty food, solid drinks, and great company? Yes, please, and thank you!
The Luxury Box is a cozy spot that’s great for intimate gatherings. But make no mistake, this was no small affair. Cat filled up almost the entire place. The staff were super busy helping us get our eat and drink on, and did an awesome job! It is no easy job to take care of that many hungry, thirsty Unilocalers.
Our group kicked off the night with the **Blue Kona Big Wave Beer** to support our Sharks. Then began the endless stream of sinfully delicious **Deviled Eggs.** They came in original, bacon, and jalapeño flavor, and I must say the bacon ones were incredible! The **Macho Nachos** were a huge portion and such a great bar food item, especially since they were only $ 6 for a massively loaded plate. Cat arranged for a special rate of 50% off for the special UYE menu. Woohoo!
When scallops were brought out for Ben, I knew I needed to order some for myself. The **Spicy Seared Sea Scallops** were cooked to perfection, had excellent peppery flavor, and also came with Brussels sprouts. A very tasty meal that you wouldn’t expect from a sports bar. Very impressive! The **Mac N Cheese** was also mind-​blowing and totally worth $ 5 (or $ 2.50 if you ordered off the special menu). Since we ordered this at the end of the night, we devoured the entire dish within minutes. This is what happens after you have a few beers.
At the end of a review I usually say that I’ll definitely be back, but I’ve actually already been back since the UYE. That’s how much this place rocks.

What is better than 50% off appetizers & 25% entrees? All of the above at an UYE at the Luxury Box! Plus, both the SJ Sharks & Warriors games were on! Boo that the Sharks didn’t sweep LA though :(
The Kona BIg Wave «blue» pitcher of beer was an awesome deal to celebrate our Bay Area teams. Ours looked more green than blue, but whatevs. My favorite item of the night had to be the bacon deviled eggs, yum! They were absolutely delish :)
Also, loved that I finally got to meet some people in person like Cat & Denise, yay!

She was able to score us: 50% off apps, 25% off entrees, $ 1 off beer/​glass of wine, $ 4 off a bottle of wine & $ 10 for a pitcher of Kona Big Wave «Blue» to celebrate the Sharks! We had the macho nachos & 2-​way brick wings cause what better way to watch the game with some good bar grub?

Sweet event, Cat! Major props to organizing a fun night, with great people, food, drink and sports! The Luxury Box was the perfect venue for a bunch of us Unilocalers to get together and watch some Playoff Hockey and Basketball. I think we were at max capacity up in here! 50% off appetizers, 25% off main entrees and some great drink specials was just a cherry on top of an already fun night.
I had the Deviled Eggs *5 stars, and the Macho Nachos *5 stars. The menu has a good variety of different types of food, which will please just about anyone. Thanks Cat for introducing me to the Luxury Box, I will be back!

Beer, sports, and a Unilocal event? Sounds like my kind of night. A big shout to Cat for getting us hooked up with the specials! 25% off entrees? Ok, keep talking… 50% off appetizers? Alright, If that doesn’t intrigue you, there were all sorts of drink deals too and I’m not talking about sprite or ice tea, I’m talking about the good stuff! Beer specials and I’m sure there were specials for mixed as well.
But I must say that the Blue Kona Beer was off the charts! It was fantabulous.

Great event Cat! I just wanted to see some games… And that I did, warriors and sharks playoff games going on on several of there really nice tv’s. Great deals on appetizers… I enjoyed a few draft beers… There were free prizes! Thanks for the fun Thursday night event! The place was packed! Jam packed in a good way!

What a great turnout for this Southbay UYE and Cat didn’t even have to show that much leg and still got a great turnout now that’s saying something!?!
The Luxury Box was the perfect place to be at tonight because they had both the NHL Playoffs and the NBA Playoffs with both Bay-​Yay-​Area teams participating what more can you ask for as a Sports fan! So what better way to watch the game with our fellow SB Unilocalers and munching on 50% off appetizers and Drink specials throughout the night. My favorite app. was the Nachos, kind of spicy, but if you can’t handle it, there’s the door, get outta here playa!?!
