My review is for the disc golf course only. This course is like no other in the area. Uphill shots, swooping downhill shots, and fairways thinner than a dopey high school kids blue jeans. Come prepared to throw straight here. Another big recommendation would be to watch where your disc goes. Take your eyes off it and you’ll have a very hard time finding it. We enjoyed the course primarily due to the up & down factor. I believe all the holes are par-3’s, but the angles and inability to see some of the baskets from the tee mat make for a few par-4’s. Many holes involving climbing or descending steps, as several of them revolve around a natural ravine. The only downside on this course would probably be the brush and bugs. In season, mosquito’s and ticks are going to be nasty, especially if you have to hunt off-fairway for your disc. Otherwise, this is a very unique and fun course to play. And. after a few rounds, several of the holes probably become par-2’s. Cheers.

«Inch by inch, row by row, gonna make this garden grow”-John Denver I must have been rocky rocky mountain high when I decided to partake in the gardening season. This year, my mom and I rented two(20×30 ft) garden plots. For whatever reason one wasn’t enough(even though we are total novices and had no clue what we were doing) and I have since spent my days and evenings slaving away in the hot summer sun, weeding and watering. I even got stung by a bee for the first time in my life. F*ck that noise. The St. Charles Park District rents the plots out to residents for a nominal fee($ 35 I believe per plot), and you are responsible for caring for your plot and watering. FYI: watering does not include a hose. You will be filling buckets of water and carrying them. I believe the season started in late April and runs into the fall. Although it has been sheer torture at times, I have learned so much already. The fruits(literally) of my labor have provided me with a strong sense of accomplish. I now have squash, lettuce, beets, tomatoes, jalapenos, green peppers, radishes and beans! Basically, if you’re a lazy ass– do not sign up. You’re going to put your blood, sweat and tears into this plot, but the benefits will far outweigh the negative. It’s also prompted me to spend more time outdoors. and with my mommy(love that). There is little to no shade most of the time, and it super sucks when you’re hungover and it’s 500 degrees outside but it really gets you in tune with your dirty hippie side. Another bonus to busting ass is that sometimes garden neighbors hook you up with their excess veggies. I’ve tried some things I never had eaten before, including turnip greens. The overall vibe here is very chill and the atmosphere is great, tucked away on Campton Hills Rd. just west of Peck Rd. If you’re ready to to reap what you sow, sign up for a community garden plot in the spring!

This park a little bit hard to find if you just look at the website. So just an FYI: going west, it’s past the dog park entrance on Campton Hills Rd, less than a mile away. It will be on your right. Anyway, the course itself is okay. It’s not too challenging as most or all holes are a par 3. In my opinion, its a great beginner course. And believe me, I’m still a novice, probably only playing less than 10 times. Nevertheless, it’s a fun course because located solely in wooded terrain. That being said, get ready to «hike» up some hills. But seriously, its nothing too strenuous. They even put man-made steps for your convenience and staircases in certain parts of the course. Overall, it’s easy to navigate through and you’ll get through the 9 holes in less than an hour, maybe thirty minutes if there aren’t many people and you don’t loose a disc!
