Oser’s Dairy and Deli

Hands down the best place to get ice cream in Canal Fulton! Portions are generous beyond generous. Service is quick and the staff is always smiling!!!

I am a third generation Canal Fultonite who has always HIGHLY recommended Oser’s to locals and out of towers but my last experience there especially left me feeling disgusted and ashamed to have ever been a patron. After a wonderful day at the pumpkin patch with my Fiancé, 6 year old son and 6 month old 10 lb French Bulldog Napoleon, we decided to top off the day with ice cream cones.

Our son had Napoleon on a leash and walked in to pick out what he wanted. Within seconds of walking in, an employee told us we couldn’t bring him in here. So immediately we apologized and picked him up, on our way out a man in an Oser’s shirt screamed «NO DOGS! GET OUT!!» Following us out the man then repeatedly pointed to a 3 inch sticker on the door of a dog with a line through it. My Fiancé, highly annoyed at how he screamed/​embarassed his son, said «Thank you. I can read which is why we took him right out.»

Out of nowhere the man shouts «F&*$ YOU!!» and flipped him and our son off. Trying not exaserbate the situation we turned and went to our car to leave. However, before we left I went inside and asked the employees who is that man and does he work here? They responded saying his name was George and he was the OWNER!

Unbelievably George then gets in front of our car and tells us to «LEAVE» repeatedly. Eventually after people came from across the street to calm the situation and tell him we couldnt leave if he was in front of the car, we were able to go home.

Never have I EVER been so disrespected as a loyal customer in my life. And all over a puppy on a leash accidentally walking into the business! The cherry on top was our son asking «What does F&#$ off mean Daddy?» Needless to say we will never give them a dime of our money and make sure to tell everyone else the same!
PS My Fiancé called afterwards and asked them to please consult this as a company and call us back with how they will handle this/​prevent this from ever happening to another family again before we would write a bad review but its been a week and not a word.

Great little place to get a sandwich or ice cream. A half block off the tow path and they keep the prices very affordable. Seating is limited and it can get quite crowded inside.

Located in the cute, quaint area of downtown Canal Fulton… I think people would go here whether or not the food & service were good just because of location.
Well, we have been here a few times, only had ice cream, though. Their portions are huge. Once I saw the size of a small cone, I opted for a children’s cone, which was plenty.
They offer lots of root beers, drinks, ice cream & soft serve. It has an old-​fashioned interior (way too dusty, though!) with a deli. I am sure the next time we hit the Towpath, we will stop here for lunch and a root beer!
