We have been shopping at Blystone since before they expanded and we LOVE it! I was diagnosed with inflammatory issues and told to do the Paleo diet so I need humanly treated meat without all the added junk but I also don’t want to break the bank! Blystone has been perfect for this. Everything tastes good and is fresh, you can tell they respect every process they take to get it to your table. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable and will take the time to talk to you about any questions you may have. We have a smoker and this is the only place we get our meat and my husband’s pulled pork, ribs and smoked Easter ham can not be beat! And now that they have expanded, Blystone can literally be my one-stop-shop, from appetizer to desert, they even have gluten-free goodies! I would be lost without them, seriously!

I first went to Blystone based on a local recommendation. I have since found it hard to keep myself away! The meat is great, the ambiance is awesome, and the service is amazing! Holy Pork Chop! I will recommend this place to anyone willing to listen! Even their deli sandwiches are delicious. These guys have built my favorite place to shop in Columbus! Don’t go here if you want someone to sell you quickly and get out of their place as quick as possible. So in love!

The service is beyond amazing, the staff is so friendly and helpful! Ive recommended them to everyone. The meat is awesome! You have to try the filet mignon burgers! This is a gem for sure. We never go anywhere else for our butcher needs! Haven’t yet tried the bakery but I hear the pies are out of this world! My only complaint is… I wish they were open later. I feel like I’m rushing off of work to get there before they close.

I found out about Blystone Farm via a Unilocal search for«farm market» in Columbus. Since I’ve had it bookmarked for quite some time, I took the opportunity to swing by on my half-day off. Meat, sandwich spread, bread and candy. All in one place. All made at Blystone. All natural, no preservatives/additives crap. Original! Exceptional customer service. From the lady in the bakery, to the young gentleman behind the meat counter. Mason knew his stuff. Really well! We had a few questions about their animal care and butcher practices. He thoroughly explained the different meats/cuts. I couldn’t help myself, and bought four prime cut ribeye steaks. They cut the pieces in the back. Fantastic. I was so impressed about Mason’s bluntness in describing the chew/moistness of different steaks. Along the front wall, giant fridges hold prepackaged meat cuts. Everything. No, seriously, a little bit of everything! Bacon, ham loaf, bison meat, sirloin ground beef, roasts, I could go on. Tons of different patties. Picked out a few small patties of bacon sausage. I’ll take breakfast for dinner. Move it to the kitchen. Thank you very much. Got a container of their homemade Chicken Salad with Cranberries — one of few chicken salad spreads I’ve tasted that was all about the meat and not the mayo/sauce. Excellent recipe! Also splurged and got a piece of their homemade cheesecake and a few buckeye candies. My sweet tooth is already crying out unto the dying night! Giddy with anticiiiiiipation ;D Put in an order for their melt in your mouth rolls, too, so Thanksgiving’s already gonna rock! For the past couple of years, my family has purchased a locally-sourced half-cow, cut, packaged and frozen, to last the year. The last business we ordered from, the meat was not up to quality as the prior times. Unfortunately, we’ve been unable to locate the original sellers/butcher. So, today we inquired with a different gentleman at Blystone. Told us all about their cattle, the cuts. Everything is done at this farm, so in essence, customers are saving by not having to pay the farm, a different butcher, AND final processing. This meat shop is an all-in-one establishment — awesome! I’ll definitely be frequenting this market more often!

I love this place! It was recently renovated and it looks awesome. Everything I’ve ever purchased from Blystone is fantastic. You can definitely taste the difference between chicken breast from Blystone and what you buy at the grocery store. We bought a marinated tri tip roast last week(burgundy pepper I believe it’s called). The person at the register told us how to cook it using a cast iron pan and the oven and it came out perfectly. Our dinner guests were very impressed(and so were we!). We also bought some of Janie’s homemade potato salad to go with the meal. It was so delicious I actually used a spatula to get every morsel of goodness from the container. Went back the next day to purchase some chicken salad and ham salad for lunches. Both were amazing. I was also able to buy Jackie O’s and Four String 6 packs! Awesome! Can’t wait to try more of their selection!

Awesome steaks, and meats. I don’t eat steak but really wish I did as they are aged in house and I could tell they would be so wonderfully delicious. However, on my first visit, I bought some Thai Pork Chops — the marinade was just perfect and not too strong tasting, just enough to add some good flavor and the pork chops were so tender and juicy. Also, bought a chicken breast, which apparently is treated in a similar way to the steaks, so it was oh so tender too. I just went back today for my second visit and bought some of the meatballs — as recommended by another Unilocaler — and they lived up to expectations — very tasty and light. On both visits, everyone was very friendly and very helpful. If I lived in the area, I would be sure to shop at this shop more than once or twice a week!

Can’t say enough good things about this place. Discovered last yr when we moved to OH by a Google search and hooked since. I’ll make the 20 min drive to pick up something meat for dinner instead of the 5 min drive to a chain grocery store for mystery meat. All the employees are super friendly and helpful. If you want a place where you can ‘know your butcher,’ this is the place. We enjoy the speciality items like meats with different homemade marinates that are 100% good to go and tossed on the grill. The meatballs are amazing. A must have for a quick and easy dinner night. We’ve also ordered homemade pitas, tsatziki and gyro meat for a birthday party. Was great and only needed warmed in the crock pot. My dogs love the smoked bones too. I like that I can get basic produce, deli items, beer and dairy items too so I don’t also have to make another trip to the grocery store. My kids love seeing their ‘puppies,’ farm animals and getting a frosted cookie too. I enjoy knowing my meat isn’t coming from some factory farm as well.

My mother and I had a great experience here today. It was really easy to find and the hours were clearly posted out by the road and at the door. They had a great selection of meats and they also have a bakery attached to it. They have some vegetables — more I’d assume when they’re in season — as well as some dairy, beer and a small selection of coffee and sauces. The prices were very reasonable — definitely pricier than the grocery store but also better quality. I purchased a sirloin steak for dinner tonight and it was absolutely amazing! Worth every penny and extremely tender, flavorful, and juicy. The thing that really stood out to us though were the employees. Every single one of them were friendly, smiling, and didn’t act annoyed at being asked questions. We had the man who helped us grabbing a lot for us and he never once acted like we were an inconvenience to him. We will definitely be back and will probably do the majority — if not all — of our meat shopping here. Plus, it’s a local business. I feel a lot better about giving Blystone my money over one of the chain stores in the area.

The only local place where we will take our pigs to be butchered. They always do a fabulous job, with the hams especially. They truly care about the animals and treat them humanely. Might be a bit pricier than others, like Falter’s or Twin City, but well worth it. The newly opened store is outstanding with lots of gourmet and local options.

Absolutely the only place where I’ll buy beef in the area. Outstanding owners and family run business.
