WOW! We had read the positive reviews, but this place is amazing! Our order consisted of two appetizers(veggie samosa and paneer), both of which were immaculate in presentation and fantastic in taste. The samosa came out almost immediately — certainly the fastest I’ve been served an appetizer course at any restaurant, they were delicious and fresh and could have been their own meal. Our main courses of chicken tikka masala and tandoori chicken were pure heaven. The tandoori comes on a sizzling plate and the tikka masala with a huge bowl of perfect basmati rice. The tikka masala was creamy and bursting with flavor — I couldn’t stop myself from finishing the whole thing.(I erred on the side of caution and went with medium spice, but next time will kick it up to hot — it was pretty mild even for my run of the mill tolerance.) We added on a side of garlic naan — easily the freshest naan we’ve ever had, including restaurants in Los Angeles, it was to die for. During our Friday visit there was even a flautist performing, which added a lovely touch to our experience. Our server was an absolutely lovely person, very helpful and enthusiastic, she even brought us a sample of the ghost pepper chili sauce(which is exactly as intense as it sounds). All of the above plus drinks and we still spent about half of what we expected to spend on a two course dinner. We will be back for sure!

I was home for a visit, and was told Canandaigua now has an Indian restaurant, so naturally I had to check it out. First of all, walking inside I had low expectations of the overall appearance of the location since it used to be a pizza shop for many years. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and tidy the inside was. They completely renovated the space and made it welcoming and inviting. 2 people of whom I was with tried the lunch buffet and said it was delicious and filling. I wanted to try something off of the menu, so I ordered the Spicy Curry. Since I am lactose intolerant, I asked if they could make the curry without cream and they were extremely helpful in ensuring that it would just be made with coconut milk. They also gave me a separate order of Naan without butter, and even offered a gluten free option, if applicable. The service was always attentive and friendly. The music in the background created a calm, peaceful atmosphere. If you’re in Canandaigua and willing to try something new, I would 10⁄10 recommend trying Flavors!

Great food– we ordered veggie samosas, Flavor special plate, chicken tikka masala, cauliflower/potato, naan, basmati rice, chai tea, and get ready for this– homemade pistachio ice cream, kulfi, rice pudding(and then the lovely waitress brought us samples of mango mousse and gulab jamun). Miraculously, all three of us were able to get up and walk to our car after this(admittedly, with substantial to-go containers). Everything was delicious and the service was warm and friendly. The shrimp on the special sizzling plate was the only item that was not four/five-star quality. The chicken was good and the lamb– superb! Give this place a try!

Looking for lunch, Unilocal scored a great find for us again! We were a little skeptical finding this place in an old strip mall type place on the backstreets of Canandaigua, wedged between Planned Parenthood and an Army Recruiter, but went in anyway. Small little place with friendly people. Awesome traditional Indian food on a lunch buffet. Everything was super fresh and home made. The naan was made fresh to order. Will definitely be coming back here again! Best Indian food in the area as far as we are concerned!

Pleasantly surprised and excited by this nondescript-appearing indian restaurant in a Canandaigua strip mall. Slightly off the main drag of Main Street, Flavors is a serious gem, especially for lunch. Advertising a lunch buffet everyday for about $ 8, you can take-away from the buffet by filling up a styrofoam container with absolutely obscene amounts of food. Chana masala and pekora were particularly good. The Naan was piping hot and fresh. All the food was flavorful and cooked freshly. Excellent value. The man working at the time was very friendly and happy to provide help with assembling the food we confiscated for under $ 30. At least taking away food from a buffet ensures you won’t stuff yourself with seconds!

I HIGHLY recommend Flavors for anyone who loves Indian food. Everything is made fresh, the food is authentic, and the taste is incredible. Definitely try the buffet first to get a little bit of everything the menu has to offer. Don’t worry, I’m pretty sure bad tasting things don’t exist at this restaurant. Everything I’ve ever had has been delicious. The owner is fantastic; totally willing to answer any and all questions, make food prepared to your liking, and give recommendations. The restaurant is very clean and well taken care of. And you just cannot beat the price. It’s a one of a kind restaurant for Canandaigua and you need to try it out now. Not later. Right now.

Solid choice(not to mention the only choice) for Indian in the finger lakes area. Its cool that the owner saw an open market for an Indian restaurant here and took the opportunity. Came here on a saturday evening and it was only about ¼ full but the place is still new. We liked everything we ordered which was the typical Indian fare, samosa, naan, saag chicken, etc. No liquor license yet but waitress told us theyre working on it. All in all, we were pleased and definitely plan to return

This local Indian restaurant is a real gem. The food is authentic, fresh and delicious. My group of 3 had the Flavour Special(Tandoori mix, lamb, chicken tikka), Seafood Madrasi Kadhai, veggie samosa and garlic naan. All the food was expertly prepared and delicious! The location is a bit hidden, but definitely worth seeking out. I look forward to dining here again on my next visit to the area.
