Lowe’s

I do not write outstanding reviews ever. I have been to Canandaigua Lowe’s regularly since they built this store & Chase Pitkin closed. I have gotten the rude cutomer service desk employee. I have gotten the ill-​informed «expert» that didn’t help at all. I have encountered apathy. But more recently I have encountered excellence & not just once. I have been in many more times than usual lately & have met Marybeth. She has answered my dumb questions, researched information for me & has helped me to solve crazy «think outside of the box» problems. I also found her making sure that customers were taken care of by other Lowe’s employees in their jurisdiction. Go see Marybeth when you really need someone who knows or more importantly, can get you the answer. Also, I was helped in the paint department by a woman who really took the time to help me read the labels & make the best choice, & more than once. I was helped greatly by a man who was on his way to his break, but stopped to helped me find the right sealer for my sign. I also have to thank Ryan in flooring. He really knows his department & is very helpful.

I just spent 15 minutes at the paint counter trying to get a color sample for a design project I am currently working on. I was told that my can of unmixed paint was perfectly fine and that I could stir at myself. I can’t believe I just paid money for that.
The level of talent at this location lacks luster. This is my second encounter with an uneducated, disrespectful associate. Never will I visit this location again. They should really take some customer service courses from the location in Greece where they are talented, educated and helpful.
